About
Discover the cradle of Blanche Armagnac AOC, the armagnac that does not age in barrels. Created in Arton in 1985 under the brand name Fine Blanche®, Patrick de Montal demonstrates that the excellence of Armagnac depends on the know-how of the wine and that distillation brings out all the aromas of the wine. The Montal-Montesquiou family defends an innovative vision: Armagnac is not a brandy, it is part of the wine culture. This led the family to plant their vineyard in 1991 to raise their wine and their Armagnac. Everything, from the vine to the wine, from the wine to the Armagnac, must be made on the estate and in a way that best embodies Arton's terroir and know-how.

      Tres Magnifque!!!!
Two weeks ago my family and I stayed at Chateau Naudou near Puymirol for the wedding of our daughter. During our stay we decided to take a day trip to Chateau Arton, and were treated to one of the absolute finest tours we have ever experienced. Lili greeted us and hosted a tasting of the incredible wines and spirits produced by her family. She oozes passion and knowledge about the chateau, the family, the grapes, the terroir, the wines and the special spirits. Her enthusiasm, her beauty and her charm won us all over and we all ended up purchasing several bottles of this liquid gold! Highly recommended! There is a reason this venue has an overall 4.9 rating! If you visit you will be treated to a wonderfully memorable experience!”

      This is a bit special
All producer of Armagnac take themselves seriously, and rightly so. Yet if you want to explore a little more, try the Fine Blanche at Château Arton in Haute Armagnac for something different. They charge for the tour but I’d be surprised if you will be disappointed. I was looked after well by my guide and sampled so genuine treasures. Thank you.

Interesting visit to domains d'arton, charming guide and host and a beautiful place
A wonderful place to visit. We enjoyed a fascinating and insightful guided tour that included tasting the superb wines and armagnac. The tasting was accompanied with delicious nibbles from local producers and was provided in the delightful private garden with views over the beautiful vineyard and rolling Gers hills. Just perfect.

      Beautiful domain, great wine-tasting experience
We had a lovely visit of the domain with Lili, who told us everything about the history, the owners’ journey, and the craft. The wine tasting paired with some food was a delight, under a tree with a beautiful view on the vines. The value for the “instant de paradis” service was incredible. As they produce very different sorts of wines (white, rose, red) and Armagnac, there’s something for every taste.

We had the most amazing time at Chateau Arton! Romaine was super informative and accommodating, even changing our booking last minute when we realised we had booked it wrong. The wine and spirits were absolutely divine, the food was delicious and the views were spectacular. A must visit if you are in the area!

A tour and proofing the way you hope it goes! A very nice story from the guide, without all the commercial information. The walk through the vineyards and a look in the cellar is of course included. Then we were surprised by the private tasting between the wine barrels. We were served 7 delicious wines and matching snacks. As an encore we were also allowed to taste the Armegnac. This is absolutely recommended!

Really enjoyable visit; thoroughly enjoyed the walk around the vineyard; hearing the history of the property from our friendly guide; learning about the distilling and environmental approach they are championing and the tasting of their wines and Armagnac.

The wines and Armagnac were amazing, the pairing of wines with local produce just perfect, Romain was an amazing host and the staff and owners were very welcoming. Please start selling the Armagnac glasses or tell us where we can buy them.

We were made aware of how difficult it can be to rebuild a brand. It was a lot of fun.
