- angelmarston720 contributionsGreat with the kidsThe entire crew were so amazing with the kids. They interacted with each child individually as well as a group.Written 13 August 2023
- pattonbrandon1190 contributionsA great time for the kids.It was a blast. The show was cool and saw dolphins also. Recommend for families. I does get hot so sun screen!Written 9 July 2023
- katieburke7110 contributionsFun for allThis was a fun adventure for our children. The staff does a nice job of engaging and interacting with the Littles. It was nice that they also include families as part of the fun. One suggestion might be to add some music at certain times, especially when searching for treasure, or while, awaiting the smaller ship to come. It also might have been nice if the boat traveled a bit more.. the constant circling and dealing with fast boat traffic made it turbulent at times. Overall a great experience.Written 1 July 2023
- anderson65590 contributionsPirates of Hilton Head are the best!My kids loved it (10, 7, 3 and 2). Scully was fabulous and drew in the children (and one dad) to totally immerse themselves in the entertaining Pirate Cruise. Totally worth the cost and more!!Written 17 July 2022
- stephen1120220 contributionsThe boys loved it!My boys love pirates so I booked a day on this attraction for them while we were in HHI for the week of the 4th. The staff all did a great job, especially “Scurvy” and the boys had a fantastic time. Would recommend to anyone with small kids, it was a blast!Written 9 July 2022
- V7244BCkristin0 contributionsPirate FunMy boys (5 & 7) had the most fun on our pirate adventure. They absolutely loved the water cannons!! Highly recommend!!Written 25 June 2022
- Natalie H0 contributionsPirates HHIThe crew did a great job making sure they interacted with every kid on board including the parents. The kids told everyone about their pirate adventure that day including how we got to see dolphins.Written 11 August 2019
- rstephens3770 contributionsGreat trip.I have a 5 & 7 year old. They both loved it. I do think 7-8 years old is the top age that would enjoy the cruise. Overall wonderful experience.Written 26 July 2019
- THLauren1030 contributionsAwesome adventure for kids!My daughter said this was "the best day ever!" The pirate adventure was much-loved by my 3 and 6 year olds, and my mom and I enjoyed it too! I'm very glad we chose the morning trip, because it was hot and there wasn't a lot of shade (though there was some available, but the kids sit in full sun). The crew was great and had good improvisation even when parts of our quest went awry (Smelly Sam almost got hit by another boat, and we ran over our own stash of grog and broke the bottle haha).Written 21 July 2019
- Stanley D0 contributionsGreat for kidsWell worth the price for kids ...on that note adults tickets way too much to sit and watch doing nothing or participateWritten 19 July 2019
- UAMichael0 contributionsGrandkids at Pirates HHI 86 Helmsman Way Suite 101Grandma & I took Ava 5, Ben 8 & Ethan 10. Yeah it was $30 each but this experience is A Production. We signed up with on-line & phone combo, easy check-in. Opportunity to buy eye patches, head scarves, swords. Oportunity to get free tatoo-decal, marking-pen scars. Opportunity to take vest, sash, etc from clothing chest outside check-in. Some nerf sword-play passed the time quickly. I guess we had 20 kids aged 4 to 11 and 20 adults. The ship looked like a real pirate ship. High forecastle & stern; cannons along each side of the maindeck; masts and riggings. The Captain was great. Booming persona to the kids with humorus quiet asides to the adults. When he left the wheel to participate in foredeck theatrics he told us not to worry, he was putting the ship on "automatic prirate". Recent-collge-grad Salty was a great story-teller and Stingray and an able assistant in the melodrama. The story was supported by a hidden map (which also involved adult participation), a note in a bottle, and a floating treasure chest which was opened on the foredeck. Plastic coins, plastic jewelry and tiny plastic nautical animals were passed around. All kids were given a chance to shoot water cannons at the scurvy pirate-in-a-motorboat, Smelly Sam. Be Prepared: No restroom afloat!Written 16 July 2019
- FarAway111609950980 contributionsThe best fun for our 7 year oldWe recently went on a trip to Tybee and my son wanted to do a boat trip. We came across the Pirates of HHI and called them up to book the adventure. From the moment, we arrived he was very into the fun. Dressing up as a pirate, getting a tattoo, picking his pirate name and bringing his own sword from home was allowed. The crew was very interactive with all the kids. Even some of the parents are used to help out in the adventure. Everyone had a turn at the water cannons and opening the treasure chest was a hit. My son wanted to do it again the same day. If you like to have some fun watching your kids get into a pirate adventure, this is highly recommended by our family.Written 8 July 2019
- Flyer436776020960 contributionsAdventure on the high seasThe Pirate Cruise is a favorite with my grandkids. The ship's crew is very animated and makes it feel very real for the young kids. The poor villain takes quite a beating with the water cannons manned by the kids. A great time out on the water!Written 7 July 2019
- Dreamer340344108840 contributionsTitle was deceivingThis was listed as a pirate ship “cruise.” However, we barely left the dock and that was as far as the cruise segment went. They would circle the boat in the same spot while they threw the clues in the water. I would have rather paid my money for the dolphin cruise. Very disappointed.Written 7 July 2019
- Sightsee009780959490 contributionsFun time for allThe kids loved it. 10 and 7 year old girls. And an almost 2 year old son. He wandered around a bit, but the pirates didn’t mind and kept him involved even when he wasn’t with the other kids. I was worried about my ten year olds’ interest, but she liked it the most! I think because she was the oldest, she was able to play along in the imagination of it all to help inspire the little ones.Written 26 June 2019

We had such a great experience today on the pirate adventures! The crew were entertaining, and even got both parents and kids involved in the treasure hunt. As a bonus, we even saw dolphins on the trip. The trip leaves out of the Harbor Village Marina. So, if you are not staying in the Sea Pines area, you will need to buy a day pass to get into Harbor Village. Be aware that the Harbor Village security gate ONLY accepts CASH! The parking can be a little tricky. So, it is best to arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes before you are supposed to be there. There is plenty of shopping and ice cream shops for the kids while you wait.

My two boys (5 and 3) experienced the Pirates of Hilton Head cruise on 7/31/21. It was such a great time! The crew does a wonderful job of including everyone in on the fun - even the adults that come along! It’s clear they enjoy doing this every day, it showed in the way they interacted with each other. The boat ride is smooth so there is no concern for sea sickness while on board. We even saw dolphins on our trip. The kids loved blasting Stinky Pete with the water cannons and are still talking about the whole thing weeks later. I can’t recommend this cruise enough for young kids and parents!

I highly recommend this pirate cruise for kids 2-8. Our 6 year old absolutely loved it and it was his favorite part of our vacation. Scurvy was hilarious and the staff did a great job getting kids and parents involved. Stinky Pete didn’t get away with our treasure…. Arghhhh

The boat was well ran and very entertaining!!! Our 5 year ild loved every minute. They offer face painting taboos and get the kids so excited before you head down to the boat. Then it is about 90 minutes of pirate excitement. The crew was amazing a d so friendly!!!

We went on the Black Sparrow with our 5-year old son, mom and dad and grandpa. It was a smaller group, about 6 kids total but we had a blast! Squirt and Captain No-Beard and Smelly Sam kept my son interested and the whole family entertained. The crew really enjoys what they do and it made a difference. Oh, and we also spotted some dolphins on our trip, an unexpected bonus!

We recently went out as a large group (we had the whole boat). We had kids from baby to 18 years old and they ALL loved it! So did the adults, everyone had a great time. If they have a good attitude they will have fun. Squirt and Captain No Beard are incredible, so was Smelly Sam. (poor guy). Even Disney couldn't do a better job than this crew!

This was without a doubt the most fun thing we did with our grandchildren when they came to visit. It was fun for grandparents, parents and kids. Loved blowing Stinky Pete into the water!!! They actually bring up a treasure chest and let the kids choose their booty. I’d say it’s for ages 10 and under.
