About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Voyager144679324010 contributionsHighlight of our tripWe went down to the Keys for a week to begin the New Year and this was the highlight of our week! We were celebrating our anniversary and brought our adult children along on the trip so wanted to do an excursion and I picked this one based on the reviews. It exceeded our expectations! The guides are so knowledgeable and humorous--we learned a ton. They found a pod of very active dolphins almost immediately so we followed them a while. Then when we got to the place where they feed the sharks, the sharks showed up almost immediately. No one else was around since this is the only excursion that does this. They made sure everyone had a chance to see up close. It was fascinating. Way better than just a dolphin sightseeing cruise would have been. If you're planning a trip to Key West, we'd highly recommend this excursion!!!Written 11 January 2025
- Slippery440 contributionsGreat shark seeing experienceWe had a great time on our Shark Tour. The tour guides were great, very knowledgeable and fun. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in seeing some sharks up closeWritten 21 October 2024
- briani6320 contributionsBest shark trip everThe crew was amazing. We got out to the feeding site and right away sharks started coming to the boat. They even got the kids involved and had them help feed the sharks. Unfortunately it was cut a little short because of the rain, but they made the best of it by trying to find a new place to feed sharks. But we did see some dolphins and learned a lot about the wildlife in the area. Absolutely a must do!!!Written 25 August 2024

- epps970 contributionsFeeding FrenzyThis was a mother-daughter trip and we decided to take this tour to see some sharks. Captain Ken and his son Clay were fantastic guides and a lot of fun. They told some great personal stories and found a lot of sharks. Everyone got some great pictures and videos of the shark fest. We learned a lot about different kinds of sharks. After feeding the sharks we went in search of dolphins. We only saw 4 but one happened to be a baby and Clay estimated it was about 10 days old. So cute. If you have the time I would definitely do this tour. I’m coming back in April with my husband and this is on our “to do” list.Written 22 October 2023

Just wow, what an experience! I, or rather we, can really only recommend the tour to anyone who likes sharks. You go out to sea for about half an hour. The water there is only about 1 m deep, I would estimate. The trip is very calm and pleasant with a nice breeze that cools you down in hot temperatures. The boat is also covered. There are also free chilled drinks. The operator is a family business - the father with his two sons, really very friendly. They also know a lot about life in the sea off the coast of Florida and you can ask all your questions, which are answered really well. Feeding the sharks itself is of course absolutely amazing. Lemon sharks come and snap at the fish from what feels like 2 m away - really very impressive and worth every euro! You also feel very safe at all times! Absolutely recommended!

Spent a long weekend in Key West for our 25th anniversary and wanted to find an activity that was affordable and interesting. We chose the Shark and Wildlife Viewing Adventure because it was affordable and was smaller than most other excursions we looked at. Most of the sunset cruises and sandbar excursions took up a lot of the day and/or hosted a larger group of people. We wanted a something a little less crowded. It was our first time in Key West and did not want an entire day taken up on an excursion. This trip was perfect. We saw sharks, stingrays, dolphins and even a turtle and it was a beautiful day on the water. The captains and crew were friendly and knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a chance to see the sharks. If you are looking for a family friendly excursion this is a great choice as well. Highly recommend!!

These two guys were funny and made sure everyone got to see the sharks and they also would stop and make sure we seen something cool if it was there like a sea turtle floating in the water. Ultimately I just really enjoyed the trip and the talks I had with the guide I would 100% recommend!!!

The experience was not what the website says. The website says: "Experience eco tours ... for 2 hours of shark and wildlife viewing. A scent is deployed to attract these apex predators right next to the boat. In these calm waters you will see a variety of wildlife, turtles, stingrays, birds and dolphins." What really happened: 30-minute boat ride out to a place where they anchored and then explained that they come to this area daily and that the sharks know them. Sharks began swarming the boat. Then they attached dead fish to a rope and teased the sharks with it for about 30 minutes, occasionally allowing sharks to rip off sections of the fish and often just lifting the fish back up so they couldn't get it. I'm a firm believer that nature should be viewed, not teased and tormented, so while my kids enjoyed the trip, it is not something I would have booked if they had accurately stated what the trip would be like. After the shark teasing, we then cruised around to look for dolphins for about 45 mins before returning. Unfortunately the dolphins were not out today, which is totally not their fault and I'm just really glad that they didn't tease them, too! I understand not everyone feels the way I do so if you think this is an appropriate way to treat wild animals, then this might be a good choice for you. They were a pleasant crew, happy to chat with everyone and share their years of experience with everyone. They provided cold bottled water, Capri Sun, and sodas.

It is unfortunate to hear your feedback about our tour that we take a lot of pride in. Your take on feeding the sharks is certainly an unusual one. The perception of them being "teased" and "tormented" is rather absurd description as it's not like we did not let them feed to just drive away. The bait simply must be used to attract the sharks to the boat so you can even have a chance of viewing them otherwise no shark is just going to randomly approach a boat without knowing there is a food source they have the opportunity for. We too wish that you would have done a bit more research or thought how the shark encounter would actually play out but perhaps you did not look at a single picture which shows exactly what occurs. Despite your feelings we are pleased to hear that your kids enjoyed the trip.

This was the most amazing experience! The captain was awesome & so was his nephews who help with the excursions! Our first trip ever out on a boat in the ocean & they all made us feel at ease & not so nervous. Thank you guys alot for giving us that up close “personal” experience with the sharks! From booking a reservation, the price, the nephews ( sorry I don’t remember their names ) were very helpful at explaining everything to us!! Will highly recommend any family or friends that may come for a visit to check this place out & go see some sharks! Thank you guys again!

We were in Key West for a couple of days so we looked for some kind of a boat tour (but not sunset since the condo we had was on the water with a perfect sunset view already). We also didn't want to spend too much time in the sun so we decided to go with the 2-hour Shark Tour even though we didn't really need to see the sharks. But we're glad we did see sharks; it was very cool. The father and sons crew were personable and knowledgeable; they really took care of everyone, with special attention to the kids, making sure they all got a good look at the feeding frenzy. We also saw a couple of rays and finally caught up with a dolphin. A very pleasant 2 hours and highly recommended!

This was an amazing adventure. When my wife signed us up for "shark seeing", I thought, "yeah right, we'll be lucky to see 1 shark" but love the ocean so thought it would be a relaxing boat ride at best. How wrong I was! We saw over 20 sharks and the crew feeding them at the front of the boat was simply amazing! I've never seen so many sharks up close & personal. Then, the icing on the cake was the trip out to the marine sanctuary where we saw a bunch of dolphins swimming around and jumping & chasing the boat - it was spectacular. The crew was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The boat was well cared for and they did not cram us on like sardines - there was plenty of room to move around, enjoy the scenery and soak up the sun. They provided water & other assorted drinks as well. This was an extraordinary adventure; we plan to do it again hopefully sometime in the near future on our return trip to Key West!

This was at the top of the list of things we did in Key West. Matt and Clay were phenomenal guides, keeping us entertained with knowledgeable yet humorous stories. We saw dolphins on our way to the shark feeding area, which was very cool; but, the sharks were definitely the show stoppers. We were mesmerized by them! The guides were very cognizant of making sure that everyone on board got every opportunity to get a front row view of the sharks. You most definitely would not be disappointed by booking this trip…we will again!

We went with our family of 5, and everyone had a great time. They ask that you be there about 30 minutes before to get checked in, and that gave us enough time for signing waivers, adding our names to a list for a head count, and then heading up to use the bathrooms ahead of time. Parking was easy at the parking garage for about $5 an hour.
We hopped on the boat, had a quick safety talk, and then got going. There were plenty of seats in both sun and shade, and some even had backs to lean on. Backpacks and bags were able to be stored under the benches. We had 28 on board, and there was more than enough room for all.
Once we left the harbor, we could get up and walk around. The Captain encouraged us to look out for wildlife, and helped point out things he saw along the way. He was able to see a small pod of dolphins, and drove the boat over by them. They happily swam all around the boat while it idled. After they swam off we went to the anchor they have out for feeding the sharks.
The actual feeding of the sharks was done at the end of the boat, and they made sure everyone got a chance to see. Several fish were dangled and fed to the sharks while we had educational talks about the wildlife. (This would be an extremely cool field trip.) There must've been at least 20 lemon sharks today, but they did say there were other types that came to feed on occasion.
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who loves water, wildlife, and especially sharks.
One note...bring your own sunglasses and snacks. They have a whole cooler full of a variety of drinks, but the website hasn't been updated with some minor changes.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE 5 STAR REVIEW! It's nice to be appreciated. Such a great, descriptive review. We discontinued the snacks because the bags kept blowing overboard. Since Covid, the Coast Guard asked us to stop loaning out sunglasses. We intend to loan them out again when all this craziness is over. Hope to see you again soon.

This was one of the most amazing adventure we had, my kids loved it, even my 12 year old daughter who I never thought would be a fan of sharks! The tour is very well organized, we saw a lot of sharks, they made sure that everybody had the opportunity to have a front row seat to make photos and videos. The captain and his son who were running the show were friendly, they shared interesting information about the sharks and you could tell from the way they spoke that they respect and love mother nature. Although it is a shark tour they also made a short stop where we encountered a pod of dolphins including a baby. This tour is an awesome opportunity to see these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. I would say this is a must do trip when you are in Key West!

How is the boat ride? Smooth? I tend to get motion sickness.

The boat ride out was very easy and they take it slow. I also believe they cancel in rough weather. They stay inside the reef and within a few miles of shore.
