- thecookingapple0 contributionsE-Biking in KentGreat set up with friendly team. We hired bikes for a half day and were given maps and tips - all we needed to see the sights and eat and drink well along the way. The routes are great as mostly on small country lanes perfect for a relaxing cycle.Written 26 October 2022
- sophiebI4228KT0 contributionsAmazing funIt was lovely to go out for the whole day just me and my husband and follow the maps we were given the bikes were great and we have now bought 3 bikes from Marcus and Warren and did our first trip with them to France we absolutely love electric biking thanks to the help from these guys XxWritten 21 June 2022
- M_Smith45670 contributionsFun, outstanding scenery and exemplary serviceAbsolutely amazing company and experience. We went for a half day tour for my daughters Birthday. We are a group of 3, me my 80 year old mum and my 22 year old daughter. On arrival although Marcus was very patient and helpful mum had lost more fitness than she thought over lockdown and felt she couldn't manage the bikes. My daughter and I subsequently took the beautiful self guided tour through safe country lanes whilst Marcus provided my mum with coffee and company. He then kindly drove her to meet us at the vineyard for an hours wine tasting before collecting her again whilst we cycled back. He really went above and beyond to make the experience workable and enjoyable for all involved, even when it did not go to our original plan.Written 31 January 2022

- Leisure20210 contributionsGreat fun, memorable dayGreat day out, having an electric bike made all the difference. It allowed us to go so much further. Marcus was very helpful and provided an excellent route map and instruction before we left. We saw some beautiful villages and stopped for lunch at Heath Hurst vineyard wh we e we had a fantastic food platter and lovely wine. I would recommend giving it a go. We will certainly be back .Written 9 June 2021
- timfN5650AO0 contributionsFantastic Day In The Kent WealdFirst time out on electric bikes and very enjoyable it was. Communication throughout with Marcus was fantastic and we had a great reception on arrival. Our party of five opted for the full day tour which is plotted at 30m however with a few detours to take in castles and vineyards and a pub lunch we clocked up almost 40m which was a breeze with the electric assistance. The countryside is spectacular particularly on a sunny day with Oast Houses and other traditional Kentish houses aplenty. If you have OS maps app on your phone we found it easier to plot the recommended route and follow that rather than maps but even if you do go astray ( which we did ) you are never too far off route and often you discover a hidden delight. I'd highly recommend this experience to all and any - my group of late teens and early 20's loved it.Written 4 June 2021
- Curiosity5763750 contributionsGreat day outEverything was very well organised and Marcus was very helpful from how to ride the bikes and what routes to take. The country side on the routes is beautiful, the lanes are peaceful and not much traffic. We throughly enjoyed our trip and I would definitely recommend this experience. You don’t need to be fit or young to ride these bikes. We will definitely be booking again.Written 12 May 2021
- simonhN4519MZ0 contributionsGreat bike touring in KentWe had an excellent experience. The e-bikes are great - very good batteries; sturdy; comfortable seats. The routes are well thought out - we self-guided and stopped off for lunch at a vineyard and a drink at a traditional pub - with pretty countryside without too many hills. Lawrence was extremely helpful, full of great ideas for things to do en route. Can't wait until next tour!Written 25 October 2020
- nickreffitt0 contributionsLovely day outReally enjoyed our visit! Marcus messaged me a few hours before we visited just to confirm our booking and to let us know the bikes were ready. Very welcoming, well set up for social distancing, and the self guided tour worked really well. The route was very easy to follow and had clear visual directions on each turn we needed to make. We ended up at a very nice vineyard and had a great time before setting off on our way back. If your looking for something to do during COVID crisis, this is a perfect day outWritten 6 September 2020

- karina09090 contributionsBest day out everA group of 11 celebrated our friend’s 30th birthday by whizzing around Kent on electric bikes. It was such a great experience from start to finish. The landscape is stunning and the wineries/pubs served as wonderful rest stops. Marcus was an absolute legend. He and his team are so friendly and made everyone feel warm and welcome. They really made my friend’s birthday really special and we all very much appreciated their hospitality. Only downside is that the day has ended but I will definitely be coming back.Written 8 August 2020
- Joanne M0 contributionsZippy bikes on the last day of summerHad a great time on our electric bike tour. Bikes were fabulous - their charge lasted a good 5 hours, and our welcome and orientation with the technicalities of the bikes both thorough and informative. Lovely area to explore on (mostly) quite or empty country lanes. Review only loses one star from the full five as the road names on our map were hard to read with sharpie on top, and that the pub lunch element sadly wasn't available on a saturday hire as advertised.Written 22 September 2019

Glad to have found this place to hire e-bikes for the day. We received a friendly welcome and we were given a good introduction to our bikes and of places to go in the local area. The map and suggested route given were really useful. The bikes themselves were really impressive, robust and powerful - didn't feel the hills at all! My bike had panniers that we could keep all of our lunch and extra clothes in, so that we could just enjoy the day. I would recommend to anyone looking to take in the beautiful Kent countryside and idyllic villages dotted around. An added bonus is the cute coffee shop and glamping site in situ for recovering the calories, and gift shop close by!

Cycled 30 miles and it wasn't a workout, more like good exercise. Such a great way to see the most beautiful part of Kent. There were 5 settings on the electric bike and we started off at the lowest setting (we wanted the exercise) but as our legs got tired we amped it up to the top setting, which on my bike was called 'Turbo'! The guided route included pictures at each junction and we overshot just 1 junction and only looked at the actual map about 3 times.

We hired the bikes for the day and explored the idyllic countryside around Frittenden and Sissinghurst, stopping for a glass of wine at the lovely Hush Heath vineyard.
The bikes are really easy to use and take all the effort out of hills. We are in our late 50s, covered about 25 miles and enjoyed every minute.
Helmets, tour map and security chain were all provided.

Cannot rave about the Electric Bike Centre enough. Marcus is very accommodating and has so much knowledge of the local area. We hired bikes for the day and loved every minute of it. Had lunch at the local vineyard, had fun getting lost on the bikes, and came back to have tea & cake at Bloomsburys. The electric bikes took the stain out of the hills, and we didn't realise how many miles we had covered, as we weren't even out of breath. Wonderful day had by all

Fantastic day out, with a great route. We were given the 20 mile route, taking in frittenden, headcorn and Smarden. Bikes were very good, and the route was mainly quiet country roads. We took in a pub in Smarden for lunch, and the vineyards in Biddenden in the afternoon (we did the full day option). The staff could not have been friendlier!

Brilliant couple of days touring the beautiful Kentish Weald on e bikes. Thanks to Marcus the owner who was very helpful with suggestions for routes/pubs, etc. The bikes really take the strain out of cycling so it all becomes a pleasure. It’s a very picturesque part of the world with several vineyards, National Trust properties and innumerable achingly pretty villages to explore. I would thoroughly recommend this company and their various tours for a different way of exploring the area. Thanks again Marcus.

Genco Construction Services hired electric bikes with you for a Charity Bike ride we completed on Saturday 12th September. The bikes were a massive help to the more inexperienced riders and they were GREAT!! I completely recommend. Thank you so much to Marcus and Simon for all your help. We will for sure be using the e bikes again.

We had an amazing experience renting bikes from the E-Bike centre! The bikes themselves were great and so effortless to ride. We were given everything we needed - helmets, locks, a pump and baskets to carry our things. We managed to visit 4 vineyards in the area and had an amazing time trying the wines.
Warren was super helpful and even gave us a lift to the train station when our bus didn't show up. We would definitely recommend!

A visitor to Kent from New Zealand, I have enjoyed the use of a hire e-bike for rides twice a week over the last 6 weeks from UK Electric Bike Centre. Marcus and Warren have been great. There is always a bike fully charged and waiting for me when I arrive, plus plenty of good advice and maps to help me enjoy each day. I have certainly explored the country lanes and enjoyed the cafes, pubs and vineyards of The Weald while here. Bonus - superb weather every day! Thanks Guys.

My partner and I made a snap decision to rent some electric bikes for a few hours as we saw an advert for them while we stopped at a pub in Dymchurch. Going on the website there were several choices of beautiful routes around the Kent countryside. So we followed the guidance the next day to get to the centre 20 mins before 10am and met Marcus, who welcomed us straight away. Marcus gave us a really professional and useful talk through how to use the bikes safely and let us have a practice around the gravel driveway. Marcus saw that we had our little dog with us and kindly suggested taking him out for a walk while we were out for our bike ride.
On the ride, we followed the really clear photo guides of the route and made our way to the vineyard. The route lead us through beautiful wooded lanes and past idyllic farmhouses set back from the road. The vineyard was a great place to stop as we had food platter of local cheeses and tried out some of the signature wines. We then made our way back to the hire centre. The bikes were comfortable and really easy to use, it helped me no end to get me up the hills! The throttle gives you a bit of a boost when you get tired and you can alter the motor so you can keep going when you stop peddling but you can also use the bike as you would do normally.
We really enjoyed our experience, Marcus went above and beyond to help us get the most out of it and my partner’s dog had a great walk which was unexpected and very thoughtful. We would consider repeating the experience with the kids next time as they would love it!
