We stopped here while in Cheyenne and glad we did. The building seems to be on a rodeo or fairgrounds but is very clean. The inside rooms are full of memorabilia from the Cheyenne Days events and the people associated with the celebration. The various wagons and coaches are meticulously refurbished and their display is great. This is a great way to learn about Cheyenne Days.

This is a wonderful museum that depicts the Wild Wild West and its allure that attracts thousands of visitors every year. From the railroads to the cowboys and Indians to the big boots out front, this place has it all.

What a fantastic museum. Very clean and spacious with super friendly and informative staff. The exhibits were great as well as the cards explaining what you were looking at and how the museum got the exhibits. Gift shop was pri ey on some items but no different than anywhere else. Well worth the stop!!

After our visit, I feel a lot more knowledgeable about the west. They have a nice mix of displays, movies, and interactive.

We went primarily for the Western art show, which was fabulous. They usually host the art show in conjunction with Cheyenne Frontier Days, as I understand it. Since we had paid the admission, we also toured the museum. If you've attended Frontier Days (and even if you haven't), the displays are interesting. It is all very well done, with a lot to see and learn.

Small museum with some interesting history. We are a family of 5, and it cost $48. A bit pricey for the size. The main room was for their annual art sale. Although impressive, we weren't interested in buying anything and has nothing to do with the central theme of the museum. If you are interested in purchasing art, this is certainly the place and time to go. The children's area is outdated and simple. On the dry erase board, the only activity listed was from about 6 weeks ago. This space could be renovated to be a great children's area. I would recommend looking into what other museums have done to capitalize on this market. We were in the museum for just over an hour. Everything was clean and all staff were amazingly friendly.

A bit disappointing. We thought “the Frontier Days” would be a museum of the old western frontier days. It was mainly about modern day cowboys on bucking horses and bulls. Very little else. However they are renovating and upgrading so a lot was closed off or empty. And they gave us reduced price entry tickets

What a great place to visit. We really enjoyed walking thru and seeing all the coaches and wagons. Very informative. I also believe it was an advertisement for the Cheyenne Frontier Days which are held annually. The film about was very well done.

Visited to have something to do while in Cheyenne. The rodeo videos were the highlight. Wagons and coaches were somewhat interesting. OK if into rodeo...otherwise take the time to do something else. Overpriced admission fee.

It was a little pricey, but pretty interesting. I know nothing about rodeos, but the videos brought it to life for me. All of the carriages were interesting also.

The history in this museum is a must visit if you are in Cheyenne. The rodeo is an incredible event and the museum covers the entire history of the rodeo.

We thoroughly enjoyed this museum....almost all have been restored o their original beauty...everyone there was very informative

My husband & I recently visited this site during a day we spent in Cheyenne to learn about frontier life and WY settlement. Since we were in Cheyenne during a non-rodeo time of the year, it was easy to visit here, with plentiful free onsite parking and uncrowded galleries. We enjoyed the exhibits here very much—such great cowboy and ranching displays! Being from the east coast, neither of us are rodeo fans, but the museum’s contents were still very interesting to us. Most impressive to us history buffs is their collection of historic 19th century vehicles, i.e. wagons, carriages, stage coaches, etc. We have toured many museums containing classic automobiles and even historic vehicles like those on display here, but this site had some unique and interesting ones. (We appreciated the friendly staff member who took our photo in the Cheyenne FD carriage.) Also impressive is the art work here—not only many bronze statues but a collection of paintings of western scenes created by some very talented artists. All in all, we spent just under an hour here, viewing the nice exhibits; it was time well spent!

I'm not a huge rodeo fan, but the history here is really impressive. They have great displays and history of rodeo, plus a ton of old carriages, some restored and some in original condition.
