Service-minded renter of bicycles and pleasant bicycle tour in Languedoc
Good communication and helpful bicycle renter. Both collection and return of bicycles were without problems. The bikes were good and we recommend the company if you want a problem-free cycling holiday.

      Wonderful cycle trip Narbonne!
Renting two bikes to cycle along the Canal de la Robine to Gruisson Plage from Narbonne could not have been easier! No problem navigating the Languedoc VTT Evasion website to book electric bikes in advance. And Hugo quickly confirmed our booking. When we arrived by train to Narbonne we walked approx 20 minutes to pick up the bikes. Hugo was very helpful. He made sure the bikes were the right fit, provided us with helmets, pannier and maps! We had a wonderful day cycling this most beautiful region! Thank you for all your help Hugo! I highly recommend Languedoc VTT Evasion.

Excellent link to explore the area by bike!
This bike rental service is located right next to the Canal de La Robine in Narbonne's historic center, from where getting on to the cycle path that runs parallel to the waterway, linking Port-la-Nouvelle to the south and the Canal du Midi to the north, is a matter of seconds. The bike met the highest standards of safety and comfort, delivered with its emergency kit and area map, which made for a care-free journey. I will, no doubt, continue to use this bike rental service on future trips to the area.

      Cycling along the canal
We rented regular bikes and they were in great condition. We were given very clear directions regarding possible routes. A great afternoon and a fabulous way to explore the local countryside. I’d highly recommend.

      The Best Service! Very Helpful!
Amazing service! We rented an E-bike and a traditional bike so we would be more. . . evenly matched on the ride. Ben did a great job explaining the route and the gear and made sure we were prepared with a lock, helmets, and a repair kit. They are located at the shipping container by the carousel on the northeast side of the bridge, right where the map shows. Ben speaks French, English, and a little bit of Spanish. He provided us with a map that attached to the handlebars. My recommendations: make your reservations online through their easy to use website. I recommend the 5€ bike bag as well. They open at 10am till lunch, and bike return is 4-6pm. We took the route north along the canal that Ben recommended and it was amazing. Mostly along bike paths with little traffic. We took five hours with breaks and stopping for lunch. Great wine country and canal boat watching to the north.

      Great day cycling
Took the Electric bikes down the Canal Robine to Guissan and back. Lovely easy ride in flat bike tracks, well signed and no cars. Lunch in the village then back, great fun. 35k made easy by the e-bikes

Amazing time on amazing bikes with great service
For anyone staying in Narbonne and surroundings, we absolutely recommend Hugo's bike rental in Narbonne. The bikes were in perfect conditions and he was extremely helpful. Discussed our routes together and gave us suggestions on which streets to take and which to avoid. He was available short notice (mid-March on a weekday that is not a given) and flexible on pick-up and drop-off arrangements. Absolute recommendation: The Narbonnaise surroundings on e-bikes - you have several highlights in one day and the area is great to cycle. Thumbs up for cycling in Languedoc!!

Great Selection and Hugo was so helpful!
Located right across the Les Halles Market, the bicycle rental station has everything from regular to electric assisted bikes which we took to ride up to visit Chateau Pech Redon at the top of the La Clape. Hugo loaded us up with bike bags, repair kits, locks and two maps that outlined the beautiful biking trails of Narbonne to Guissan. We spent the day riding to vineyards, vegetable/fruit stands and finished off in the beaches of Guissan. Perfect day!

So friendly and helpful, lovely day out
My husband and I hired 2 bikes from here to bike from Narbonne to Porte la Nouvelle. We did 50km in total but you can half that by getting the train back. The highlight was the beautiful island which when you biked to the top, gave you lovely views over the area. The whole route was along the canal, which started only a few 100m from the shop. You can do the whole route off road which is great for families and other than a few small hills in the island, flat all the way. We have pretty weak French skills but the owners were really friendly and helped us get by with what we needed. I have to say, we were pretty sore by the end of the day. Padded shorts needed ideally or just check you are happy with the seat comfort!

      Highly recommended cycle hire!
One day mountain bike hire is €17 which includes the helmet, lock, puncture repair kit, map & advice! Open 8am to 8pm. We cycled along the canal to Gruissan Plage (approx 20 miles return). The owner quite obviously loves cycling & runs this business from his home. He speaks a little English & is very helpful.

      A Superb Experience
Myself and a friend wanted to experience cycling in and around Narbonne over our two day visit there from Ireland this October. We saw this company recommended on Trip Advisor and checked it out when we arrived. First impression: Brigette was friendly, helpful, pleasant and wecoming and gave us advice about where to see, how long to get there etc. She organised our map, set out our routes, offered to fill up our water bottles and made sure our bike saddles were right height and our bags secured. She made the experience so enjoyable. The following day we met her husband Hugo who shook hands with us, chatted and waved us on our way. We would recommend these fab bike trips to anyone visiting Narbonne and the prices are such brilliant value for money, its the way to see the canal, the coast and the lovely little towns and villages around Narbonne. Brigette and Hugo made our stay in Narbonne memorable and I want to tell everyone: check them out and experience what we did ...ten out of ten for customer service, ten out of ten for a great biking experience, we will be back for sure! Also Rue Guiraut Riquier is very central, near the canal and easy to find on the Narbonne map we picked up at the Railway station...there's no excuse!

      Highly recommend - brilliant
I wanted to put together my own cycling holiday in Languedoc for myself and my 8 year old daughter and I found this cycle hire place on the internet. It was fantastic. I emailed Hugo and he got straight back to me with prices. Extremely reasonable - 93 euros for 4 days. This included 2 bikes, helmets, pump and puncture repair kit, spare inner tubes, elastic strapping for our luggage and maps. Hugo runs his business from his own house which is about 5 mins walk from the Market. He is very friendly and efficient and speaks good English. He was in no rush and made sure we were happy with the bikes and even got my daughter to practice on the road on hers. He is very professional and an expert at what he does. Moreover, he sat down with me at the table and discussed my cycling plans (Narbonne - Argeliers - Beziers - Gruissan - Narbonne). He gave me some invaluable advice about crossing the railway bridge north of Narbonne and avoiding hilly regions and sticking to the flat salt marshes. I adjusted my plans accordingly and as a result our cycling holiday was brilliant. He was honest with me that my plans were achievable but a little ambitious. He was right - I had not appreciated how slow going the canal paths can be in places due to all the tree roots. Despite this we got to our B&B's by 5pm the first two days and 6.30 on the last day. Overall the holiday was a massive success - gorgeous autumn scenery, 20 degrees everyday, wonderful places to stay, lovely people, and of course, all that fabulous French food! I needed the 70 miles cycling and the couple of missed meals due to places been closed to maintain my weight! Hugo and his bikes (which are of a very high quality and cope easily with the rough terrain) were an integral part of the success and pleasure of our trip and I really do highly recommend using his services.

      Narbonne to Gruissan by bike
Hugo and Briggite could not have been more helpful, friendly and informative - they spoke excellent English and provided two good quality ladies bikes for my daughter and her friend together with helmets, puncture repair kit, locks and a detailed map all for a reasonable price. Hugo even sorted out the wobbly handlebars on my own bike. Would definitely recommend hiring bikes from them again - thank you

      Wonderful
We borrowed 2 bikes from VTT Evasion for a trip to Port La Nouvelle along Canal du Robin. The bikes were great and we were given a repair kit, lock etc. Hugo gave us good instructions and off we went. The ride was easy, very picturesque but there were a lot of mosquitos so I recommend taking insect repellant. The train back to Narbonne goes every hour and it was easy to take the bikes on the train. I would definitely use VTT Evasion again.

Lagrasse is a pretty picturesque village marked by history. Its cobbled streets, its architecture and its religious and medieval buildings give it the charm and beauty to which we cannot remain indifferent.
