- 967jacim0 contributionsPasta making in Alberobello! My husband and I were excited to attend our first ever cooking class in Italy. We are so pleased we were able to have Lucrezia as our instructor. Her husband was also there helping and the two of them were very pleasant. Lucrezia was patient and kind and made us feel like pro’s! The food, from the start was amazing, the presentation of the appetizers to the two pasta dishes were restaurant quality. I would highly recommend this class to anyone and would most definitely take it again! Thank you Lucrezia!!Written 18 October 2023
- WorldTravelerML0 contributionsScam! Do not book thisScam! We signed up for a "Market Tour and Cooking Class in Alberobello". Cesarine sent the address to meet, and it was a different location in Martina Franca, 20 minutes away from Alberobello and the woman said no, there is no market tour. Cesarine has refused to return our money and has not given an explanation as to why they will not refund our money. We paid 238 euro for a market tour and cooking class and we got neither of them.Written 19 September 2023
- SJJS G0 contributionsMarvellous market dayThursday is market day in Alberobello so we were lucky to be able to examine taste and choose a variety of fresh produce that our delightful host Maria magically helped us turn into an authentic local feast in her charmingly trullo - even if our own pitiful attempts to emulate her orecchiette-making skills leave plenty of room for improvement!Written 9 July 2023
- C6761MMscottb0 contributionsIf you book nothing else....BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE!Grazie Mille to Maria and Nino! Beautiful home and delicious food. It was like having dinner with my grandparents when I was a kid. If you book nothing else....BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE!Written 12 June 2023
- Keren O0 contributionsIt was like having your own Nonna for an afternoon. This was such a unique and wonderful experience. You are invited into Maria's home which is an trulli built in the 14th century. The setting is amazing, but Maria is even better. She, and her young translator, took us to a small store (not a outdoor market) to select the cheeses we would use in the meal. We then went back to her home, where her husband was in the door greeting the tourist that come to take pictures of their stunning home. In her kitchen, she showed us how to make her amazing sauce, focaccia (traditional and onion) and panzerotti then taught us how to make orecchiette and tiramisu. We ended having an amazing meal. I think it is important to stress you are in someone's home. You meet her husband and neighbors stop by. It is a truly authentic experience. For an afternoon, you are part of her family and it is joyous.Written 2 August 2022
- W9827HMjoem0 contributionsAuthentic Alberobello experience!Maria's Alberobello street food tour was fabulous! Maria is one of only eight families that still live in the Trulli, so the experience you get with her is very authentic. We visited the best spots for panini, cheeses, pasta, produce, and meats - then, to finish, Maria invited us into her home (an authentic trullo) for dessert and limoncello. Communication was a little challenging, but it gave us an opportunity to practice our Italian!Written 10 May 2022
- ItalyTravelers20190 contributionsA Treasured Memory of Italy VacationBeing invited into a lovely home in Alberobello to work with Ceserina Maria. Learned how to make two pastas Ravioli and Orchietti, and Tiramisu then got to eat all this delicious food. A selection of appetizers and aperitif welcomed our arrival. A very memorable evening!Written 12 April 2022
