This tour was amazing. Our guide never stopped talking and gave us detailed information on all we were seeing and doing. It felt like I really got to know the history and local lifestyles on Maui! Highly recommend paying to do a Hana tour.

Huge thanks to Brendan for being a great guide. Thanks to the owner Doug, we got upgraded to a private tour and we are very appreciative as this was one of the highlights of our honeymoon in Maui. Brendan was so humble, knowledgeable and just downright kind. He really cares about the impression Maui leaves on visitors and his passion for his work really shows through the experience he provides and the stories and history he shares on this tour. We were provided a light breakfast, lunch and drinks, along with a takeaway bag with some key essentials. We saw many incredible viewpoints, swam at a waterfall, stopped at some cool local shops and the turtles at Ho’okipa Beach were the cherry on top. If we return to Maui, we’ll definitely be reaching out to Hawaiian Style Tours and specifically Brendan for more excursions!

Brandon was very professional, knowledgeable, and kind! I love the face that Hawaiian Style is a small business run by a native Hawaiian family. The stops and views were wonderful.

Not enough space to express how great this crew is. Brandon our tour guide was amazing. Kept up laughing and learning the whole time. Made us feel like locals after all the info we soaked up. The breakfast and lunch they got us was top notch and the stops along the way were something I've only seen on TV. Lastly Doug the owner is the man! Aways happy and humble. Made me and my wife really feel like OHANA! I cant recommend this company enough you will have an amazing time and we will definitely be back!! Thanks again Doug and team!!

Unfortunately, the road from Hana around to the west was closed for construction so we just did a round trip on the main Hana Rd. Doug was a fantastic guide. He grew up on road and shared a lot of his experiences. He also attended high school at the Kamehameha school in Honolulu where he was immersed in Hawaiian history and culture which he shared with us. The stops were great, the lunch was tasty. We had a great day.

There was not much luxury involved. We were stuck in the back of a van with uncomfortable wheel wells. The breakfast consisted of a piece of bread and a piece of pineapple. Lunch was good. Driver was knowledgeable. It would have been better to rent a car and do it alone. Only advantage was hearing some history from the driver but other passengers made it not as enjoyable because they wouldn’t shut up. Heard a lot about the wealth of the owner. So glad I could contribute to his wealth.

I am not sure if my expectations were wrong, but disappointed especially for the cost. Use this as you see appropriate. 1. 11 adults is tight. You either cram 4 in the back row. Or the single rider is barely able to see. 2. Signed up for full circle. Got a down and back. Big hype about Hona.. and we drove through it. We selected your company based on our conversation with you about the tour. 3. Saw the sights but with the expectation of 4 stops including lunch .. they were drive bys and picture opportunities were limited or from the inside of the van window. 4. Lunch: Fried fish prepared in advance was disappointing. Soggy.Worst meal We’ve had on any excursion 5. When you called, if we switched it sound like you were going to be our driver. Positives. Van was nice and clean. Brandon was an excellent driver and enjoyed the conversation. With thw exception of lunch stop, we enjoyed the stops, limited. Melissa is passionate.. but talks a lot, sometimes in circles.. she can make a long trip longer.

It was an amazing luxury full circle road to Hana tour with Hawaiian Style Tours and Transportation. We didn't have to worry about driving we could enjoy the view. Had some amazing stops to see waterfall and swim. Had lunch in a nice little town and the food they provide was great. Gave us a lot of good information on the drive too. The cold coffee was the best.

As is always the case, the level of satisfaction with any tour begins and ends with the guide. Everett was excellent!! A local, born and raised in Maui, his knowledge of the history and culture was wonderful. The “reverse loop” of the tour was exciting and so much more informative than just doing the Road to Hana and back. A truly remarkable day and money well spent. Highly recommended.

My family and I have driven the road to Hana many times. (Well my hubby drives it and we all get to admire everything!) But this time it was just me and my best friend who had never been to Maui. Because I was afraid to drive it, we went with this company and I’m so glad we did! Everett made the day! He was so knowledgeable, so patient and so kind. It was great going backwards because you miss all the traffic. There were 9 of us total and my friend gets very car sick. But she took Dramamine before the trip, rode in the first bench in the back of the van in the middle seat so she could see straight out. She did great! Mahalo to Everett for a great day!

We were debating on driving the road, or being driven. We defiantly made the right choice. Not only did our experienced driver handle that road with ease, we went up the back way. So we literally started off going in the direction that is closed to most. We saw more and did more than would have been possible if we drove. We also were going in opposite direct of traffic all day. Our driver was extremely knowledgeable about Maui History, and the road. He talked the entire trip about the History of Maui. They brought us lunch, snacks, water it was a great experience!

This tour was one of the best I’ve been on…Everett was knowledgeable & friendly. Views were stunning Highly recommend

My family and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Doug, our driver, tour guide and owner of this company is great. He is friendly, personable, full of knowledge of this area. I am most impressed that he knows the road so well he can tell us what tree is in the next curve. We also like visiting his parents’ ranch to see how the locals live. Bonus:The tiny snack shop in front of the ranch hasTHE BEST banana bread I’ve ever eaten!

Picked up right on-time by Everett at 6am in the Napili Bay area of Maui. He was communicative all day and had incredible stories to share with the area's history, and wow, he knew all his plants and trees too! We were so glad Everett drove and that the van shared their Dramamine with me. Our day ended about 4:30pm. Started off with some water, cold brew coffee, and a croissant with fresh pineapple. I'd like to see more protein included in the breakfast next time. I think there was a total of 9 us in the van, and everyone was celebrating big wedding anniversaries. That was a fun commonality. This was a splurge for us, but we decided it was well worth the money since we were given an all day excursion, with food (fish plate was good and the mac/potato salad was excellent with our lunch), and travel. We each received a goodie bag, and stopped to see Doug's families place with the puppies. Nice personal touch! I tried the infamous Banana Bread Sundae - it is plenty to share. I think our favorite part of the trip was swimming off the black sand beach, seeing the turtles at an unscheduled stop, and just knowing that Everett was taking care of everything - we didn't have to think or figure it out. That's what vacation is all about! This 'reverse' tour is the BEST way to see the road to Hana. I know I saw parts of the island I'd never seen before, and probably won't see again. Tip: Just wear your swimsuit and a cover-up. We wore our tennis shoes for hiking around, and then had water shoes for swimming. We brought towels but I think there were towels available too.
