        A Fab Morning in Everglades
Lindsey was so much fun, so knowledgable and very patient with us, answering all questions (even when someone asks a question right after she gave that information!!!) The snacks offered were good with fresh fruit, salty items and a wide array of drinks. She is an excellent driver and the van was comfortable and clean. The magenta mug is very big, too hefty for me. I would have preferred a shirt or a temporary tattoo or something less common than a mug. But yay that it is not plastic and can hold hot & cold drinks👏🏻 We loved our morning in the Everglades and thank Lindsey for making our day one to remember forever.

Great day, Great people, Great expetimxe
We were picked from our guide on time and were met with smile. Enoch our guide was very engaging during our journey to meet up with others for the Everglades fan boat tour. This was an awesome experience from the actual boat ride to seeing alligators in the wild ( especially mama- a large female alligator we saw). Our journey then took us for a lunch at a local vetted restaurant ( so nice to see the support of local businesses and not large chains). We then ended up at our next adventure. A boat ride to 10000 islands where we saw beautiful scenery and had a nice relaxing boat ride. We were not as fortunate as the other boats as they had Dolphins swimming behind them in their wake ( saw video) We then proceeded from there to a location for a nature walk with two naturalist ( Armando and Enoch) They tag teamed to make our experience that much more better. Armando finished with a speech with a heart felt speech about becoming ng in nature as one and living the moment. This especially reached home as a lady in our group was ill and dying. You would not have known by her joy for the life she was living at that moment. Wish her all the best for her remaining time. When then all said our good byes and departed to our original locations ( a great group of individuals we met which enhanced our experience). Enoch then drove us back to our hotel. Would recommend this tour 100%

        A full day of adventure!
What an amazing day! Our wonderful tour guide, Eli, was a fountain of natural and historical information about the environment and people of the areas we visited. We had a full day of adventure with the bonus of learning far more than I had expected for a tour of this kind. I am so glad to have participated. Wild Lime was great when working through a few administrative problems that came up through no fault of their own. Communications were clear and effective. I definitely recommend this tour and operator.

        Worth it!
We started out a little bumpy due to some confusion about the time but the trip was well worth it. Our guides were fantastic and superknowledgeable. It was the highlight of my trip. If I were to recommend a suggestion it would be make the walking tour longer.

Great Experience with Wild Lime Adventures
My wife and I had a great day with Wild Lime Adventures led by Abigail. We did the full day tour that included the airboat, dry hike and 1000 Islands. Abigail was very informative and she enjoys what she does and is very good at it. We saw lots of birds, plants and wildlife which made our first ever Everglades trip very memorable.

Great Everglades tour - not to be missed
This is an excellent trip and Abigail our guide for the day did a fabulous job in sharing her extensive knowledge and expertise of the Everglades. The only downside was unusually cold Florida weather making the boat trips rather chilly, but despite this we really enjoyed the day, learnt lots about the Everglades and saw fabulous wild life including many birds; alligators; manatees and dolphin. Our thanks again to Abigail - a great guide for the day.

        Amazing experience!
It was great. End to end. Ben, the boss, was super nice by letting us reschedule at the last minute. And the organization was super good. And Ryan, the guide, was a gold mine in terms of knowledge. I learnt so many things, cultural and scientific facts during the entire day. And the experience itself, with many steps : boat, airboat, walks… it was rich and interesting all along. Keep doing what you do guys, this is great !

        Amazing Everglades National Park experience
This is an excellent National Park tour of Everglades National Park. The animal life is abundant including alligators, birds, dolphins and turtles on our tour. The airboat ride took us into tribal land that gave insight into how the native tribe lived. The boat ride into the Ten Thousand Islands area was a highlight especially with the dolphins playing in the boat’s wake. Most importlantly our guide Armando is passionate about the Everglades and is passionate about teaching the public about the history, wildlife and plants of the Everglades. Highly recommended

        Smitten by the Everglades
This was our first time in the Everglades and we hope one day to go back and explore more. We would do it over and over again with Wild Lime and what I believe is the most enthusiastic nature guide I have ever met, Armando. He grew up near the Everglades and his passion for the park is obvious, and as a guest in his world you can’t help but be amazed by every feature whether it’s an animal, a plant or a fossil. I believe he is an alligator whisperer; he has the photos to prove it. Don’t disappoint yourself by booking a half-day. Go for the full day and be sure to ask for Armando. Some helpful info: The vehicles we rode in were spacious and clean. There are several bathroom breaks during the day. The lunch that is included is absolutely delicious (one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had). If you plan to tip during a full day, there are a few opportunities (air boat ride, boat ride, restaurant and the Wild Lime guide) so have a few bucks in your pocket otherwise you need to dash back to the van each time. The full-day is a long day. Don’t make plans for the evening because you’ll be exhausted but very very satisfied.

        Full day adventure
Our naturist Armando was very knowledgeable and taught us about the wildlife, fauna, native peoples, and history. I can’t overstate how much we enjoyed our time in the park and preserve. Thank you Wild Lime Adventures and a special thanks to Armando for all you do to educate and preserve this irreplaceable ecosystem.

The most in-depth day trip to the Everglades
Let's not beat about the bush - this tour is expensive. Very, very expensive. Having said that, the tour is very good. After a round of hotel pick-ups,. you are driven to a rendezvous on the edge of the Everglades where you meet your fellow group members and guides for the day - different groups will gave signed uo to do different tours. This one is the biggest and baddest. Then there are three main sections for the day: First off, there is an air boat ride over marshland, looking for alligators and wading birds. Sometimes there are snakes too, but it was not a snakey day when I went. The boats are run by the Miccosukee tribe. They are large and you are likely to be combined with other groups on the boat. Next up is a brief stop at the Big Cypress Park Nathaniel P Reed visitor centre where there are plenty of alligators to be seen. There are also interesting films broadcast in the auditorium but the stop is not really long enough to engage with these. Then lunch at Joanie's Blue Crab Cafe. You pre-order food at the start of the morning so it is delivered quickly. I had a blackened fish sandwich - which is one of Florida's famous dishes. Then Joanie came out to sell us key lime pie (the other famous Floridan dish) at extra cost. The second big stop was for a boat ride in the Ten Thousand Islands to look for dolphins. We got lucky and had dolphins following us for a long way. and we also saw swimming raccoons = which are in scarce supply as they are preyed upon by the invasive Burmese python. On the way we passed through Everglades City where most of the men had to go to prison for being involved in the drugs supply line, and visited the historic Smallwood Store. The third and final stop was the wet walk. This is the bit that I had been most hesitant about - mostly concerning what to wear and how the logistics would work. The answer is that there is an opportunity to change before and after the wet walk, and the team make old shoes (pre-dampened) available for anyone who wants them. I got wet up to the tops of my thighs, but given that the floor is full of mud and hidden obstacles, it is always possible that you would fall and get completely submerged. I had brought a dry bag for my phone for this possibility. It was a sensible precaution but it did make getting it out to take a photograph something of a hassle. The walk itself was around a cypress dome - aka an alligator hole. The alligators do not see people as prey so they tend to back away if people appear. We were able to see many rare endemic plants and experience a habitat that is completely alien for humans. All under the watchful eyes of the alligator. Then, after changing back into dry clothes, we were left back in our hotels. Overall the day started at about 7 and ended at gone 6 o'clock, Our guide, Elijah Ruby, was a great asset. He knew the biology stuff but he also had a passion for the history and the people of the Floridan peninsula. While that may not be everyone's interest on the tour, it worked for me - understanding how Florida transformed from a swampy backwater with few inhabitants and little development to the cities and holiday destinations we see today. This came through in little details, like the way when we sat the smallest Post Office in the USA at Ochopee, Elijah told us about the communities it served and the huge area to which it delivered. This turned a quirky hut selling postcards into something real and functional. Throughout the day, we had access to water and snacks (crisps, biscuits, etc) in the vehicle. We were also given a water bottle to take away. If I could offer a couple of suggestions - they would be (a) to start earlier to allow longer at the Nathaniel P Reed Centre; and (b) to include the key lime pie in the price - or just add it onto the price. Otherwise it feels a bit like being nickel and dimed. I am glad to have done this tour and I don't believe there would be a more comprehensive day trip to the Everglades on offer. You see three different environments in three different ways. You see some last vestige of Florida's soul that has long been lost in Miami. I just wish it had not been quote so expensive.

The tour was very well organized and was satisfied in a personal setting with 9 participants. Even water and snacks were on board.
The tour guide knew extremely well and informed us perfectly about the wildlife and nature. We were lucky and saw many alligators, turtles and rare birds.
The swamp boat tour was impressive and the boatmaster knew the location of the alligators. Even very young alligator babies he could show us.
We can recommend this tour, especially if mass tourism is not desired.

An epic day with Ryan. What a fantastic guide, full of knowledge about the history of Florida and the flora and fauna of the region. His infectious enthusiasm really made the day. Just for context, we were a family of 3, my wife and i and our youngest...a screen-obsessed 13 year old boy. We got picked up around 7.30am from our hotel at South Beach and after an hour's drive, headed out on a nature walk. Plenty of amazing birds and a few turtles to see up close in the national park, but obvs the aligators were the main attraction and we saw 6 to 8 along the walk, just a few feet away. Then off to a nearby Miccosukee run air boat experience. A few snacks and then onto the air boat, captained by Fabian who was another great host for us. The group was only 14 in size. It felt like the perfect number. The air boat experience was sensational, floating above the water at great speed, then slowing and stopping to get right up close to some huge aligators in their natural habitat - with some very tame birds riding along with us, well used to getting some tasty treats hand fed by Fabian.
We did the 3 hour option which, with traffic, actually ran from 7.30am to around 2.30pm. I'd recommend this trip with Wild Lime to anyone who wants an authentic Everglades experience, rather than the ones that feel more like you're heading to a zoo. It kept our son off his phone for hours! It was just brilliant.

Thank you so much for emphasizing the authentic nature of our tour. We love seeing all of what we do get to see in the wild! And getting to experience all of that with you and your son... is what makes what we get to do so amazing. Thank you for your wonderful review. And for choosing to spend the day out there with us!

I feel 110% smarter about the FL Everglades and how they work and have a significant impact on the area. The knowledge/spotting of the local plants and animals was spatular(Bald Eagals to butterflies )!! Abigail’s narration was engaging and tailored to the group, and made the time fly by between stops on our tour! She created empathy for the Everglades with balanced dialogue about pros and cons of past and current impacts this unique environment is and has experienced.

This trip should have more time in the Native tribe area. Also, we only visited one tribal area instead of two. It all felt too rushed; we didn’t even have time to explore the items available for purchase in the tribe area or the gift shop. Even if traffic delays entry to the park by 15 minutes, sufficient time should be given.
If they gave it even another half hour total time so that everything isn’t rushed—especially when you figure in the cost—it would be much better.
I will say that the people you deal with are all very nice.

Thanks for your feedback. Feedback is always helpful. We do an air boat trip out into the Native tribal area for longer than just about any other company out there. We are usually out there for 60-70 minutes, which reflects our unique relationship with the Tribe, and we stop at a Native tree island to get off and explore. That's pretty authentic, but we have never advertised that we go to a gift shop. That is really never been a part of this tour. I know a lot of tours make use of ending up in a gift shop, but that is not something we want to focus on. It's not our style. We'd rather have as much time as we can out on the air boat, exploring, looking for wildlife, becomming immersed in the true "River of Grass," and learning about the Tribal culture and history. We do include a lot of narration from our guides that speaks to their history and culture, which is an important part of our tour. We appreciate you coming on our tour.

During our stay in Miami we booked a tour to the Everglades with Wild Lime Adventures. A very exciting and educative Experience!
Armando was very personable, kind and attentive. Superbly knowledgeable on all things wild life, vegetation, local culture. We conversed during the drive and the tour, a pretty interesting conversation - getting a great sense of the local environment.
The tour was informative and factual, yet quite entertaining - presented by Armando with charisma and wit!
We learned and enjoyed a lot!
The AirBoat was also super fun and of course sightings of gators and various species of animals + plants was the focal point of this wonderful venture!

Thank you Armando and Team! We will be back!

We are looking forward to this trip as part of my wifes birthday treat whilst on a few days stop-over in Florida. Arranging it from the UK was easy enough, but I had a few nerves that it might not go to plan.

However, the communications from Ben, Caroline and the Wild Lime Adventure team was excellent and very reassuring.

Our guide for the day was Elijah. He was just excellent. He arrived at our hotel, to pick us up, in good time, and he was polite, very knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the environment and its history.

The walk through the area was brought to life by Elijah, who was full of enthusiasm to educate us, in an affable manner. When we encountered a resting alligator by the side of the path, he ensured we kept a respective distance, but used the opportunity to enlighten us on these fascinating creatures.

Skimming through the Everglades on the airboat was safe, exciting and great fun. Again Elijah, and the boat captain, were very informative and engaging.

Elijah, ably supported by the rest of the team, made this trip the highlight of our short visit to the USA before moving on.

Details such as the use of sun cream, insect repellent, chilled water and snacks etc were most welcome. And the reusable water bottle was an unexpected bonus.

We simply could not be more impressed. Thank you all at Wild Lime Adventures!!

My family took this tour in the heat of early September, I would recommend that if you have the opportunity to come visit at a cooler time, do so.
The nature walk was a slight disappointment in that it was simply a walk down the Shark Valley tram road, I had expected something more off path, but I guess there aren't any hiking trails at Shark Valley. Our guide, Elijah had lots of interesting information about the creatures we saw along the way and details about the park and the native people of the area
The air boat tour of the everglades was very cool. The boat held 12 people and our guide had lots of information. We got to see baby alligators and some turtles that were being rehabbed. We stopped at two islands to learn more about the native peoples that lived there and their way of life. All in all an enjoyable, but hot trip.
Try to do this in cooler weather.

Yes, it can get pretty hot in the summer when you went, for sure. There's not a lot we can do about that, of couse. And sometimes some of the wildlife is a bit harder to spot that time of year. But getting to see the real Everglades is pretty magical any time of year. We are happy that you appreciated parts of this tour. You'll have to come out on another adventure with us during a different season too!

I recently went on the 1-Hour Airboat Ride and Nature Walk with a Naturalist in Everglades National Park, and it was an incredible experience! We were picked up and dropped back off to our hotel, which made it even better. Our guide, Lindsay, was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, she really made the whole trip engaging and fun. We also had Mike as our airboat driver, and he was awesome! We saw several gators up close, which was so cool!

This adventure was a birthday gift for my boyfriend, and Lindsay went above and beyond by surprising him with an Everglades gator shirt from the visitor center gift shop. It was such a thoughtful touch, and it made the experience even more special. We learned so much about the wildlife in the Everglades, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable adventure in nature.

The tour is operated by Wild Lime Adventures. It lasts a bit more than half a day (5-6 hours) with hotel pick up and drop off. Our guide/driver/naturalist, Lyndsey, did a very nice job of narration, in particular explaining the water management of the Everglades NP. An efficient approach for a first visit to the Everglades.

Yes, water flow and what Everglades Restoration is all about is an important component of what we address on the tour. Glad you liked it. Thanks for coming!

Wild Lime is a family business- really nice people who care about the Everglades and its wildlife. They helped us organize a terrific naturalist walk and airboat tour. Their location is an hour and a half from Naples and less than an hour from Miami- a great place to meet our friends from the opposite coast We drove from Naples, and Wild Lime brought our Miami friends in a luxury motor coach. We met our guide Tammy at Miccosukee General Store. She came well equipped with plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, and bug repellent [we didn’t need it in February.]. The tour started with an hour plus walk in Shark Valley National Park. Tammy, a former school teacher, was super knowledgeable about all the wildlife, birds, alligators, and plants we saw. After the walk we made a short hop to Tiger Tail Airboat tours where Humberto took us on an amazing ride to the family’s reptile rescue facility on a tree island. They keep invasive species there so they aren’t reintroduced back into the Everglades, and they treat and release injured reptiles. Humberto treated each of the baby alligators, caymans, and turtles like his babies: everyone of them has a name and we learned a ton about Everglades wildlife. The airboat ride, our first, was exciting, but very safe- Humberto’s a careful pilot. They also provide ear protection they sanitize between each tour. It was a great experience and one we’ll take future visitors on.
