We are first timers in Portland and are so glad we did this tour. There were six of my family members and another couple on our tour and the feeling was unanimous among us.

I would recommend to anyone visiting to start with a guided bike tour, just to scope things out and make notes of places to visit later. We visited several breweries and tasted many nice beers. Our tour guide (Todd) was great. He was very patient with everyone and gave us a lot of history as we road around. He also helped us with restaurant recommendations as well as with other local activities.

After our bike ride we went right back to same neighborhoods to try more beers and to check out the restaurants.

Thanks for the memories!

The brewery tour was well run. Our guide was excellent. The places we stopped at were fun and gave us time to visit with the other people on the tour. Unfortunately as of August 2021 when this review was written, the city of Portland is one I would not step foot in again. The homeless population has taken over and we passed by tents and tarps on almost every street. We had planned to go back into the city to spend time the next day but because we were so disturbed by the homeless population we made plans to do some thing else. My husband and I live in one of the rougher cities in the country so things like graffiti and homeless people are not uncommon but it’s out of control in Portland. The bike tour was great and I wish the owners all the best. I’m hoping they can continue to do business even with the city in such poor condition.

The tour was good. The cycle around Portland was so much fun.

We didn’t get the pint at the end however (I challenged this and the guide stated that they never give out a pint at the end) and we shared 2 beer flights between 7 of us which didn’t feel good value for money.

Overall, great way to see the city, just expect to be a little thirsty

So sorry, we had a new guide and he misunderstood the beer allotment. We usually give a tasting tray for each couple per stop rounded up, close to double that amount. On many tours, I have had people refuse the last round because they've had enough! We discontinued the ending pint during 2020 because we had so few tours, and it wasn't universally appreciated even in the best years. We have removed that info from the Tripadvisor description. -Scotland

We had a great bike ride thru the city with perfect fall weather. Our own private Oktoberfest. We really enjoyed the Function PDX pop-up Tap Room featuring Ferment Brewing. Their saison is fantastic. Our final stop also had great rooftop views of the soccer stadium. The houselessness issue is troubling. While it did not directly effect our ride we hope the city can work together to find housing for everyone.

Daniel was AWESOME.

This review is long time coming as we attended one of his bike tours that he took the time to kind of customize and adapt for all the needs in our group of 6 (3couples) ages 30-34, back in April of 2019 Before Covid was ever a thing. He was also super knowledagble about the history of Portland (I learned a lot that day) and had great recommendations for places to check out to eat and walk around as we like to toodle, go for walks and wonder around places that are a little off the beaten path but still really pretty and enjoyable.

The pubs we popped into had EXCELLENT beer & eats. As well as soooo many cute well behaved pups. Our route included gorgeous gardens, parks, huge trees, a lot of beautiful charcter homes and well kept older neghbourhoods.

Would highly recommend and would absolutely love to go back.
Thank you for one of the most memorable days Daniel!

Cheers,

Casandra

My husband and I enjoyed the brewery tour on our quick weekend trip to visit Portland for the first time. Ana was a great guide and was fun to spend time with while we pedaled and sampled different brews around town. Even though it rained during our tour, Ana was prepared with ponchos and a bright disposition to carry us through our tour. We loved it!

This was a blast! John was our wonderful guide and he is so patient, kind, knowledgeable and fun! I had not been on a bike in many years and was apprehensive but excited. He took the time to find just the right bike for my short legs. My husband and I had never been to Portland and this was the perfect way to get to know the city. John told us all about the history of the buildings, bridges and the breweries we visited. I am not in the best shape and was worried I would fall behind but we stopped fairly often to take a breather and take in some wonderful architecture. We tasted some yummy brews at the 3 places we stopped. My favorite being Al's Den. Thank you John and Pedal Bike Tours!

My wife and I had a great afternoon riding along with Todd. We hit three breweries and had a nice ride along the river and through some neighborhoods. Along the way, our guide pointed out a few other “don’t miss” brewery’s to visit while we were in town (which we did!). We shared a flight at each location. The bikes were easy to ride, equipment was supplied- even ponchos which we used because we got caught in a downpour at one point. It didn’t matter! We had a great afternoon and even learned a little along the way.

The highlight of our quick weekend trip was this Tour with our guide Scotland on a misty Portland afternoon. So much history and information paired with some seriously delicious brews! Worth every penny! We got a real taste of Portland. Hope to visit again and try another Tour in the future! Thanks from Diana and Colette 😊
