      The BEST!!
This was part of our 30th Anniversary Cruise and we had a blast. Our hostess was the best, her little boy was the cutest! We had the best lunch; Shrimp Ceviche / Beef tacos. We roamed the beach and found beautiful beach glass. There are bungalows on this property for rent as well. We basically had the entire beachfront to ourselves. Beautiful beach and fantastic views. We will be back!

      Nice n lovely
At first we had doubts since we read some bad reviews, but it ended up being the best day of our vacation. It is a very rustic place, a little old but this is the real Mexican Caribbean, we had the beach to ourselves and two other couples.

      Great beach vacation experience!
Came here on a port day from a cruise. Before we even left the boat we got a call from the tour host giving us details about where to meet. When we made it out of the port, he had a sign with my name written on it which was very helpful. Took a 30 min ride down to this beach. This place is not your typical “all inclusive beach club” experience, but honestly we couldn’t have been happier. The host was very kind and accommodating, bringing us drinks and food throughout. Local beers, basic cocktails, pico, guac, ceviche, and tacos. We were there with one other group so it was very peaceful. Beautiful water and coastline. They had kayaks and snorkeling gear we took out to explore some of the coral. And beach dogs!! At the end the cab was waiting for us to take us back to the port when we needed. The beach could use a little cleanup but was nothing that ruined the experience. Also be sure to bring some bug spray!

      Loved the peaceful atmosphere
It was a unique experience. Wonderful people. The guacamole was so fresh and authentic. The lobster had the best flavor and the drinks were perfect. My daughter enjoyed snorkeling and we were able to get some great photos. The only downside was the trash along the beach. That was especially disappointing.

      Best ceviche ever
We walked 2 blocks to the pick up point and a cab driver approached us to tell us that he would be the one to transport us. The drive was 30 minutes and it was through a remote area with a tiny, narrow road. We were a group of 4 people and felt uneasy at the beginning of the drive. However, once we arrived we were greeted by Alejandra and she was a total sweetheart. There was only 12 of us there that day and we loved it. The ceviche and tacos were delicious! Cold beer and drinks were great too! Beautiful experience.

      Private beach
was very disappointed that our tour got cancelled at the last minute. and we did not get a refund and we had to go to a public beach. would have preferred a private beach with less people bothering us. would be nice to have our refund back.

      Beach Cleanup Needed
I feel the beach needed some cleaning up which is why I only gave 4 stars. The attendant caring for us was very vigilant in making sure we had what we needed. He repeatedly offered us drinks and we were provided with delicious snacks and lunch. Providing comfortable lounge chairs would have also been appreciated.

Disappointing . no beach ,smelly , buggy seaweed- gross
Very disappointing beach experience.  It is described and marketed as “one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean” which couldn’t be further from the truth.  Would not recommend if you are wanting a beautiful beach. This place may have been good years ago but not any more! The place is run down , the beach that you could sit at was tiny fit maybe 7 people at the most . The other seating available were just a few tables all other guests are packed into a very small area. The beach is packed solid with feet of seaweed which is filled with trash and bugs.  See photos.  We understand that the seaweed is natural and hard to control but the owner/operator should either be honest about it in the description or clean up the section right in front of their area for a clear space.  The photos and some other reviewers also depict buffet style lunches being available with fresh fish and chef prepared meals.  This is not the case.  There was no menu provided and the only items offered were guacamole and tacos were also mentioned.  We had to ask several times for the guac and the drinks were okay at best. There were so many other groups there with limited staff we did not get any other food offered to us other than the guacamole.  The worst part about the whole experience is when we reached out to Viator to request a partial refund based on our bad experience, we just received a canned email response denying the request.  We followed up with photos and the issue of how the beach is described versus the reality and received another email right away marked as ‘final’ denying the request again.  We thought Viator would at least try and make this right but they didn’t stand up to what they are selling. We will NEVER USE VIATOR AGAIN after this experience and we wanted other travelers to be aware of the reality of this beach experience.

Great quiet getaway from the Cruise
This is just what seven friends needed. They met us outside the port and drove us about 25 minutes to a quiet beautiful beach. There were a few people when we got there but they were just leaving. That left us with a beach all to ourselves. The food (beef tacos, chips and guacamole, and shrimp ceviche) and drinks were great and their service was wonderful. We used the kayaks and snorkeled. I would definitely go back.

      Best Beach Day Ever!!
5 out 5 stars for this private beach! So, I read a lot of reviews on this one and it was very helpful. This secluded beach is off the beaten path, but totally legit! There was only my family and one other family on this beach the day we went. The sand was great and water fantastic. My daughter and I pulled up three conch shells right out of the water when snorkeling. The food was better than the cruise ship! Guacamole, shrimp ceviche, and tacos exceeded expectations. Drinks were great too! The staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and overall fantastic. This was one of our favorite excursions ever!!

      Private Beach = Private Paradise
We were welcomed to the beach by Geo’s dogs: Tiga and Carnello! They are super friendly and enjoy the belly rubs!! This beach is in a more remote area, but the water was so clear and you can take a kayak out and see the reefs before the water break. They have kayaks and full face snorkels you can use for free! The open bar was definitely a plus!! The food was delicious, we had the shrimp ceviche, guacamole, and beef tacos. Geo and Leo were very accommodating to our needs (or more like wants since we kept wanting more margaritas lol!) They do have wifi, just ask them for the password :) My family and I truly enjoyed this relaxing experience and would love to come again!! The only thing missing is having a masseuse, but given the location, I’m will to trade that amenity for the privacy.

Amazing time!!! I stopped in Mahahual during a cruise I took with many friends and my cousin. After snorkeling in the morning, my cousin and I wanted to find something to rent to drive around and explore the town as we had never been before and it looked beautiful. The beaches are what you'd expect in Cancun or Playa del Carmen but less industrialized, there is more culture, and more of a true Mexican small beach town vibe. The golf carts and ATVs were all sold out by the time we finished snorkeling so we were led here to rent electric bikes. We were told the worker's name was Rayito but that was just a nickname. I cannot remember his true name but I believe it may have been Jose. He was such a KIND soul. We didn't have enough USD or Pesos to rent the bike (so be sure to have cash!!!). But Rayito was kind enough to allow us to borrow the bikes and come back from the ATM. The bikes lasted us all day and were such an effective way to explore the town. They were easy to ride, had baskets for our stuff, and were fast (if you want that, you can easily control the speed). You could pedal if you wanted but we wanted to make ample use of our time and loved the electric option. The town is beautiful and it's so easy to get around. We were give coupons for free food and margaritas and Rayito gave us the lay of the land and ensured we would be safe. He was so trusting and felt trustworthy and the bikes really made the experience incredible!

The bike was good. Price was right. Fresh batteries that lasted all day. Helmet was provided, but I did not use it on the cruise to the neighboring town by the beach. It was a little too far to walk to, but the bike was perfect for it. You can cruise up and down the strip and make stops at your convenience. I am glad I rented it in advance and would recommend doing it. Just walk through the maze the cruise company created and find the exit to the cruise company owned portion. They were waiting for me there with the bike not far from security. It was much cheaper than the cruise excursions and a great way to get away from the company owned part of the stop. More fun also.

When you arrive at Costa Maya, there is a tourist marketplace waiting for you and your dollars. You can escape this easily on an electric bike, which you can collect just outside the port's gates - a person will meet you with bikes, there is no shop. We took his advice and rode toward the lighthouse and found a promenade accessible only to bikes, scooters, and pedestrians (not golf carts), flanked by sandy beach and palm trees on one side and shops and restaurants on the other. The shops sell goods similar to the ones in the port, for less, and locals offer massages on massage tables on the beach at considerably less than at the port. We propped our bikes up against a palm tree and enjoyed US$2 margaritas on the beach.

We pre-purchased our experience and when we showed up to pick up our bikes they informed us that due to previous rains the roads were too bad to drive on so they couldn't lend us the bikes. First off, it would have been nice for them to email or call to let me know the experience would be canceled. Secondly the gentleman shared they would offer a refund because we couldn't take the bikes and a month later we still haven't received a refund. I reached out two weeks after and was told they would give the refund, but still no refund. Just be warned that if it rains they will unlikely let you still borrow the bike, and good luck with that refund.

Riding electric bikes in Costa Maya was definitely a highlight of our cruise port day. My fiancé and I were able to see what the area has to offer at our leisure – no need to get a taxi or walk a few miles on a sunny day. Raul from Coral Go will meet you right outside the port entrance/exit and you are free to go wherever you please.

Close to the port and easily accessible. Both bikes we rented were fully charged and provided us with plenty of power to tool around the island and see everything we wanted to see. Very reasonable price and a fun way to explore Costa Maya.

The building was easy enough to find, however when we arrived the owner was not there, he had an emergency, and there was someone else filling in. That was understandable as life happens and if that was the only snag it would have been fine. The electric bikes we rented and paid for ahead of time were questionable at best. My husband's bike didn't have a full charge (although they did end up lasting for our short outing) but the brakes barely worked on mine and the front light was dangling by a thread. Bikes are a great way to explore Costa Maya and we had a great time exploring but I would caution using this rental again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with the electric bikes. Pedro was waiting for us outside the port gates. After a quick lesson, we were off! We rode through Mahahual and then explored further on along the coast. We returned to Mahahual for lunch and drinks, explored the shops and even had a wonderful massage for a fraction of the cost on a cruise ship. We would definitely recommend this excursion!

This was one of the worst tour experiences that I’ve ever done. On October 26th, 2021, I booked this tour expecting a fun day in Costa Maya but everything turned horribly wrong. First it was a very long 25 to 30 walk from the Cruise Pier that was expected since they wrongly advertised it was a very “short” walk from the pier. Secondly, when I rented the bike I was expecting a map since I had never done this before. And I was told by Arian that he didn’t have any maps and blamed it on the Manager not being available that day, Really!! Finally, because of that failure I wound up on a road that was riddled with unforeseen potholes causing a awful crash and fall leaving me bruised and quite scratched just a couple of streets from their location. Luckily, there were a couple of people who saw this and came to my rescue. They immediately took me back to CoralGo to hopefully get help from some kind of first aid kit, which believe it or not, they did not have. I had to wait till I returned to the ship to get help. When I returned home I wrote to CoraGo requesting some sort of refund after my horrible experience and they have yet to respond, not even an “I’m sorry”, Nothing! Unbelievable! I would NEVER recommend this experience to Anyone!

We are very sorry for your bad experience. However, your fall was not caused by a bicycle failure, or anything related to it. The electric bike requires concentration and driving responsibly We appreciate your opinion, we will work on giving a better service.

Raul took good care of us! Bikes were a fun way to explore the community. Would highly recommend this opportunity to anyone who wants to get out there and pedal a bit. The electronic motor made it even easier. There is a wide pedestrian road that was very bike friendly. We also found other roadways to be very safe and navigable.
