We managed to see the whales on 5 seperate occasions including a breach and two mothers with their pups. The boat was super comfortable with comfortable chairs and plenty of rails to hold. The crew was very knowledgeable on the whales and I left learning a lot.

Loved this Augusta Whale Watching Trip
Hubby and I had a great trip off Augusta and saw plenty of humpbacks and even calves. The crew and skipper were attentive and informative and we enjoyed our 20% off lunch after our tour at the Augusta Hotel. Thanks for the photos, much better than mine!

      Wonderful...
We had a beaut morning on the 'Alison Marie'. The crew (Jade & Kane & Keith) were friendly and generous with their stories and information about various sea life. We were lucky enough to have 5 or 6 humpbacks swimming around our boat just a few minutes after leaving the marina. They hung with us for about an hour - diving, rolling and coming in really close. Weather was kind, sea was calm and the hot cuppas and biscuits went down a treat. A great morning out with lots of great memories. Many photos from the crew posted onto FB for us to access later, which meant we could relax and enjoy the interactions. Highly recommended. :) From another Alison Marie!

Whale of a time on a stellar boat with an amazing crew! A must do!
This company is top notch. From the friendly and informative booking process, to the friendly and service oriented crew, to the top of the line comfortable and clean boat. If you want to see whales this is the company to go with. We have been on a lot of boats and this one was pristine and you can tell the crew takes pride in what they do. They even have professional photographer to take pictures that you can download off their site for free This is unheard of. Go with naturaliste and know you will not be disappointed.

      Worth while trip
Worth going and was able to catch some whales. The tour guide was very informative. Went for the morning tour on 25 Jul 2024. Free biscuits and hot beverages were served which were a boon.

      Awesome experience! 😊
One of the best experiences! The trip was super chill, and the crew went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time possible. Once the tour finished and we were heading back to the coast, the captain spotted whales in the distance. Even though we were past the scheduled time, we headed there and ended up seeing the whales play around our boat—an unforgettable experience! 😍 I highly recommend this company.

      Stunning Experience
I have been wanting to take this cruise for many years now and finally did it. It was absolutely fantastic. The whales put on a magical show especially the rare Southern right whales, we even saw a baby having fun. The crew were amazing very knowledgeable and friendly and chatty. Loved the boat too. It was an absolute privilege to see these magnificent creatures in their own back yard. Thank you. This is a must do experience for anyone to enjoy. Highly recommend. Just Do It

      Whale Watching Tour
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed this whale watching cruise. The crew were very knowledgable about the whales and we managed to get some great sightings of the humpback whales including when they were breaching and playing near the end of the tour! We would recommend this tour to anyone (including families!) who wants to get up close viewings with the whales as we were amazed!

Unforgettable Whale Watching with Naturaliste Charters
Our whale-watching experience with Naturaliste Charters was absolutely phenomenal. From start to finish, the trip exceeded all expectations. The crew was exceptional—both knowledgeable and passionate about marine life. Their insights and enthusiasm added so much depth to the experience. We spent nearly three hours on the ocean, during which we were treated to breathtaking views and the thrill of seeing these majestic whales up close. The crew’s expertise shone through as they shared fascinating facts and answered all our questions with patience and detail. Naturaliste Charters provided a well-organised, safe, and enjoyable experience. Whether you're a whale-watching novice or a seasoned enthusiast, this charter is an absolute must. Highly recommend for an informative and exhilarating adventure on the water!

What a fantastic day! My husband and I saw humpback whales and a southern right whale. The boat was easy to move around on and all the staff were very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to friends and would go again.

      Amazing tour, beautiful boat.
We joined Naturaliste Charters for the 10am whale watching tour from Augusta on 16 July 2024. We weren't on the boat 10 minutes before we were practically surrounded by Humpbacks! We spent the entire tour (nearly 3 hours) accompanied by whales, including one Southern Right whale. The crew were friendly and professional. The boat is extremely steady and complimentary tea, water and biscuits are available. Photos taken by the crew are posted to their FB page afterwards. We highly recommend this experience.

Excellent 2 hour experience. Professional friendly staff onboard clean and well equipped boat. We were lucky and saw whales and dolphins within the first 5 minutes. Great commentary and whale spotting the whole trip. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Loading from the beach near the Dunsborough Yacht Club onto a tender, we joined the crew including Brodie the marine biologist and headed out from an afternoon of whale watching and we weren't disappointed.

Our group consisted of families and couples young and old and as we headed out to the whale watching area off Cape Naturaliste, we were met by a blue whale and her calf. We spent some time with her, gently moving alongside her and she was not at all perturbed. Brodie gave us a run down of blue whales and we were excited to learn that there have been more blue whales in recent years.

We then headed on to a small group of lively humpbacks who gave us a lovely exhibition.

What struck me about this tour was the genuine enjoyment the crew had sharing this experience and how they ensured that everyone had an opportunity to see. We had an older lady on board who was really confined to the cabin due to mobility issues. The captain made sure that he orientated the boat side on to the action as that she would be able to see too. We didnt have many on but I am sure that this would be a very thoughtful move on a crowded boat when it would be difficult to move about.

I cant recommend this great group more highly. They are knowledgeable, thoughtful of guests and very obviously deeply committed to whale conservation.

The weather was perfect for our outing on Sunday. The crew were welcoming & friendly, with around 40 people looking forward to hopefully catching sight of the beautiful whales. There were many around but not breaching although we saw the magnificent creatures gliding along in the pristine waters. Dolphins came to play & swim alongside the boat.
The vessel was well set up, clean & had plenty of room for everyone, either inside or outside.
The crew & the Skipper were super patient, informative and very helpful, we even stayed out longer on the ocean.
I would definitely recommend this tour!!

We had a fantastic few hours out on the boat. We saw blue whales along with humpback whales breaching and slapping their tails.
Clean and organised boat with free tea/coffee/biscuits. Easy to board the boat from the shore.
    Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
    Great weather!
Would recommend this trip for anyone interested in seeing whales in their natural environment!
Thankyou, we’ll back in the future.

Disappointing. We saw one mother and one calf but as it didn’t fall into the “no whale policy” we weren't offered a free return trip. I wrote suggesting it would be good for their business if they offered half price return trips when so few whales were sighted as I doubt anyone on this trip would recommend going in November. They replied offering this, and said "They felt just as disappointed, it’s been an amazing season but yesterday was hard, the weather wasn’t great and the whale sightings were low." It would have been nice if they had offered it without having to be prompted. I don't recommend going in November.

Thank you for your review and suggestion. We are just as disappointed as you that the whales did not want to play on the day you visited the bay with us. We hope that you will be able to join us again next season. We really do appreciate your honest feedback.

I went on one of Naturaliste Charter's whale watching tours in Dunsborough and I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences of my life! As one who is (unfortunately) prone to seasickness, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the boat was not smooth and very stable. We saw tonnes of whales throughout the tour and the crew was nice enough to extend our time slot by a bit just because there were so many breaching humpbacks! It felt good to support a 100% locally owned and operated family business and the experience from the crew was 10/10. Brodee (the marine biologist on board) was just exceptional and had so much knowledge to share. There were also plenty of kids onboard, so I would definitely say that it is a kid-friendly activity. Please do yourself a favour and book yourself a tour the next time you're in the Southwest - you won't be disappointed!

Such a wonderful afternoon! Highly recommend this company - super knowledgeable (Brodee), lovely staff and a great boat.

It was a calm day (though still rough moments and a bit of sea sickness in our group!) so the whales were quiet but the Humpbacks we saw were great and we were able to spend some time watching Mum and Calf playing ❤️

Towards the end we heard there were Blue Whales nearby so headed back out and got to see them! Very very lucky indeed.

    Would recommend this 100%

Such a great tour. The staff were brilliant from start to finish. The skipper, Dundee, welcomed many of us into the cabin area out of the cold and answered our endless questions with so much enthusiasm. My 3 year old even had a little nap in his office! We didn’t see much to start with but the crew wouldn’t settle for that and they extended the tour time so we could enjoy these majestic beauties. In the end we had 3 or 4 whales who were loving our presence and clearly wanted to show off!

Incredible experience with Naturaliste Charters, great crew and spacious boat with small guest numbers so we had heaps of space and room to view. The whales sure put on a show for us with non stop breaches and lots of fun with mum and baby calves in the area. We have visited nearly all of the marine life tours throughout WA and this is by far the best value and bang for your buck. Thanks for some amazing memories!

We went out few weeks ago and didn’t get to sight anything over the 2 hour ride after spending close to $200. Now we get offered a ‘no-whale’ revisit. Be mindful of no refunds if you are not local to re-visit or if you happen to visit this side of the country rarely. Great staff who hosted us well on the day.

Thank you for joining us on a whale watching tour, I'm really sorry we couldn't show you any whales! Fortunately sighting no whales doesn't happen often but as they are wildlife it can happen every now and then. Our policy clearly states on the small chance you don't see whales you would be welcome to join us again for free. I'm really sorry, we do try our best! It's a shame your not close by so you can join us again, thank you for the kind comment about our crew,
