Fantastic Customer Service & an unforgettable experience!
A fabulous time, visiting the main filming locations for Death in Paradise alongside the Botanical Gardens. Olivier, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the island, the filming locations and the show in general. He organised the tour perfectly, to ensure that we were in the right place at the right time and was always on hand to advise us throughout. We had the most wonderful day (& the best table at Catherine’s Bar) and would highly recommend this company to anyone visiting the island. Fabulous customer service & everything we could have hoped for!

The BEST DiP Tour and Tour Guide!
I was going on a cruise because one of the stops was Guadeloupe. All of the DiP tours were sold out for the day I was going to be there. I Googled and found this tour with Karukera Experiences. I can't rave enough about how professional, kind, and knowledgeable the company and the tour guide were. Our tour guide even brought pics of scenes from the show to help make the connections easier. We had some elderly folks in the group, and he was very helpful and patient. He also had bottles of water (which the other Caribbean tours I had been on did not provide), as well as umbrellas when it started to rain. His lectures about Guadeloupe and the show were very informative, and he answered all of our questions. Bravo!! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour, tour company, and tour guide.

      Outstanding and informative
Probably the best tour we have ever been on. Olivier met us at the cruise port and for the whole 6 hour trip he kept us informed and amused. He has been an extra in the program and knew every possible fact about it. We visited numerous places where scenes had been shot and he constantly showed photos to show the scenes in the places that we saw. The beach was lovely where the inspector's cabin was and also standing on the harbour jetty was an experience. Honore police station was a highlight but the trip finished with dinner at Katherine's bar which was incredible. Olivier was amazing throughout and I cannot recommend this trip high enough. If you visit this Island you must do this trip.

      A Death in Paradise extravaganza
The tour was really well organised from start to finish. Olivier communicated with us beforehand about meeting place etc. Olivier was really knowledgeable about the island and of course, everything to do with Death in Paradise. We visited all of the filming locations and had a wonderful lunch at Catherine's Bar, on the veranda. Olivier delivered us back to our cruise ship in plenty of time. If you are a fan of the series (even if not) the tour was fabulous and the village of Deshaies was incredibly pretty.

A Not to be Missed Experience
We were immediately very impressed with Olivier's customer service and attention to detail in his correspondence with us prior to the tour. The Death in Paradise tour itself did not disappoint and was complete value for money. Olivier is a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable about the history of Guadeloupe and we loved hearing his behind the scenes stories of the locations and actors. His vehicle was air conditioned, comfortable and spotlessly clean and he provided a running commentary as we travelled from one interesting place to another. We particularly loved the fact that this was a small group tour, a maximum of 8 passengers. The day included a visit to the beautiful Botanical Gardens where we were able to feed fish, birds and goats, spending time at the various filming locations and a delicious lunch in 'Catherine's Bar'. You can tell Olivier has a background in marketing in the way he spoke about his beloved island and we would definitely like to return to Guadeloupe in the future as it looks to be a fascinating island. Can't recommend Olivier and Karukera Experiences highly enough!

The tour was exactly as stated, but exceeded our expectations. I never expected to learn so much about crabs! The larger distillery was not in operation on the day we went, but Olivier, our guide was so knowledgeable he was able to take us through the experience as well as we would have with the machines working. We went for an amazing delicious lunch, and then to a small distillery - the smallest on the island. It was very interesting to see the extremes. Finally we went to the Moule market, which is apparently mostly frequented by the locals. We tasted an Indian-based pita type curry bread, some local star fruit juice, some meat pies, and an amazing freshly made coconut ice cream. We also took the opportunity to buy many fruits and vegetables. All in all it was an amazing day, mostly because of Olivier and his knowledge of the area, his kindness towards us, and his professionalism. We enjoyed it so much we have booked their Death in Paradise tour for next week and have our fingers crossed that we have Olivier as our tour guide again! Highly recommend this tour.
