Small-Group Chicago Food Tour: Gold Coast and Old Town
From US$60.00
Experience the flavors of Chicago at seven Gold Coast and Old Town shops and restaurants while learning about each neighborhood’s history along the way. This 3-hour walking tour will stop at a classic Chicago-style pizzeria, a European bakery, a candy shop and specialty tea shop and more. Each guided outing is restricted to just 18 guests for an intimate small-group tour.
What to Expect
Meet your local guide at Lou Malnati’s, a Chicago-style pizzeria, where you’ll sample a traditional deep-dish pizza. From there, your small group of 18 or fewer participants will walk through the historic Gold Coast and Old Town neighborhoods.

You’ll visit seven shops and eateries, with tasting locations including the oldest chocolate confectioner in Chicago, The Fudge Pot, The Spice House spice merchant, the Middle Eastern restaurant Old Jerusalem and more. All tastings are included and together are generous enough equal a full lunch.

While strolling the tree-lined streets and sampling some of the Windy City's classic dishes, you’ll hear about Chicago history, culture and architecture. Your tour ends at the authentic French bakery La Fournette.

About 2 hours. We stayed and walked around Old Town afterward. There is a great homemade ice cream place down there. I think it is called Jenny’s. You will have a great time!
