- Quest042774353560 contributionsUnforgettable Bucket List Experience!!!Seeing Mr. Las Vegas in Vegas is something I've always wanted to check off my bucket list and I was fortunate to do so last Saturday night. The amazing energy and charm is still there and Wayne gives absolutely 110% for every song he sang. Like every great Entertainer he feeds off the energy of the crowd and can't help but reach for those big notes. The stories and pics and intimate setting made it probably the most memorable performance I've ever seen in Vegas much less any concert. I've seen Tony Bennett 6 times,Frank Jr, Bruno Mars,George Strait, KISS, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Sam Smith, Buble etc and they were all great in their own way but the experience with Wayne was extra special. As a singer of the great American Songbook who also sings for a living I felt inspired and honored to be in such close proximity to a living legend of Mr. Newton's stature. Because there are only three men who really shaped Las Vegas and are the only three that would be on a Mount Rushmore of Vegas and that's Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Mr. Las Vegas himself. I promise you, you haven't lived til you've been in Vegas hearing Mr. Las Vegas sing Viva Las Vegas live! An unforgettable experience with the last Vegas legend left. I went in unsure and left looking forward to buying tickets and seeing the show again! Wayne’s show spans his life - from childhood to 2023 - by telling his story via song, videos, antidotes, comedy and of course his own personal charm. The venue is smaller so that you really feel like you are in his living room. He shows all sorts of pictures from his many years in show business. We have seen Wayne over the years starting in 1976 and this now is the best of shows as Wayne interacts with the audience and like Wayne says it is like being in Wayne's living room visiting him. He sings his hits, tells stories about his illustrious career, shows videos of some of the other stars he has performed with like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Glen Campbell and so on. He talks about how Bobby Darin, Jackie Gleason and Jack Benny influenced his career. It is so interesting to hear about this ICON of Vegas from his own viewpoint! Let's hope Wayne has many years left to tell his story! If you are in Las Vegas, do not miss this 'once in a lifetime' show! You will surely be entertained. Hands down one of the best shows I have seen!! At 81 he’s still got it! We loved hearing all the stories he shared about his life-career, friends, his wife. He seems so humble and so appreciative of the life he has been able to have. I had no idea how many instruments he can play and doesn’t know how to read music! All learned by ear. I'm so happy & grateful, to have had the opportunity, to have attended a concert & meet & greet with the one & only Mr. Las Vegas himself, Mr. Wayne Newton!
This is something I've always wanted to do, considering my mom also met Wayne back in 1962!
My mom told me quite a few years ago, that, when Wayne was playing a concert back in 1962, my dad took mom to see him,(mom was pregnant with me at the time). When Wayne found out that it was mom's 21st birthday, he came down from the stage & kissed her on the cheek!
The venue, Bugsey's Cabaret, @Flamingo Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, is a very cozy, intimate setting, where you are definitely "up close" to the man himself! If you are wanting to see the man, the iconic Mr. Wayne Newton himself, you will not be disappointed! I've had this on my bucket list for quite awhile, so i went for the gusto, & purchased a VIP ticket for SEC 2, TABLE 1, SEAT#4, (includes concert & meet & greet after the show), well worth the price. My seat was awesome, right up close to center stage! The only partial obstruction of view, was a person sitting at our table, in seat #2 directly in front of me, other than that the view was great!
Wayne's show was not your typical concert, but, a very interesting, unique, & a very "intimate" look into his life, his professional performance/musician/music career, starting from the young age of 15. Wayne treats his audience at his concerts, to his wonderful musicianship, his classic songs, very interesting archival info about his life.....I learned so much about him that I didn't know! He speaks so fondly of all his mentors, who helped him along the way, & encouraged him in his show business career, & his life.
This was a fabulous, once in a lifetime experience for me! The meet & greet was such a unique, special experience, considering my mom's experience with meeting Wayne back in 1962. At the meet & greet, I told him the story about mom meeting him, & how special it was for me to meet him as well, & it brought a smile to him!
If you are thinking about going to his concert, you will be treated so special, & have a fun, wonderful evening to remember!

Came in with low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised. Found myself grinning from ear to ear throughout. The show is thoughtfully put together with Wayne Newton weaving together personal stories, songs, Q&A, instrument playing, and video clips of his 60+ year career. I felt he put his whole heart and effort into the performance to make sure he genuinely connected with everyone in the room. I left feeling in awe of his warmth, energy, humility, hard work ethic and his incredible life journey. It was such a fun evening, and felt grateful to have gotten a chance to see him live. Highly recommend, and with this intimate venue, there are no bad seats.

Absolutely fabulous! Wayne’s genuine warmth and connection to the small audience was infectious! I had a smile from ear to ear the entire time!
His stories were so great (I came home to look at old video clips) his singing was delightful and he’s “still got it” in regard to his talent for playing musical instruments!
He answered questions from the audience and honored our military and first responders…for which he is still involved.
The couple next to me got married the day of the show and he honored their love and sang to them.
I came out of the show feeling like a better person after spending time with Wayne Newton! It was truly up close and personal!

The show was a wonderful mix of live singing, anecdotes, and film clips that surveyed Newton’s career, brought back memories for me and my mom, and educated my kids about the Rat Pack, Elvis, and other legends who were good friends of Newton. It was also an impressive demonstration of his stamina, talent, and love of show business. He is amazing for 81 and a real piece of American musical history!

Absolutely fantastic show. Wayne Newton has led a fascinating life which he chronicles with films and personal history. He sings numerous songs and plays 3 of the 13 musical instruments which he learned to play by ear. A 90 minute show definitely worth it. I had seen him last year and enjoyed it so much I returned with my family. Unlike many veteran performers in Las Vegas who sleepwalk through their performances Wayne Newton obviously lives just to please his audience.

The show was surprisingly wonderful. It was not a typical Vegas show - lots of history, interesting stories and Wayne did not miss a beat. He's energetic, charismatic and handsome. Our expectations were low, but way exceeded and we LOVED it. The way he tells his story and sneaks in a song is magical. So glad we did the "meet and greet" after the show - he was so warm, welcoming and sincere. We would highly recommend. Great for all ages!!!!

We were tired, but my husband told me how much he enjoyed seeing Wayne Newton perform in a casino and Mississippi many years ago. Mr. Newton plays 13 instruments and continues to perform and delight others. I could see that he really wanted to go so I quickly booked ticket and caught an Uber over to the flamingo, which wasn’t far from the Venetian. Everything went very well. In fact, they moved us up to the VIP seats because there were two seats in front. Mr. Newton was charming, personable, told many stories about his past and really brought us to tears. He is still singing playing violin and still guitar and several other instruments. He is amazing. He is 82 years old and still loving to perform, and it’s very obvious that he connects with the audience and way that I didn’t expect. I remember seeing him on TV as a child with Jack Benny and Jackie Gleeson, and he brought back all these memories which brought me back to how I felt about watching him with my grandmother when I was a child. I can’t recommend the show enough it is to the human spirit.

I went to see Wayne Newton because he is Mr. Las Vegas an American Icon. However, by the time the show was over it was like he was part of my family. His stories are amazing he has sung with all the greats starting as a child entertainer and his film clips and his live performance are like taking a private tour with American pioneers of entertainment. One of the things that really touched me was his support and respect for our service men and women a veterans like me. If you are in Las Vegas you have to see Wayne.

Wayne is a legend. It was truly a great trip down memory lane with Wayne. His voice may not be what it was, and it's not the normal "big glitz/ action" Vegas show. But if you are a fan, or just want to learn about his life. This is the show for you. I highly recommend paying for the meet and greet with him after the show. He is truly a wonderful, kind, human being, that shares his life with you in an intimate setting.

I've always wanted to see Wayne Newton live and this performance did not disappoint. Sure, he's getting up there in years, but he's still got it! The performing, the timing, the jokes! Plus, with "Up Close and Personal" there was amazing archival footage interspersed between sets that's just magical to see. What an absolute gem of a show!
