Great wildlife and family friendly cruise
Great tour. Scenic views of the harbour and the guides treated the wildlife with respect. The windproof jackets were a bonus.

We have been four times on the tour taking different International Students each time and it is still just as exciting for us as it is for them! Everyone needs to do the tour.

Best tour, you have to book it!
The best money spent for a 90min ocean tour. Birds, seals and cheeky dolphins glaore. The crew are very welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable. The boat is great and its loads of fun. Highly recommended it for the whole family. We will book again and hope to see whales.

We loved the Sea Wirrina tour! Lucky enough to have a pod of dolphins spend time with us, which was so fun and so beautiful, the kids were really excited. The guides were friendly and shared interesting info about the cliffs and jetties and inlets and sea life and we saw sea lions and seals. Brilliant! Would do again.

This tour is a little gem. Reasonably priced and the perfect length (1 hour). The boat was very comfortable, and we were blessed with a perfect Easter Day. The ride out (south) from the marina is the informative part of the trip, with skipper Andrew stopping at several points of interest along the way - caves, hidden beaches, old jetties, and of course seals and sea-lions. The trip back is an exhilarating high-speed ride. The view of the cliffs from the sea, coupled with the turquoise sea, is spectacular.

      South Aussie Must Do
After seeing The Big Duck Tours featured on TV, and seeing photos on their Facebook page, we decided the night before to book a tour for the next day, Sunday. We booked the Southern Ocean Adventure because we have always wanted to try and see Dolphins and Seals in their home. Well, we were not disappointed! We had Pods of Dolphins frolicking around the boat and Our tour guides Captain Kirk and Jessie were very informative about the mammals and the islands and areas that both seals and dolphins live, as well as some local history. The sea was a little choppy, but we enjoyed riding the waves and felt safe in the boat at all times. I would like to do the 4-hour tour next time, and possibly do a whale watching tour during the winter months. We thoroughly would recommend for any tourists either, international, visitors from interstate, or like us from Adelaide to add this on their must do list. It was fantastic.

Great experience. The waters, outlook and sea life was fantastic. I recommend this to all. Water was still for anyone who gets sea sick. Boat crew were very informational.

A bit of the Italian coast in South Australia
A really great trip, seeing parts of the coast only accessible from the water. Crystal clear water, caves and secret beaches, and the occasional seal/sealion. Great crew and really interesting tour, and great value. Thanks Captain Kirk!

      The Victor experience
The views were amazing, and the crew knowledgeable about all the set stops. The dolphins were the highlight with them swimming around the boat.

This was a fabulous experience. The boat was extremely well maintained and managed and we all felt very safe. We saw a number of seals on the island. The best was watching one dive from the rocks into the water and then reappear a few minutes later. Then we sped off to Encounter Bay where we saw a post of dolphins hunting and then circling our boat. It was fantastic! Highly recommended this tour.

This is our second cruise which in both instances was excellent and highly recommended.
However, in both instances our on line bookings were not coordinated by the office and we arrived at the vessel with the skipper having no knowledge of our reservation and with him having to phone the office for confirmation. In one case, the office didn't even have knowledge of our booking even though we have documents in our hand confirming the booking. In one instance, the skipper had no available seats for us which did not impress us and we had return on another day!
Not good when we were hosting interstate visitors!
Apart from that unwelcome experience we enjoyed the cruise very much.

Thanks for your review, i had a look at your reservation & it looks like someone from your party of 5x called and cancelled your booking due to being unwell....It seems that our booking staff should have only cancelled 1x ticket rather than the whole booking? We apologise for any inconvience.

As part of a tour around the Fleurieu Peninsula with Pure SA, my wife and I took the Big Duck Boat tour out to Seal Island. What a fantastic experience. As if Seal Island itself wasn’t enough – and seeing seals that close up would surely be enough for anyone – we also spent a good deal of time amongst two pods of dolphins in Encounter Bay and had the thrill of high speed turns in the return to the Causeway. What a way for me to spend my birthday. Wow!

Informative trip, saw some wildlife including a brief glimpse of a southern right whale. Boat is stable, staff are informative, friendly and well prepared. Whilst a sunny day, was cold so we were thoughtfully provided warm gear to wear. We enjoyed it, well worth the price.

Thanks so much for your reivew! Awesome that you managed to see a Souther Right Whale on the Seal Island tour, as we don't have the time on this tour to search known Whale locations, sighting are more incedental, but still amazing to see.

We had a fabulous time on the boat, definately recommend this experience. We had a wide age range in our group - (20 - 60 years old) and there were others with younger children. A great set of guides (Kirk and Grace). Safety with pleasure was their goal and they smashed it. Love the wet suit poncho's and they did a great job.

If you love the sea, this is an experience you shouldn't miss. We had a unique time on the boat ride, spotting a few baby penguins and sea lions. The captain provided interesting information about them during the tour. Make sure to book online before you go. The ride was very safe.

This was my second trip with Big Duck. The first was along the coastline at Normanville. The second was around the islands off Victor Harbor. Both trips were excellent. Lots of information. The rock formation off Normanville was amazing & of course seeing it from the boat gave a totally different perspective. We saw seals & off from Victor dolphins right up close. Magic. My grandchildren loved the very exciting boat ride round the Victor islands.
Heartily recommend both trips. Totally professional. Felt very safe while enjoying the exciting ride, wonderful views & close ups with seals, birds & dolphins.🎉🎉

We (myself and three teenage girls) did the 45 min tour to seal rocks today and it was amazing. Pods of dolphins right next to the boat and lots of seals (I was told we were very lucky to see what we did). Very friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. Great job! Would definitely recommend.
