- PRMCMUNN0 contributionsA majestic place, superb wine - not to be missedAbsolutely beautiful setting and amazing friendly staff. Immaculate grounds & buildings that just WOWed us and were so welcoming that we stayed for hours. We did not have a tour booked but happened upon the cooperage which we found fascinating, so special to discover a craft that is so unique and rare in the world! The coopers were very welcoming and eager to share their passion and knowledge, we felt special & privileged to listen about their craft and the history of the winery. We enjoyed a wine tasting and mini-platter of amazing locally sourced produce, loved the Viognier. Thank you Yalumba for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful part of the world with us.Written 1 October 2024

- charlieccw0 contributionsBeautiful grounds and even better wine!Thank you Steph for such a great tasting flight! She was so funny and thorough, explaining all the wines making it a very fun and enjoyable experience. The grounds are beautiful with lots of photo options, especially with all the original buildings. - steviemd600 contributionsGreat to Visit one of the Grand Old Ladies of the Barossa! We loved our visit to Yalumba. The large, old and characterful cellar door was impressive and we enjoyed a set of excellent, full bodied reds that were really delicious! We also enjoyed a wander around the expansive set of heritage buildings and gardens. Finally, a big thank you to our host, Batesy, who was very friendly and helpful.Written 23 January 2024
- T9016EOjamesm0 contributionsA Perfect Choice as a Wine Hopper Stop in Barossa ValleyHistoric, upscale, amazing Barossa Valley tasting experience expertly curated by the attentive, informative and hospitable Yalumba staff. This was a perfect stop choice on our Wine Hopper visit to Barossa Valley. The option for a flight of White or Red Wines blended extraordinarily well with the palates of our group. The charcutier plate of cheeses, olives, crackers and thinly sliced prosciutto was a delightful complement to our wines. The Wine Hopper option is the best value for your day in Barossa Valley and Yolumba is a visually appealing and taste bud treat you will not want to miss.Written 23 January 2024
- paulbN2487VC0 contributionsGreat day out.We arrived with a welcome greeting and our table was ready for some wine tasting. Even though we didn’t like the reds as much as whites. All wines are great and the waitress was very informative on the wine we were drinking at the time. The small cheese platter was great as extra $30 and the gardens are beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves 100%Written 30 December 2023
- glennc7670 contributionsYalumba Flight tasting of premium winesExcellent flight tasting of red and white wines. The staff were both knowledgeable and engaging while the outdoor setting was most relaxing. Thoroughly recommend a visit as the wines are first rate and the staff very professional and caring.Written 30 December 2023
- 883eugenel0 contributionsStill a beautiful cellar door and grounds, and still excellent wines.Hasn't changed since our last visit just before smartphones came out. The grounds and cellar door are lovely. I spoiled myself to a tasting flight of The Calley shiraz 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018 vintages. Superb but definitely nicer with some age on it. We loved the viognier as well.Written 21 December 2023
- 205davidk0 contributionsFantasticWhat a fantastic and welcoming experience. Best value for money in the Barossa. We booked online which was so easy and were greeted at the restaurant by one of the owners. The grazing platter and wine flight for 2 was incredible,Written 4 December 2023
- jmalachicarroll0 contributionsGreat experience in a stunning settingWe enjoyed a Yalumba Unearthed experience which featured their premium wines and we added a share platter to it. Wines were lovely and the platter delicious. Afterwards we did a self guided tour around the beautifully maintained grounds and buildings. It would be a great place to have a picnic in the grounds.Written 20 November 2023
- 634janinea0 contributionsAwesomeBeautiful setting. We did the cooperage tour. Our amazing guide was very knowledgeable in the process as was the cooperage team. Even though we aren't wine connoisseurs we were made to feel special & hard to choose fave wine as all so good.Written 3 November 2023
- emmas1340 contributionsGreat tour, welcome and wineI had a lovely afternoon learning about the amazing property and wines with Amy. The family story is incredible and as a business owner it’s wonderful to see such buy in from the team and the area. We had a great and informative 90 minutes followed by an amazing tasting and cheese platter. I did this solo, there were some only 3 of us. It was worth the investment Highly recommend for those wanting something to remember and to learn about the BarossaWritten 25 August 2023

We thoroughly enjoyed our very informative tour today with Helen. The tour of the cooperage and the rest of Yalumba we would highly recommend and the tour ended back in the wine room with a tasting flight of 4 wines and a platter of delicious bread, crackers, cheeses, olives, ham etc. We finished by tasting the port and dessert wine. We also joined the Yalumba wine club and ordered wines to be shipped home to Queensland :) if you are in the Barossa dont miss this impressive family winery.

This tour was engrossing from start to finish being well structured and paced. Such interesting information and access to areas we don't normally see by only visiting the cellar door. Some lovely surprises. Well worth it and our guide Helen was knowledgeable, interesting and genuine. Our wine tasting and cheese board at the end was perfect. Well worth it.

What an amazing experience. My wife and I were so please with how friendly, knowledgeable and welcome the staff at Yalumba were during our time with them.
It takes a matter of minutes from going on this tour to appreciate the amazing history, pride and passion the staff and family of Yalumba have for this business. Such an icon of Angaston and the Barossa Valley.
We highly recommend to make time for this amazing tour and visit this special winery.

This is a “must do” experience whilst in the Barossa region. Amanda have is so warm and personable, she really made this afternoon for us! We had the unique experience of seeing how wine barrels are made, Yalumba is the only winery in the Southern Hemisphere to have an on-site, cooperage, (I was listening Amanda 😀). You will also be given the experience of going into one of the old wine tanks underground, now a tasting room. The gardens on the property are beautifully maintained. We enjoyed our wine tasting and generous (and delicious) food platter. Thank you Yalumba (and Amanda) for sharing your passion with us!

Such a great opportunity to get into the history of not just Yalumba but the Barossa and the State of SA. How fortunate we are to have our own cooperage in South Australia and one of few remaining family owned and managed wineries. Our gorgeous guide was full of facts and information. It was a great way to spend an afternoon,

Thank you Amy for your knowledge and enthusiasm about Yalumba Winery and it’s history. Going to the on-site cooperage and meeting Kym and Harper was an excellent experience. Seeing what goes into making wine barrels and talking to Kym was an education. The wine tasting and food platter after the tour just topped everything off. We would heartily recommend the experience.
