Comprehensive Exhibits with Lots of Music Selections
Jul 2021
This was a very comprehensive exhibit about the historical development of rock and soul, the rise of the music scene in Memphis, the impact of rock and soul on culture and race relations, and the devastating consequences of the assassination of Martin Luther KIng on the City of Memphis. This sounds very pedantic, but with the music clips, costumes, and anecdotal information, it was very interesting and we learned a lot. We only wish we had had time to listen to more of the optional music selections.

Small but interesting
Sep 2019
This was the smallest of the museums we went to see. It still had a good selection of
memorabilia especially from musicians from Memphis. There was quite a lot of Elvis memorabilia which my husband and I were mostly interested in.

Loved this place! Allowed to take lots of pictures (no flash.) Listening centers clearly numbered and tons of music to enjoy. Allow extra time to listen to lots of social justice songs from the past.

It's a small location, but it is well put.
Sep 2018
It has very interesting items, one thing you will notice are the guitars at the ceiling, if you don't look up at the entrance you will not notice them. They have Elvis portable phone that he took every where with him (no cell phones then).
