A Perfect Day Out
Oct 2021 • Solo
I took this trip as I wanted to see both attractions but didn't trust my knee injury enough to do them on my own. I'd done the company's Yosemite trip on a prior visit so was already familiar with the company.

Roman, our engaging and well versed guide, picked everyone up in good time and we were soon heading across the Golden Gate Bridge on a beautiful sunny morning.

First stop was Muir Woods. It was early enough to be blissfully and wonderfully quiet, allowing time to explore the grandeur of the trees. I could hear birds chirping, as well as the faint overhead whoosh of a passing jet, that's how blissfully silent it was.

Our next stop was a beautiful vineyard over the county line in Napa, where we sampled three lovely wines and learned about the harvest (it had just happened, so no grapes to see) and production of wine. The setting was picture perfect.

Then we were off to Sonoma, and a stop at Sonoma Square for a lunch break. Meals were at our option, so I wandered over to the Sausage Emporium for a quick bite, then had a look at the historic mission and its surroundings.

Two more wineries awaited after lunch, and each had a flight if three wines to sample. Optional extra tastings we're available if so desired.

We began our journey back to the city as the weather started changing (rain was forecast for that evening). Roman stopped at a very local produce stand, where we could buy some local goodies (the plums were tasty and fresh).

On the final approach into the city, Roman room us up to the Marin Headlands, where breathtaking (if windy!) and stunning, up close views of the Golden Gate were on display.

All in all, a good day out with a very cool guide that kept us entertained.

Some other notes:

The road to Muir Woods is twisty, if you're prone to motion sickness, dose up accordingly (my tour group was fine, but others may not be).

There's a $15 entry fee to Muir Woods.

Lunch at Sonoma Square is at your own expense, but there's a wide variety of eateries to choose from, offering good good at all price points.

If you're short on time, this is a good introduction to the wine country. Hopefully, you'll want to return some day soon!

What a day!
We had an amazing time on this tour. Our tour guide, Kimmy, kept us entertained all day long. We had our two kids with us (6 and 7 years old) and even they had fun. The amount of time spent at each stop was just right and the day honestly flew by. Thank you so much for this great memory! P.S. we loved the dong selections! DJ Kimmy was on point!

Best trip in area!
Oct 2021 • Couples
The trip was great on its own, but Roman made the trip amazing! His wit, humor, and information about the areas we visited made it better than if we had just driven ourselves to all of the same places. We felt like we had enough time at each location to get a great experience and enjoyed the humor and insights that prepared us for each stop along the way. I highly recommend this trip and company for anyone wanting to get an experience of the areas just outside of the city!

Excellent tour and guide!
Aug 2021 • Friends
This was such a well-planned tour hitting Muir Woods and three wineries. Our guide was Jason, along with his dog Yoda, and he was very knowledgeable and funny. The tour buses are the smaller ones, not coach size, which is nice. The pickup location was right around the corner from our hotel at Fisherman’s Wharf, so this was very convenient. The wineries on the tour were more of the boutique type, so no large crowds there. We went to Mayo, Kieu Hoang, and Trek., which were all really good. Last stop on the way home was for a photo opp at the Golden Gate Bridge. Definitely one of the tops tours we’ve ever taken and money well spent. The tour was right on time all day.

During September 2021, I went on the Muir Woods and Wine Country tour. This trip was great. The tour guide was professional. We were provided ample and sufficient time at each stop to enjoy the wine tastings. Each tasting offered at least 3 wine varieties. The narration was good and shared information about Sonoma and Napa Valley. There was also a stop in Marin/ Sausalito that provides a great view of Golden Gate bridge and the SF Bay area. The tour is very good and worth the price!

Good Trip
We were picked up near our hotel. The itinerary said we'd go to Golden Gate Bridge first but that was not the case. Usually I do not mind change in plans but in the morning, the Golden Gate Bridge had clear skies (no fog) and we ended up going at the very end (and by this time the sky was full of fog with no clear view of the Golden Gate). I was disappointed specially if it made more sense to stop at the Golden Gate in the morning when the skies were clear (as stated in our itinerary). Our tour guide Roman was funny but the tour felt kinda rushed. My friend and I enjoyed going to the Muir woods and seeing some of the Napa Valley /Sonoma views. It's definitely something to try if you've never done it. Overall we had a good time.

Fantastic Guide
Roman was wonderful and funny. Kept everyone on time and shared his vast knowledge of the region. The time in Muir Woods was magical and the three wineries were fun. The highlight for me was the stop in the Marin Headlands for the view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
