Thanks for including Port Arthur as part of your Tasmanian holiday! Visitors certainly are enjoying the chance to experience the site with fewer people and take the time to fully immerse themselves in what we have to offer. Our opening hours have been extended to 10am - 5pm for onsite exploring and we have reopened 1830 Restaurant & Bar as well as restarted our popular Ghost Tours for night time offerings. We hope to see you back at the site soon! Kind regards the Port Arthur Historic Site team

This is such an interesting place. Such a lot of hard work done by prisoners. I can’t imagine the life people loved back then.
