Overview
Running along the Pacific coastline in California, Highway 1’s route involves plenty of twists and turns. Rather than dealing with the stress of driving it on your own, take this Monterey and Carmel tour that allows you to keep your eyes on the spectacular views. It includes round-trip transportation from San Francisco, and you can even add an optional admission ticket to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
What to Expect
Start your guided tour to Monterey with a pickup from Union Square in San Francisco. Once you board your vehicle for the day, relax on the drive.

Your guide takes you down the California coast for views of the Pacific Ocean and beachside mansions. Your first stop is in Monterey where you’ll have about two hours of free time to stroll Cannery Row. You can also add on an admission ticket to Monterey Bay Aquarium when booking for an additional upgrade fee.

Afterward, it’s on to Carmel-by-the-Sea for some more free time before the drive back to San Francisco.

Great Variety

Driver was pleasant and informative and the tour provided a great sampler of the California coastline from San Francisco to Carmel. Of course I wish some of the stops were longer but I'm happy I could see so many beautiful places in one day.

Great tour guide

Spent the day with Kenneth on a tour through Monterey 17 mile drive and Carmel. He was informative, friendly and professional despite having another passenger who was quite whiny. It was a fabulous day and would highly recommend it.

Golfer's Paradise

See 3 of the world's greatest golf layouts on one stretch of fantastic ocean beachfront. If golf is of no interest to you, the scenery and housing is still unmatched. Cannery Row in Monterey is also a "don't miss" attraction.

Hi, I would check with Greyline, the coach picked us up from The Vertigo Hotel, so they may pick up from other hotels. There is a drop down option on the booking form online as well to see.

Hi, It takes about 12 hours all in. It was fantastic! It doesn’t seem that long as you have stops on the way, so it is very interedting. I would do it all over again if I could! Well worth the money.
