The tour today was a lot of fun and delicious! Jake was knowledgeably about the architecture, history and of course the food in Chicago! We had a small group of folk and Jake made sure it was a very interactive tour and was careful to meet the dietary restrictions in the group as well. I would recommend the tour to others who want to come to Chicago and experience their tasty food offerings.

Had an Amazing Time with Molly!
Jul 2019 • Couples
Wow! This was a great find. We bought our tickets Goldstar because of all the wonderful reviews and this food tour didn't disappoint. Our trusted guide Molly told us all about Chicago's history, the restaurant scene and the amazing foods we ate. We were both full by the end of the tour. The deep dish pizza and the tacos from a Rick Bayless joint were our favorites. Molly was enthusiastic and really knew her stuff. The 3 hours flew by because we were having so much fun with Molly and the other couples on the tour. It was a good mix of out of towners like us and locals, which was a good sign. We highly recommend this tour. Ask for Molly. Thank you for a great afternoon on a blistering hot day :)

NOT FOR FOODIES
Jul 2019 • Family
If you want to go to some old time Chicago staples this is a good tour. If you want some trendier restaurants that will excit your palate then stay away. Alex, our guide was very nice and knowledgeable about the restaurants we visited like Lou Malnatis, XOCO, and Cafe Iberia but she was not knowledgeable about Chicago and shared very little as we walked about in River North. This might be a good tour for tourists who don't know much about Chicago and can believe what the guide says but not for Chicagoans.

An Awesome Tour
Jun 2019 • Family
This tour was perfect. Our tour guide Brittany was very knowledgeable about the River North area and a fun tour guide. The food was delicious and I'm definitely going to go back to the places we went to. I'd recommend this tour for all ages. I really enjoyed it and so glad my sister picked this outing for her birthday.

Fantastic way to see the city
Jun 2019 • Couples
We had a great time learning about the city we thought we already knew so well. Alex was warm and friendly and so knowledgeable. And the food was outstanding!! We especially enjoyed the tapas. The walk was an easy pace for all ages, and the behind the scenes stories of the chefs and restaurants added an extra personal touch. A must for your next Chicago trip!

Beyond terrific!
May 2019 • Couples
I give this one a 12 on a scale of 10! Alex, our tour guide, had such terrific background knowledge of the food and chefs and we never would have found some of these fabulous eating places without this tour. A definite must do when visiting Chicago!

Highlight of our visit to Chicago!
Nov 2018 • Couples
First and foremost, our guide Naomi was absolutely delightful. She offered background information on the restaurants we visited and interesting tidbits regarding the city's architecture, plus, having grown up in the area she was knowledgeable about the history of Chicago in general. We lucked out and were the only ones scheduled that day, so my husband, who has social anxiety disorder, was able to enjoy more so than if there had been a large group. The food was quite enjoyable, especially the amazing tacos at Xoco, and we were happy with the portion sizes. Going on food tours is becoming one of our favorite things to do when traveling, and the River North walking tour was great. We enjoyed our time with Naomi so much that we had our picture taken with her to put in our "vacation" photo album. If I could give this more than 5 stars I certainly would, though a lot of our satisfaction had to do with our guide =)

Great tour despite the weather!
Nov 2018 • Family
We went on the River North tour on a cold, wet snowy day but would still recommend it despite the weather. The food was excellent, portions generous and there was something that appealed to everyone in our group. Brittany was an excellent tour guide and we learned a great deal about Chicago's history! I would definitely do the tour again - perhaps in a little warmer weather.
