About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Ludwig S0 contributionsVery nice Safari with helpful guide and team!Very nice safari with a helpful team and good guide! The Safari and flights went smooth and easy and we got to see a lot of very cool animals The two things that could be better is AC in the car during the long drive, as well AC in the accomodation. However then the trip might need to be more expensive.Written 20 November 2024
- Buforty J0 contributionsSafariGood Taxi and good guide. Nice accommodation. Food was good. Many animals at the Safari in Mikumi-Nationalpark National Parc.Written 6 October 2024
- fairsafari0 contributionsLast minute safari in TanzaniaEnd of July 2024 we went on a last minute safari with Silver Sky Travel. A 7 day safari to Ruaha National Park. The trip was perfectly arranged from start to finish. We were picked up at our hotel in Stone Town and taken to the airport for a flight to Dar es Salaam. There we transferred to a small plane that flew us to the Msembe airstrip of Ruaha. Due to the clear weather we were able to enjoy beautiful views along the way. An open safari car was ready for us and we started with our first game drive. For 5 days we drove through the beautiful Ruaha under the guidance of a very good guide and driver. Their knowledge of the park was very extensive and because we slept the first 4 nights in Mdonya Old River Camp (beautiful tented camp in the middle of the bush where the wild animals walk around your tent, also during the day) we were often alone and rarely met other people. The park itself cannot be compared to the popular parks in the north of Tanzania. It is very large, beautiful trees, views, plains, water but also a lot of forest. This makes it a bit more difficult to see animals. But driving through this park gives you the ultimate safari feeling. The last 2 nights we slept in Ruaha River Lodge. Here we had a very large room with a balcony and a view of the Ruaha river. Animals came to drink all day long. The elephants play in the water right in front of you. Because of this stunning view we didn't go on a game drive the last day and we enjoyed the view and the delicious food. When we got back to Zanzibar we got an app from Silver Sky Travel to ask if everything had been to our liking. I could only say. Great. The entire trip was taken care of down to the last detail. We will definitely book here again. Greetings from two very satisfied customers, Chris and Marit from the Netherlands.Written 10 September 2024
- PookyBath0 contributionsWonderful trip to Tanzania!Fantastic trip and great customer service from Paul prior to the trip. Saw numerous animals on safari- lions, cheetahs, crocs, impala, elephants, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, hippos and our guide Francis was thoughtful and kind and made sure we had the best time! Cool and refreshing waterfall hike and informative visit to a Masai village. Safari lodge was basic but clean and tasty food- campfire every night was a special touch. Icing on the cake was a lion who crossed in front of our van as we drove away from the park back to the airport! Highly recommend.Written 21 August 2024
- Gerhard670 contributionsFantastic Safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire (from/to hotel in Nungwi)Before going on Safari, we spent a few days on Zanzibar. Then we went on safari with Silver Sky - everything from the pick-up at the hotel at Nungwi beach to the return 3 days later just worked perfekt. We had planned everything in detail with Lordland from Silver Sky Travel some months ahead of our trip (the Safari was customized to our desires). All our expectations were met or exceeded, overall it was just an amazing experience. Thanks to Simon, our driver, we were able to see cheetahs hunting (what an experience), we saw all predators and so many animals of different kind (herds of buffalos, zebras, elefants you name it) - we were just impressed. Simon was also a super-friendly, cautious, attentive and experienced driver who told us a lot about what we were seeing (and he knew where he could cross the creek ;-)). The vehicle was in good shape and well maintained. We spent our nights in tented camps (which we enjoyed), safe, good food, very friendly staff typically welcomed us with the "Jambo, jambo bwana ..."-song (something we needed to get used to ;-)). I could go on and on and on ... our Safari was just, fantastic, we will come back!Written 14 August 2024

- James_Jenefer0 contributionsGreat SafariThe "Best of Tanzania Safari" organized by Silver Sky Travel met all our objectives and provided a wonderful experience for three generations of travelers. We booked with Silver Sky because of the great job they did for us on a prior trip in 2022. They worked with us to build an itenerary exactly matching our requests and needs for a group of six people. When an airline delay caused a missed connection and a one day later arrival in Tanzania it only took one text message and they made all the adjustments. Silver Sky Travel will be our travel organizer when we return to Tanzania in 2024.Written 9 August 2023
- Arohi10 contributionsAn awesome family safari - the children loved it!!!A great experience for the whole family. The staff were wonderful and 2 days is probably just right for a young family. There was a lot of driving involved from Dar Es Salaam to the park and a flight may have been better. If my maths is correct, we saw 4 of the big 5, with many highlights including seeing Lionesses feed in the morning - we also saw a Zebra crossing the road (pun intended!!!). The hotel and food was also more than adequate - definitely a great family safari experience!Written 7 August 2023

- unnih8290 contributionsOne of the best safaris I have had in Tanzania.A very nice, skilled driver/ guide picked me up at the airport of Arusha and we drove all the way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and continued our journey to Lake Ndutu. It was a long day, but I was prepared and the experiences I had at the lake were worth the trip; giraffes fighting, thousands of flamingos and herds of wildebeest and zebras with newborn calves and foals. The Lake Ndutu Luxury Tented Camp was quite an experience in the middle of the wilderness. Friendly people and a very good standard. The next day we took another lap around the lake, where we also got to witness mating lions, before driving on to the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti was full of experiences. I got to see almost all the animals I had dreamed about. My driver was well-known in the park and cooperated with the other drivers, so we had many exciting encounters with wild animals. The highlight was perhaps the meeting with the three cheetah brothers, Two nights in the Serengeti were spent in Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp. A very pleasant camp with friendly staff who know how to make the guests happy. Good food and practical tents, and personal follow-up for everyone. It is especially nice when you are traveling alone. On the last day, there was only time for a short tour before we hurried back to Arusha, but we caught a hyena nursing her two cubs, fighting hippos and a cheetah before we started the 7-hour drive to Arusha.Written 5 March 2023
- HPG_HD0 contributionsExcellent service & communicationHad an amazing time, we got to see a variety of animals, our driver was great and the food too. If you are flying from Zanzibar and driving to the national park, you need a minimum of two days.Written 7 February 2023

- rsglickm0 contributionsSerengeti and Ngorogoro safari and cultural tourFantastic! Everyone was incredibly nice and prepared for contingencies! We were both so surprised at the number of animals and sightings. The last days tour was very educational about Tanzania’s challenges and how some communities work together to do their best to solve them. Very responsive regardless of when we needed to talk. Not least of all our guide was most accommodating and did everything in his power to make sure that we were very happy and he exceeded his goals. The Safari could not have been betterWritten 1 July 2022

There is so much to see on Zanzibar. Kendwa Rocks. The rock restaurant. Nungwi Beach. Dow Sunset cruise. Safari Blue excursions to sandbanks and islands with seafood barbeque. Feeding Turtles at the sanctuary. Spice tour. Stone Town with it's rich heritage and ancient buildings. Mnemba Island for the best snorkeling spots. The water is warm and the sand is white. The locals are friendly and the food is delish. Will highly recommend a trip to Zanzibar.
