Overview
Getting over to the Napa Valley from San Francisco can be a big undertaking—especially if you want to drink wine while you’re in Napa. This Napa Valley Wine Train tour provides round-trip transport, so you can feel safe and concentrate on which wines you like best. Along with a guided winery tour and wine tastings, this tour also includes coffee, tea, water, and a 3-course lunch on board the train.
What to Expect
This Napa Valley Wine Train tour meets at the San Francisco Ferry Building. If it’s a weekday, you’ll take the ferry over to Vallejo, but if it’s a weekend you’ll take a bus there.

Once in Vallejo, hop aboard a shuttle for the drive over to Napa.

In Napa, you’ll board the Napa Valley Wine Train, and enjoy great views of the area, as well as a 3-course lunch accompanied by water, coffee, and tea.

Depending on which option you chose at checkout, you’ll either visit Grgich Hills Estate, Charles Krug Winery, or Raymond Vineyards for a winery tour and wine tasting.

After your day, return to San Francisco the same way you came.

This trip wasted my limited time in Napa

If you do the train, you must sign up for one of the longer tours like the Estate tour or the Familia tour. Because of the price, I choose to stop at only one winery and have lunch on the train and it seemed I...More

Great experience and relaxed day of activity.

The guides on the pickup bus from the Vallejo ferry, the bus transfer to Raymond Winery, the wine tasting/Raymond winery guide and the waiter/guide on the Napa Wine train lunch back to Napa were all excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. This made for a great experience....More

Not worth the pricey cost

We booked the NVWT Legacy Tour at the recommendation of the NVWT receptionist. She said this was the best tour. Well for $339 per person I expected much, much more. It was a 6 hour long train ride and I mean long, at a snails...More

They may do! Best way is to look through the Napa Wine train web site. There are a number of options for the train and vineyard visits and there will be a section on discounts.

Yes they would. This is a turn of the century steam engine train enjoyed by historic figures that they would have read about. The decor is authentic, refurbished as it was. It's absolutely cool.
