    What to Expect
Your tour begins with pickup in the very early morning from hotels in the Maui resort areas such as Wailea, Kaanapali, and Kapalua for the drive up to our office/baseyard where we will start you off with a hot or cold beverage and a snack.
From our Office, we will transport you to the 6,500' level and your tour guide will provide you with the history of Haleakala, its geology, and the rare plants and animals found only on Maui. Watch the predawn colors from this location, and then you'll be fitted with a bicycle and helmet to start your guided bike ride.
Pedal downhill, riding along switchbacks, through Haleakala Ranch, and past Kula. Continue through the towns of Makawao and Paia, and finally reach the Pacific coast at Paia Bay Beach Park.

We opted for a pre-dawn tour, with a pickup from our hotel in Lahaina. After a 45 minute ride to the office, we picked up two more attendees and the bikes before heading up to Haleakala. The crew provided helmets and warm jackets, but I...More

This being our first trip to Maui, my husband and I were told that seeing Hikaelala was a must. After researching various groups, my husband chose Mountain Riders. We were told that, yes, we would see the sunrise during the pre-dawn tour. The term “pre-dawn”...More

This experience is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we will never forget. In spite of the early morning pick up (2:15 a.m.) and the freezing cold temperatures at the top of the mountain, we all agree it was a highlight of our trip to Maui. I...More

It may have been easier to forgive the bad aspects of this tour if it had not rained the entire trip. In summary, a professional operation would make sure correct pick up times were communicated to guests. We were told about the meaning of “Aloha”...More
