An unforgettable experience! Book with Cartotrekking!!
The Path of the Gods was the highlight of our trip to the Amalfi Coast. And using Cartotrekking was the best decision we made. The booking process was so easy and pleasant. They went above & beyond by ensuring we had transportation from our hotel to the start of the trail. Our guide Marco, was absolutely the BEST! As we hiked the trail, he gave us insights into the history of the land, the culture, and the people, an experience we would have never had if we hiked alone. He also climbed trees to pick us herbs and fruit along the way. He was patient and went at our pace the entire time. Lastly, we had plans to climb down the 1,000 steps at the end of the hike to go to the beach. Marco insisted that he come with us, to ensure our experience was nothing short of perfect to the very end. Going down 1,000 steps with us, meant he had to climb back up 1,000 steps at the end! And he was more than happy to do it. He went the extra mile, literally. BOOK this hike! Thank you, Marco and Cartotrekking!

A must do if in Sorrento/Amalfi coastarea
Found this by pure chance whilst on a train to Pompeii. On the train route display on board it showed a cable car at Castellammare di Stabia, so decided to investigate a bit further. Took a train from Sorrento and got off at Castellammare di Stabia. The cable car entrance is in the main station and tickets can be bought inside the station. Its an 8 minute trip up and costs 9.5 euros for an adult return. There are a couple of restaurants up the top that are comparable in price to what you can get anywhere else in the Amalfi region. The views of the bay of Naples from the top are the best you could hope for. There are walking routes around the area and it is also a place where paragliders and hang gliders can launch. It is a bit cooler than sea level, and the trees provide extra shade if you are a bit too hot. The day we went it wasn't too busy and fairly cool but I can imagine it may get a lot busier in warmer months.

    Perfect Hike with Enzo!
To say that Enzo went above and beyond for us would be an understatement. He truly did everything possible to make this the most amazing hike for us. It wasn’t just a hike—Enzo made it a cultural experience that we will fondly remember forever. Enzo was communicative, warm, positive, knowledgeable, and fun. He is not only an expert on the hiking trails of the region, but also on the history and wildlife. He taught us so much about the history of the Amalfi Coast and on the agricultural production in the area. We got to sample lots of local lemon products along the hike, and it was such a special (and delicious) experience. The hike gave us the experience to visit both Minori and Maiori, two very authentic destinations on the Amalfi Coast. Along the way, we passed through charming hamlets and saw scenery that we never would have seen otherwise! Enzo offered to take lots of photos of us along the way which we really appreciated. Reasonably fit people would not find the Path of the Lemons to be challenging, so I would recommend this experience to anyone! Enzo was so patient with us as we took our time taking pictures and soaking in the views. I highly recommend booking the Path of Lemons, or any other hike, with Enzo and Cartotrekking.

    Amazing Amalfi Adventure
Hike was amazing with breathtaking views. Wonderful guide who also spoke English and was very informative. Had lunch at the Shepards Place about half way through. That in itself was worth it.

We just finished the Path of the Gods hike with Marco today, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From pointing out the vegetation, to telling compelling stories about the history and culture, to guiding us with humor and care - we loved our time on this hike. Stunning views and unforgettable memories!

    Nice walk in Mt. Faito
Experienced guide, we had a very nice day amidst the rain. Nice landscape, not tiring at all, we could also pick up some chestnuts. Tour done in Italian although foreigners were welcome too.

This was, without a doubt, one of the most incredible experiences we’ve had since moving to Italy. We met up with Giovanni in Agerola and began our walk. Along the way he took time to explain what we were seeing in terms of plant life, rock formations, historic buildings, and the winery we must return to visit. :-)

Since my wife is six months pregnant, Giovanni kept a perfect pace for our hike too. He told us about the shepherds who live and work in the mountains, making it that much more fun when three of them walked by with two goats! He kindly paused to take pictures of us along the way and even brought fresh cherries for us to enjoy in one of our shady spot pit stops.

We enjoyed stopping at Piazza Santa Croce and visiting Lemon Point. Fresh, organic lemons and oranges crushed in ice hits the spot after that hike, for sure!

We added to our experience a lunch at Il Ritrovo in Montepertuso afterwards and it was absolutely delicious. Well worth the money.

Tips for making your experience as awesome as possible:

1) No flip flops! (Yes, we saw others with them.) The ground is too loose in some areas so wear something with good tread.

2) Bring a Camelback or backpack for bottles filled with at least 1.5 L of water per person.

3) Choose the ferry ride back to Amalfi where you catch a bus back to your car in Agerola. It’s awesome to see from the water where you just walked all morning.

4) Choose an early morning hike or wait until late afternoon. Midday is a bit toasty in summer.

Giovanni, if you’re reading this, thank you for one of the most memorable days of our lives... and for teaching us more Italian along the way.

Absolutely fabulous hike with Marco. He is such a wonderful guide with so many insights along the way that it made our hike very special. We were hiking with 2 kids, 9 and 10 years old, and he took special care on their safety and helped my little girl along all the way, answering every silly question she had - LOL. The views were just breathtaking.

I was considering doing this hike without a guide, but after this experience, I highly highly recommend taking a guided hike to make for a memorable experience for your group. One of the highlights of our trip. Thank you Marco!

We were two 70+ year old non hikers, and Enzo was an exceptional guide. He was very knowledgeable about the path, was concerned for our safety in various parts of the hike, and aided in traversing the most difficult sections.
If you take the hike, ask for Enzo. He will keep you safe and make the hike enjoyable.

We did a private hiking tour of the Path of the Gods and the organisation was great from start to finish.
They answered every question, were very flexible with the timing changes, arranged transportation, etc.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company, especially if you want to feel like you are actually on holiday and not have to worry about all the practicalities of getting to the hike.

Book this trip now with Marco if possible. Marco was an incredible guide. It was just us which was a pleasant surprise as we thought it would be a large group. He is a sincere and genuine person with so much knowledge and passion about what he does and his local community. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Marco. He shared the history of Path of the Gods, showed us a variety of herbs, talked about local traditions, gave us time for photos and so much more. The views AND our time with Marco was equally memorable. Grazie Marco! You will very much enjoy this beautiful experience!

Beautiful experience!!!! Thanks to the Great Mrs. Tommasina who followed us step by step to organize the tour from the first to the last day and the talented Marco Marotta who accompanied us along the way, making us spend a beautiful day. Marco, welcomed us from the square of Bomerano (Agerola) and, with expert advice, showed us where to get something to eat before embarking on the path. Along the way he showed us breathtaking landscapes, indicated stories and customs of the place, made us know more about the whole route, made a little break from the shepherd Antonio and finally, taken to Nocelle, where he showed us the way to take the bus to get to Positano and then continue to Amalfi and back up to Agerola. Great guy, very prepared, very nice, great communicator and certainly excellent company, with him we made a spectacular trip!! I STRONGLY recommend calling Cartotrekking for excursions on the Amalfi coast, also because honestly, the value for money is great, you do the trails knowing many nuances, safely and always in good company and sympathy. A BIG THANK YOU then to all the excellent organization and seriousness of CARTOTREKKING!!!

The tout started from Bomerano bus stop to Positano with Marco, my private tour guide for the hike.
He was very knowledgeable with the course, history, plants and animals, food and had walked the trail with checking out its safety sometimes even if navigate.

The tour (Path of the God) goes almost 6 miles (10 kilometers) hike and necessary at least trekking shoes.
Usually it takes almost one day for the ordinary Amalfi tour (going to Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello) and can see beautiful scenery, but it is possible to see lots of fantastic scenery only 2.5-hour tours.
If anyone can speak English and can hike this distance (10 kilometers) I strongly recommend this tour.

Vince was an absolutely phenomenal tour guide for our hike on the Path of the Gods! He shared many interesting stories along the way and he took us to great places for photos and even served as our photographer! At the end of the hike, he went out of his way to make sure we got on a bus going down into Positano which would have been tricky for us to navigate on our own. Vince made it a great day!
