- איתמר ש0 contributionsLaguna amerillaOne day hiking to the yellow lagoon "laguna amerilla". The yellow lagoon is a beautiful lagoon that created 600 years ago as a result of explosion of "el altar" volcano. This volcano exploded and created a beautiful lagoon surrounded with 9 mountains peaks in a shape of a horseshoe.Written 31 August 2024

- stalynd20240 contributionsSúper chévereThis trip was amazing. You can see animals, waterfalls and new cultures. Misahualli is located in Napo-Ecudor. Napo is in the east of Ecuador, but be careful because you can’t swim in the river because the current is very strong. Eat in the pier! The food in this place is very delicious.Written 2 April 2024
- DiTraveler1230 contributionsScam - Do not book hereWe arrived at ExplorJungle after booking canyoneering online. They had no record of our reservatin and refused to refund over $160 worth of services. The location is attached to a laundromat with a woman who does not speak english. It seems like they haven't operated a tour for over months according to their book. It's a complete scam. Please please do not book here. I highly recommend GeoTours a few blocks away by the park.Written 29 December 2023
- Yaneli P0 contributionsExperiences at pailon del diabloThe Pailón del Diablo place is truly impressive and magical. The majesty of the waterfall, the force of the water falling from the top of the jungle, and the feeling of being surrounded by the lush vegetation of the region make this a corner of nature that leaves you breathless. It is a reminder of the indomitable beauty of our planet and a place that connects you deeply to the Earth. If you have the opportunity to visit Pailón del Diablo, you are sure to experience a natural wonder that will last in your memory forever.Written 23 October 2023
- T9040WCpatrickd0 contributionsJungle experience of a lifetime!I went to the Tambopata Research Center with Guide Boris Guerra for three days. The stay at the lodge was amazing, but the real adventure happened on the tours with Boris. He did a fantastic job of noting the plant and animal species around us, as well as explaining their part in the complex ecosystem that is the Peruvian Rainforest. He had a special gift for identifying birds, both native to the area and the migratory ones. One of the highlights of the trip was the early morning excursion to the clay lick for the macaws. We rode down the river just as dawn was painting the sky purple and pink and orange. then we got to the place across the river where the birds congregate, and watched as they gathered. Some keeping an eye out for predators in the trees above, while others went to the clay to get the minerals they needed. The whole experience was stunning! Going to experience the rainforest is worth the effort, but what makes it great is having the right person to show you what is there to see!Written 5 May 2023
- R2675SRanapaulad0 contributionsThe best waterfallThe Pailon of Diablo is a waterfall that is near baños. It is in Ambato and you can go with your family or your friends. First you need to take care because it can be very dangerous to go down there, since the path can be slippery especially when it’s raining. Also, you must bring other clothes to change because you can get wet. Above all, this waterfall is very beautiful to seeWritten 29 March 2023
- RachaelJanae0 contributionsVery interactive and entertaining! This was so fun for my kids ages 8-16. We have been to some world-class zoos, but never have we been able to interact and feed all the animals like we did here. We were laughing hysterically at the way the emus, guinea pigs, goats, llamas, and horses were responding to us. We did miss the show, and the slide was closed, but even with that, it was still fun. We spent about 2 hours here, but we were going really slow. Entrance was $6 for adults and $3 for kids. We took the blue bus up and back for $1 each way.Written 5 February 2023
- David O0 contributionsOpinionThis place it's amazing, It has a incredible views and the vegetation it's beautiful. A lot of tourists from all over the world visits this place. In this place you can do many activities to have fun like canopy, or puenting and another things. I think that Baños Is one of the most beautil places on Ecuador. - cmg93110 contributionsBest tour agency in BañosI am so glad I chose this tour agency. There are SO MANY agencies in Baños but this is the best. First, the prices are lower than other agencies. My sister and I did a three day package and everything went perfectly. The owner is so friendly, fast to answer our questions and very flexible with the schedule. I 100% recommend you go to this tour agency!!!Written 27 January 2020
- Jlg89950 contributionsIncredible experience with an incredible companyI cannot recommend this company enough. The owner was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that we had a good time. My sister and I booked a three-day experience with bungee jumping, canyoning, zip lining, rafting, a tour of the amazon, and the swing at the end of the world and we loved all of it. On our third day, we decided that we didn’t want to go on the waterfall tour and wanted to just do the rest of the day’s planned activities which included bungee jumping and the swing at the end of the world. We asked the owner if it was possible and not only did he say it was fine, but he took us on those excursions himself. He never rushed us or looked impatient. He was very helpful and willing to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves and got the most of every experience we had. All the guides we had for rafting, canyoning, bungee jumping, and zip lining were all very kind and helpful as well. Highly recommend this company for any and all excursions you plan for your visit to Baños!Written 26 January 2020
- Jay S0 contributionsWow! What an adventure! The waterfalls are powerful and impressive. It's a short side trip (about an hour total) from the ruta cascada. Don't miss it if you are anywhere near the falls. Even if you're biking in the rain it's worth experiencing the power of the falls. This review is only for the original entrance to the falls, not the "new" and less-thrilling entrance. By the way, we only paid $2/person and not $5 (September 2019). Maybe the new entrance is $5. If you're riding from Banos, the new entrance is first and the original entrance is about 1/4 mile farther. It's a walk of about 1/2 mile and about 360 feet of elevation change to get to the falls from the top in Rio Verde. (By the way, don't miss out on the fresh empanadas while in Rio Verde). You arrive at a restaurant at the end of the path, then you pay the entrance fee and continue up the stairs to the tunnel behind the falls. I think the water was a little high when we went and the trip through the tunnel to behind the falls was running like a small river. We got VERY wet!!! But them we were wet anyway from biking the ruta cascada in the rain. I mean I was underwater at one point... The stairs are steep and rocky and the tunnel is so low you have to crawl through most of it. It is an adventure. But you don't have to go through the tunnel if you are intimidated by the water -- you get great views of the falls from the stairway. I'm not sure we would have done the tunnel without our superb guide (from Biking Dutchman) who we trusted with our lives.Written 14 September 2019
