      Wonderful experience
We recently went on the two-hour trip to the Rampion wind farm, which was fantastic. John was a great guide, providing a wealth of interesting information, and the speed of the boat never fails to impress. This is the third Sussex Boat trip we've been on, and we'll certainly be booking again next year - would highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible view of the seven sisters during sunset - we even saw dolphins! Oh and a great guide too!
What a special experience. I took my partner for our anniversary on the 'Sunset Cruise'. We have lived on the south coast for a few years now and walked the seven sisters previously, but nothing compares to the truly stunning view we got from the sea! We met John our captain & guide at the marina where he gave us a safety briefing and fitted us with lifejackets. Once on the boat we headed out of the harbour and were lucky enough to see a group of bottlenose dolphins which swam around us jumping out of the water. Apparently, it's more common to see porpoises in that particular area, I'm not sure I would have been able to tell the difference myself but John assured us these were bottlenose dolphins! We got some photos of them jumping out of the water, before heading over towards Cuckmere Haven to see the famous coastguard cottages and watch the sunset. We were the only ones there, and with the engines off, it was so peaceful and tranquil; all the white cliffs looked striking as the sun was setting on them. Overall a really special experience and a stunning way to see the most beautiful part of the south coast of england. Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it!

      Trip to Rampion wind farm
What an amazing trip. John the guide, and Dom where very informative and friendly. The rib is a great way to travel, and the Rampion wind farm was a facinating place to visit. I would highly recommend using them for your trip. Thanks for a great afternoon.

      Rampion Wind Farm boat trip
A brilliant boat trip! John was the consummate professional on the day and before we made the trip; as his updates via text when the weather wasn’t good were very helpful. On the day John and Dom made the experience brilliant, with John’s knowledge on Rampion and Dom’s pilot skills with the boat very good. My partner and I had a brilliant time and we would throughly recommend this boat trip.

Fun on the Rib and interesting trip
Went on rib to see Rampion wind farm - John the guy that runs the trip was fantastic- helpful, informative and very interesting. He was a lovely guide, honest and kind manner. He was good at pre communication and on the day re the weather and safety came first on the boat. Highly recommend this trip

Exciting and enjoyable to get so close to the turbines. Also a learning experience and so much fun for all 3 generations of the family.

      Sunset cruise
We were met by John, exceptionally friendly, and instructed us on safety and our life jackets. We took the boat out along the coast and it was exhilarating, but always felt totally safe. Unfortunately our sunset didn’t happen due to cloud cover but John took amazing photos of us with the Seven Sisters backdrop. Would recommend and will be back to try the other trips.

      First class.
Our second trip out with John, this time on his trip to the Rampion Windfarm. Took our two granddaughters who love the boat. John is such a friendly and very experienced skipper, you fell safe from the moment you start the safety brief. He also has lots of knowledge to share on the wind farm. A really great trip.

      Magical boat trip
We had an amazing trip out to the Rampion Wind Farm. We were able to get really close to the massive turbines and John was very informative and knowledgeable. I have Parkinson’s and back problems but John was extremely accommodating and helpful. I sat at the rear of the boat where it was less bumpy. I would highly recommend this trip and this company.

A very informative and enjoyable boat trip out to the Rampion Wind Farm.
The trip out to the Rampion Wind Farm was very enjoyable, and we were very lucky with the weather, which was sunny but not too hot. John, the helmsman, is a great guy, striking an excellent balance between humour and some very interesting and informative commentary on the history and background of the wind farm. We have been on several boat trips with Sussex Boat Trips, and all have been great. Highly recommended, but dress reasonably warmly for the visit to the wind farm, and be prepared for quite choppy seas on the way out, depending on the wind direction.

Trip out to the wind farm yesterday. We had a great morning - super speedy and comfortable boat and John couldn't have been more knowledgeable or helpful. And we saw a seal! Highly recommend.

Amazing trip organiser John. He made the journey so much fun. He has a great sense of humour and is highly knowledgeable about the area. We were privileged to be visited by a pod of dolphins who entertained us for 20-30 minutes. We got several photographs and videos. Fortunately the ferry was due in so we were happy to wait and enjoy the dolphins. John was just as excited as we were, saying he had never seen them in all the time he had done this work. I booked the trip for the benefit of my husband who was visiting from America. He enjoyed himself thoroughly.

Great fun, bombing along the coast. really recommend for a great view of the seven sisters. John is such a nice man and fun. He accommodated a very disabled child without hesitation and involved him really nicely in the experience.

The weather was perfect and the sea was calm. On arrival the skipper (John) made us feel very welcome. Everything was explained in advance so boarding etc was very straightforward. The trip itself was great and John made a great guide stoping every now and then to point out features on the cliffs. The ride itself was very smooth considering the speed we were traveling at. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see the cliffs from the sea.

This is a fantastic experience, and well worth the money.

Our crew, John and Dom, gave a comprehensive safety brief and warned us of all the potential risks involved with sailing the high seas. They also warned us not to use the word ‘Awesome’ when describing the trip, having brought along friends from the USA, this proved to be a challenge.

During the trip, John was a font of local knowledge and kept us engaged in light-hearted banter that made all of us feel included.

The trip itself was breathtaking. The weather was perfect and seeing the Seven Sisters and lighthouse close up was staggering. The crew also organised a fly-past of two Spitfires just for us!

All in all, an experience that, whilst not awesome, was Fabulous X10!

Very highly recommended, and we will be back to do it again.

John is an excellent host and was very hospitable to all of the boat passengers. The trip out was amazing and Johns knowledge of the 7 Sisters was second to none. On the way back John asked one of the passengers if they would like to captain the boat, it was equally a thrilling ride back to the dock. Additionally this gave John a great story for the pub. If you want to know why you’ll have to take a trip.

Everything was perfect, meeting location, safety briefing, vessel and the helmsman John. He made a point of learning every passengers name, gave pertinent facts along the way at each stop and also included some light-hearted anecdotes too. My 12 year old grandson loved it too, especially when the vessel was at speed.

We went on the boat trip at the weekend with our 6 year old and discerning 10 year old! John was absolutely brilliant with the kids, he was asking them questions and involving them throughout the trip which made them feel really special and they loved it! The trip is really educational and its lots of fun for the whole family. I'd highly recommend it. We went in the morning and it really made our whole day.

Went there with my family and we liked the Tour. John was our guide and was a great guide knowing very well his stuff and as well helping us along the tour. Example such as: Helping taking groups photos, panoramas, providing blanket, making jokes etc...
My parents did not speak English, only French, but John had some knowledge of the language and was able to give them some information too.

Note that the tour does not start from Brighton but I think may be better value than the one starting from Brighton: it did not feel like a mass tourism attraction which you can sometimes feel when there is too much people trying to do the same thing. Instead here we felt like we were in a friendly group. Note that we were 12 on the boats to give you an idea of the size of the group party.

I originally booked for the Rampion wind farm trip for my partners birthday however the strong winds meant the trip could not go ahead. Helmsman John gave us plenty of notice and information about the risk of not being able to go and offered us instead a trip the same day for the beach head trip. What great service! On arrival to the marina John made us feel very welcome and gave us all the info we needed. It was a wonderful trip- fun, fast and informative. John’s knowledge of the local area, environment, wildlife and water was second to none. Every second of the trip was fabulous. Highly recommend!

A great boat trip. John's local knowledge was excellent and even though we live locally, we learned several new things about the area. We were also very lucky and saw a seal bob up to take a look at us. The trip was just the right length. Highly recommended.
