The Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River is heavy on scenery, with some fun rapids (depending on the water level/time of year). This is an area where many motion pictures and commercials have been filmed over the years. John Wayne and John Ford filmed a lot of old westerns in this area. Most recently filmed in this area was The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp & Armie Hammer (2013). For this tour you will need to meet at our office (unless a hotel/campground pick up has been arranged). At 378 North Main St. (right next door to the Comfort Suites). From out office we will transport you up Hwy 128 (Top 10 most scenic highways in America) to Rocky Rapid (about mile 17). This will take 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic and other circumstances. Once at Rocky Rapid, your guide will go over some river safety instructions, once everything has been covered you will board the raft. Unless you have requested a paddle boat, your guide will be doing all the rowing, so you get to sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery. As you make your way down the river to Take-Out Beach, and your departure point for the Afternoon Half Day tour, your guide will provide you with archeology, geology, and river history. Your guide will also point out various land marks and answer any questions you may have on your journey. Once the raft reaches the take out point at Take-Out Beach, you will disembark from the raft. The guides will then need to load the boats and equipment back up on the trailer, then you will be able to load back up on our shuttle vehicle, and we will bring you back to our office in Moab, concluding your adventure. The drive back from Take-Out Beach could take 30 or more minutes. This is a calm water trip, with small rapids, class 1 & 2. Depending on water levels there is the chance for a class 3 rapid on this section. The rafts are set up where the guide will be doing all the rowing. Paddle boats (where everyone paddles) are an option upon request (24 hour advance notice required).

Awesome way to see both Arches and Canyonland National parks
We took an all day 4x4 2 park/back country guided tour. And it was amazing. Mike was our tour guide and we could not have asked for better! He was very knowledgeable and just a great guy to hang with for the day. And we start way more than we ever would have on our own. I would definitely recommend this tour! Thanks, Mike for an amazing day! Gary & Brenda Rasnake

Great tour and fun in Arches
We had a wonderful time! Ric was so friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. Ric tried accommodate our requests to see certain areas of Arches. We had told him that we could only short distances. He made sure to get us as close as possible for great photos. He helped us look for animal tracks, and explained dinosaur tracks. He was so easy to talk with- like a good friend showing you his hometown. Thanks Ric!

      RIC!
We should have known that it was going to be a spectacular day when we all realized that our car's (also a Jeep) license plate coincidentally had the letters "RIC" the same as our Moab's Jeep tour guide's name: Ric! Ric was very knowledgeable about the area, but instead of spewing facts at us, we were able to have a relaxed friendly conversation. Ric has a great sense of humor which added to the days fun! It was a memorable day and we would highly recommend Ric Otero!

      Totally enjoyed this adventure!
Our guide, Mark, was excellent. He was welcoming and friendly. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the park, the geological formation of the terrain, and the backstory of many aspects of the park. The vehicle was spotless and had modern electronic hookups. We had limited time to see the park, and this tour was perfect for us in that we felt it was a thorough overview, and we didn't feel like we missed anything. We would do it again.
We did 3 tours with Adrift; The Needles full day, the White Rim full day and the Arches half day tours. We had the same guide, Bill, for all 3 and we appreciated that. He was a fabulous guide and we enjoyed every minute. The tours were well organized and he was always ready on time. He shared lots of interesting stories about the area. We saw so many things that we would not have seen if we had just used our own vehicle.

Jeep tour of Arches National Park
We had an amazing day with Mark as our guide through the rough but gorgeous terrain. Mark was knowledgeable, courteous and attentive to every person's needs. I would highly recommend the tour. There were 3 Jeeps carrying no more than 4 passengers to a jeep. We were able to do a little hiking for an up close and personal view of various arches and canyons, learned about the flora and fauna, and took amazing photos.

Our Guide Claire was the best: she was paddling against the hot thermal wind all by herself (passengers do not have paddles on these boats, just the guide). We recommend this trip to people who want to enjoy the scenery of the steep canyon walls and take a refreshing swim in the Colorado river. The river current in this area is very calm, no dangerous passages, really a relaxing exursion on the river (basic grade of river raft, no previous experience needed). Many thanks!

We did a half day with our family of 6 (children ages 11-15). Our guide was Laura and she and her partner guide in the other boat (Liz) were fabulous.

A nice lunch on the shore was included, and the company was clear about river conditions up front so we knew exactly what to expect. The team that checked us in and drove us out to the river we’re equally impressive and informative. We strongly recommend this company for a fun and relaxing time on the water- and they were very fairly priced too!

We couldn’t of asked for nicer weather. The river was running high and fast and our guide Claire was very good at paddling us down the rapids. There was 13 of our family on two rafts. Took a lot of pictures and had a very enjoyable experience.

An amazing excursion and experience! We booked an afternoon Colorado river rafting trip with Adrift Adventures and couldn’t recommend it more. Our guide, Strom, was personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. He spent time explaining the history and landscape along the trip, and ensured everyone on the trip was well taken care of. Lunch was included in the afternoon trip and was a great addition at the halfway point of the trip. At many points along the trip, swimming/floating in the river was permitted. Bus transportation was included to and from the site. Adrift adventures is centrally located along Main Street in Moab, walking distance from some hotels. A great experience!

Fantastic trip! Kelli, our raft guide, did an excellent job handling the raft, she was super knowledgeable about the geology and history of the area and had great stories and jokes. She kept everyone engaged the entire time.
The lunch provided was great for selection and quantity.

We did a half-day rafting trip as a family (2 adults, and kids ages 13 & 9). Tyler was our guide and he was great! He pointed out various rock formations, told stories about various points we were seeing, and was great with the kids. Our son loved the opportunity to swim in the Colorado River, we enjoyed the beach lunch, and appreciated the care Matt & Tyler took to make everyone feel safe both on the river, and while having lunch during these COVID times. Would highly recommend this outfitter to others. Thanks for a great experience!

We had a fantastic day with Adrift Adventures! All of us, from my 5 and 8 year olds, up to my 60 year old mother in law had a blast. The guides really made the experience. Ethan made even the safety lecture and bus ride entertaining, Matt kept our time on the water fun with jokes and riddles for the kids and geology and local current events for the adults. The “rapids” were quite mild, but we still had a fantastic time jumping in the water, splashing other boats, and floating down the river. The guides even allowed the kids to give rowing a shot. They went above and beyond, even handing out ice water on the bus ride home. The lunch was delicious and plentiful- the guide happily made my son a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The whole trip felt very safe. The guides wore masks on the bus, used gloves and followed strict protocols while serving lunch. We will remember this trip for years to come! Thank you so much to Ethan, Matt, and Rose for a fun day on the river!

Amazing time with family. Our guide Cole was the highlight of the trip with all of the amazing stories and facts he told as he navigated the raft down the Colorado. He was very friendly and impressed us with his expertise captaining. All of the staff were great people including our bus driver Roger. The water was mild so we had fun getting out to swim at points and it was surely a great deal with the included picnic lunch on a beach along the river.

If you are looking for a relaxing boat ride down the river at 1 mph, this is for you. For us, we were expecting a fun rafting on rapids and were disappointed. The guide worked hard rowing the boat, but it simply was not entertaining for us. Spent precious 4.5 hours on this activity that we could’ve spent doing something else.

After we got off the boat, we had to wait ~30min to get back on the bus, since all the guides and equipment were returning on the same bus. And why is online price $76 when the brochure says $60? Paid ~$45 more for 3 ppl for paying online in advance. Wouldn’t recommend.

Experienced and informative guide, Liza new almost all of the answers to the questions asked. To me this is important when you are using a guide for a visit to an area. If I am visiting an area I like to learn something about it. Liza was very good at this and her job as captain of the boat. She followed safety protocol went above and beyond when our life vests were properly fitted as the original person that fitted us did not check all the straps.
She noticed one I'll fitting right away and checked us all. Great job in my book, as there is nothing worse than an improper fitted jacket.
A wonderful trip I would recommend it to all young and old!
