      10 stars
If there were 10 stars I would give them all. The boat, the guide, and the island are deserve a ten star rating. On the way to the island we had fun with a pod of dolphins.

This tour made my last day in Mexico my BEST day in Mexico!!
We were on a road trip in the Baja and had booked a 3 hour whale shark tour with Viator VIP tours before we left. Katya, Tour Manager, contacted us to let us know there were not enough people for the tour on our chosen day, offering another day or an option to upgrade to this longer tour. Communication and rescheduling was easy and we are SO GLAD we made the decision to change because it was totally worth it!! Reservation Manager, Ana Marcela, kept in contact to assure us the changes had gone through and we were booked and knew where to meet. There were only 4 others on our boat, with the able Fernando at the wheel and our personable, knowledgeable guide, Angel, in charge of the day's activities. I highly recommend a small group tour because it determines the time you will be swimming with the whale sharks. Fernando and Angel were clearly skilled at spotting the whale sharks, and Angel kept the whole process moving to maximize our time allotted in the national park, as well as in the water. We had three separate swims with the whale sharks, all mind blowing. Then a swim near the sea lions, followed by excellent snorkeling around a small island. Once we put down anchor at the beach, other guides joined in to help, and tables, chairs, umbrellas and a gourmet lunch miraculously appeared! As we pulled into harbor I was reflecting on my 2+ weeks in Mexico, thinking the only thing we had not seen on various boat trips was dolphins (this IS nature; there are no guarantees!). Suddenly, there were dolphins playing around us. It was Friday afternoon, the dock was within sight, and Fernando was probably ready for the day to be over. Instead, he immediately cut the engine and turned to slowly follow and let us enjoy the dolphins. A bonus end to a stellar day!!!

      Amazing experience!!!
"Wow, just wow! The Sunset & Salsa cruise was the highlight of our trip to Cabo. The combination of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and breathtaking views made for an unforgettable experience. Watching the sun set behind the iconic Arch while enjoying authentic Mexican tacos was a moment I'll never forget. Thank you to the crew for making this such a special evening!

Highlight of our trip to Loreto
Our captain for the trip was Eduardo, who was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He took us out to see marine life in the bay, including dolphins and sea lions. While going around the island, we saw sea lions up close, blue footed boobies and many other sea birds, as well as great views of the island. At the spectacular beach, Eduardo set up a great lunch. What I especially appreciated was that he gave us plenty of time to both take a walk on the isla which is full of remarkable plants, and to snorkel in the bay. A real highlight of our trip.

      Bacalar Lake
We had a wonderful day at Bacalar Lake. Our driver, Edgar, and tour guide, Alan, were amazing. Alan gave us lots of information as we traveled to the lake. The van was air conditioned which was much appreciated because it was hot that day. The resort we went to was beautiful. We had use of feee loungers before and after kayaking. The kayaking was beautiful and lots of fun. Alan guided our group so we knew exactly where to go in the water. Once we returned to the lake we were given a great lunch of tacos and unlimited drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic). The pina coladas and margaritas were very good. After lunch we could lounge, take kayaks back out, or use inner tubes to float around. We arrived back at port with plenty of time to spare and shop. It was a beautiful place and lots of fun!

      Taco tour!!!
My husband and I went on this taco tour yesterday, and absolutely loved it! Jared was amazing! Giving us a bit of history how tacos are traditionally made as well as the history behind margaritas and how they came to be. The tacos were absolutely phenomenal. We learn Our own salsa and the original way of how to make a margarita from there. We visited a fresh fruit market and then another two different Taquerias where we tried tacos El Pastore, and flank steak tacos. the night with a dessert taco that was made of cacao top with vanilla ice cream, brownie and strawberries, accompanied with a traditional Mexican coffee. Once our tour was done, we had about an hour of free time to roam the streets of Playa Del Carmen, which we got to visit local vendors and try different street foods if we wanted to and we could also check out the mall. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is a foodie. phenomenal experience! Thank you Jared for all of your hard work and making this trip and unforgettable one.

      Coronado Island
Our captain was Lalo. He arrived on time and we boarded Jade. We were the only two. Captain Lalo is very polite and professional. He stopped the boat to watch dolphins, then continued around the island and we saw sea lions, seagulls and pelicans. He had brought a delicious lunch for us ( ceviche, burritos etc). We ate lunch at lovely beach good for snorkeling. Highly recommend. Beautiful and relaxing.

      BOOK IT!!!
I honestly can't recommend this excursion enough. There were 6 of us in a group ranging from age 23 to 73. I was worried about my aunt being able to kayak with us but they had both single and tandem kayaks to choose from so she was just fine. You do have to leave the port to find the meeting point but they give very detailed directions to find them. The drive sounds long but we had an AMAZING tour guide, Elliott, who gave so much information about the area that it felt like just 10 minutes had passed. The tacos are awesome, the drinks were flowing, and the water was beyond beautiful. The kayaking itself was very calm and relaxed. If you're on the fence of booking, take my word for it and do it! It was a once in a lifetime experience. Sure you can stay at the cruise port but this is way more special and memorable.

Great service and wonderful views of wildlife!
First off, the company was very responsive and easy to communicate with. There were just the 4 of us, and we had Eduardo as our captain. He was fabulous, helpful and found the wildlife we were looking for. We saw Blue Whales, then were surrounded by at least a 100 Bottlenose Dolphins swimming and jumping all around us, and then to get up close and personal with sea lions and seals. Finally he took us to the beach on Coronado Island where he set up a wonderful lunch, under shade. Overall it was a great 4 and a half hours with Eduardo, and we saw some of the best wildlife in the Sea of Cortez. I have gone out with numerous tour boats and scuba boats around the world, and this was as good as the best of them.

      Good Tour
Good Tour. Takes about 50 min to get from the port to the site of the ruins. Nice tour van and knowledgeable guide. We had to navigate thru the port shops to eventually get to the place behind the shops where were put on a van to go to a central location to be divided into tour groups.

Very enjoyable excursion with a very knowledgeable and engaging guide.
Our group of 6 arrived at the meeting location and got signed in. We departed on time in a comfortable and new van that seated about 15. Our guide (Lorenzo) spoke excellent English. The ruins are an hour ride from Costa Maya so we walked the site for about two hours with Lorenzo leading the way. The Chocchoben ruins are a mix of excavated and unexcavated structures. It is interesting to see the unexcavated areas to know what these places looked like when they were rediscovered. We were back at the pickup point on time.

Booked an excursion with Celebrity Cruise Lines for the Chacchoben Ruins and Blue Lagoon. The ruins were interesting as our guide Eli was of Mayan decent and had good knowledge. The Lagoon seemed like a way to push the tourist off to the side so the tour operator could make easy money.
The drinks at blue lagoon were below cheap in quality and the food was absent. What was there was cold and unpleasant.
Do yourself a favor and just stick with the ruins and come back to the boat.

Excellent excursion for our family during our cruise (May 2023 Allure of the Seas). We were nervous booking a non-Royal Caribbean excursion and if it would be safe/timely etc. We did a bunch of research on Trip Advisor and Google and took a chance booking ahead of time.

There was no reason to be nervous bc the tour company does this for a living ;) Communication was great, we were able to email them ahead of time and confirm port time, etc. We were immediately comfortable as soon as we met the team.

The tour was perfect for our fam of 5 (2 adults, 2 teens and a 8 year old). The drive to the Mayan ruins was comfortable and the guide was engaging and informative. We could tell how much he loved his homeland and the history of the area when he was sharing all kinds of info with us. The tour at the ruins was very thorough and he kept the kids engaged. Lunch was delicious and the swim in the lagoon was fun and refreshing. Keep in mind this is a lot of walking, climbing, and swimming so it's moderately strenuous. Bring sunscreen and changes of clothes. We brought water bottles but they gave us plenty of cold water. We were able to buy additional snacks (fresh pineapple and mango) on the excursion.

Overall, don't hesitate to book this if you're visiting Costa Maya on your cruise. The pricing and what is included is cheaper than what you'll pay with the cruise lines and they'll take good care of you.

We strive to engage and inform our guests, and it's wonderful to know that he succeeded in keeping both you and your children engaged during the tour. The bus ride was very pleasant but long ( 1 hour). When we got to the Mayans ruins, we were met by a gentleman who was so passionate about sharing his knowledge of the Mayans ruins. He actually brought it to life you could visualize what he was telling us about the people dancing and the marketplace. He explained what daily life was like back then. Then we went through what could only be described as a forest on a dirt, bumpy road for a couple of miles by bus. All of a sudden it opened up into this beautiful area with manicured lawn some flowers and peers going over the water with cabana type set up and lounge chairs. The food was very delicious and the swimming was spectacular, there are rocks, so you have to be careful or wear your water shoes it’s worth every minute. A great tour I think you will enjoy their kindness and generosity in sharing this beautiful area with Tourists.

Our tour guide David was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does. The tour was informative and enjoyable. The lagoon was amazing! Lunch was the best food we had during the entire trip. We had the place to ourselves, swimming, paddle boarding and laying on lounge chairs on a beautiful deck. Adam took great care of us, proving all the beverages we wanted and answering questions we had about the surrounding area. Overall, a wonderful trip. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an excursion in this area!

We were a group of 7 adults and 2 children, and everything was well organized.
Transportation, food, access to the sites were on time and organized, but even better our guide Miriam. She explained us a lot of things about the history, geography and life in the area and we really enjoy her company.
The visit to Chacchoben was very interesting for me, but not so much for the children, in the other hand the lagoon was perfect for everyone.
The food was very good and also the drinks and of course the "piña miel".
I would like visit this place having more time, he had to hurry to return to our cruise.

Nice overview of the area. Really not much else here. Rosa our guide and Miguel our driver were very pleasant. Gained a little insight on Mayan culture.

Although I rated this 5/5, I would like to offer some constructive criticism to help improve the experience. My wife and I felt slightly rushed at the ruins site, which was the main reason for the tour. The Bacalar lagoon visit was nice, but I would have liked to spend another 30 minutes at the ruins site.

The second observation was, “Miguel, slow down”. Not unsafe at all (the van was first rate), but the roads are marginal and from the back, we seemed moving fairly quickly. A bit more leisurely pace would have been appreciated. I’m not in a hurry.

To sum it up, it was a real good experience well worth the price.

    Highly recommend this excursion!

Overall the pros were small group setting, great food, unlimited drinks, and very fun environment. Water was clean and we were able to swim without crowds of people near us.

We were hesitant booking this instead of a cruise excursion but I would say it is totally worth it! We had a group of eight in our tour in comparison to the cruise excursions that held around 40 people. I went with my partner, and there was also a family of five. We all had a great time with Diego and Miguel!

Only thing to know is you may have to walk 15-20 mins from the port to get to the destination, but i always felt safe walking. They will drop you off closer to port after! They made sure they got us back to the ship with an hour to spare.

Absolutely loved this tour! Our guide Joel was amazing!!! He gave us insights in to his culture both from a historic perspective and a more recent perspective through his own experience growing up in the area. It was facinating to hear the development of Costa Maya since the port opened 20 years ago. He was friendly and helpful and encouraged us to ask any questions. Our driver Miguel was also great at getting us transported safely and making sure we had water on our exploration of the amazingly beautiful ruins. We ended our adventure with an authentic luncheon by the sea with time to enjoy the beautiful views, kayaks, water swings and open bar❤️

The tour guide Miriam made the tour! She was informative and punctual. She brought visual aids and artifacts that we were permitted to inspect. She explained so much more at the ruins than we would have learned on our own. At the lagoon, she was personable and attentive. I highly recommend this tour, especially if Miriam is your guide!

Miguel and Diego from Native Choice made for an incredible, personal tour of the Mayan ruins. While other tour groups catered to more than 40 people in a group, we received a personal tour with a guide whose knowledge on the Mayas was unparalleled. Then, for the lagoon, we were pampered with all-you-can-eat yummy Mexican tacos and bottomless frozen drinks. It was like having a private resort all to ourselves for a few hours. Both our driver and guide were incredibly polite, too, with great English.
