Amazing experience we learned so much!
I felt safe the whole time and our guide Sean did an amazing job explaining everything in a way that made sense and was easy to remember. We went to Wall Street and climbed there after going through an extensive lesson on anchoring and outdoor climbing as a whole. If you’re a gym climber or looking to get into outdoor climbing I’d recommend doing 2 days with Sean it is worth it.

        Four Exciting Rapells!!!
We spontaneously booked Bow and Arrow canyoneering with Moab Canyon Tours the night before in the off season. They made it happen and Sean was our guide. Sean was knowledagble and fun to hang around with. We did four awesome rappells while brushing up on our skills in rapelling and anchors. We learned the magic of the fiddlestick. A great afternoon outing. Highly recommend it

        Fabulous adventure!
What an amazing adventure with Gabe!!! He was so patient, friendly, funny, and knowledgeable of the terrain because it just rained and he had to find an alternative route from a slightly flooded area. We loved that he was all about safety first and we also had a 9 year-old first timer with us. We highly recommend him to everyone!

Amazing time, great guide. Perfect beginner route with some easy and more intense repels. They picked us up at our hotel and took us to the trailhead. Would highly recommend this for anyone looking for adventure.

Amazing day in the canyon with a great guide
We had an extraordinary day with our guy, Sean Roberts. His skill, knowledge and enthusiasm were a treat. I felt very safe. He tailored the experience to be challenging, but not overwhelming . Heat to dust to do moves we didn’t know we would be able to do. He shared information of the geography and geology. I enjoyed his upbeat, positive Personality. The Non-safety gear seemed a bit worn (Backpacks and kneepads). The safety gear was in Top shape. We were in the Irish canyon. We did the standard approach to Blarney Left. We learned about various stemming techniques such as the knee bar, butt stem, and elevator shaft.

        Introduction to rock climbing tour
My guide, Sean, was amazing! I took the half day Introduction to climbing tour. He was very knowledgeable, was very detailed, great at instruction, and of course very safe. He was able to pick perfect routes for me based on the amount of experience I provided to him. He was also very encouraging and very detailed in his instruction. I highly recommend!!!

Amazing!! Sean was an excellent, safe, and friendly guide putting all of us (7 and 9 year old) at ease! It was the highlight of our Moab trip! Highly recommend! Cable arch had the best of everything - up climb with epic views, rappelling next to an arch, slot canyons and all the scrambling you could ever want!

        Irish slot canyon hike
Moab Canyon Tours was awesome! They accomodated our needs and went at a pace that was suited to out ability. Our guide was flexible and took us into canyons that we could do and still gave us the challenge and thrill of slot canyon hiking. The offered a private tour for my daughter and myself.

Amazing Canyoneering and Rock Climbing in Moab with Sean
My husband and our two kids ages 13 and 14 did two climbing/canyoneering tours with Sean this past week and can’t say enough about what an awesome experience it was. The first was a climb and rappel of Looking Glass Arch and the second was Entrajo Canyon. They were very different but both were amazing. My kids preferred Looking Glass Arch for the rock climbing aspects and my husband and I preferred Entrajo for the hiking, slot canyons, potholes with water, and everything in between. Sean was terrific- totally knowledgeable about climbing, the environment, and area. He was also good at explaining everything and instilling confidence for the trickier parts. I highly recommend this outfitter and Sean if you’re able to book him.

We went on the full day tour out to Hanksville in the Irish Canyons. Sean picked us up from our hotel, drove us out and back and it was extremely worth it. Sean was extremely knowledgeable about everything from the landscape, the mountains, the slots, the area, the plants and animals, etc. He thought us how to safely go up the canyons and then down into the slots. I felt very comfortable following his lead all day. From going through slots that aren’t much wider than my chest to descending safely down 15-20 foot drops with no ropes using the elevator “move” to repelling down 50 foot drops it was fantastic. A must do even if you don’t like heights or are semi claustrophobic.

Loved it!!!!’ Kate was stinking awesome!!! I am 53. Neither my daughter or myself have ever been canyoneering. Kate was informative on the basics of rappelling and very safety conscience. What I liked best is that Kate let us choose our own difficulty level and catered to it. If you like hiking and have never repelled before, we highly recommend this 10 hr day trip. It was scarier watching Kate demonstrate how to repel with her back to the cliff than it was actually repelling yourself.

My wife and I are 60 years old and have never done Canyoneering before. Our guide, James, did an outstanding job of getting to know us through conversation on the way to the canyon by understanding our experiences, what we liked and how adventurous we are. He gave us 2 options for our day's tour and we chose the one with more repelling and what he thought would be a bit more challenging. James was a great coach and guiding us through the repelling challenging step by step and gave us confidence in what we were doing. The scenery was incredible and the challenges were achievable without creating anxiety on our part. A great trip that we would definitely do again. James was also a really knowledgeable resource and very enjoyable to talk to. He gave us a great suggestion for another canyon hike which we did and was fantastic. James really made our experience a memorable one!

This was such a fantastic experience! Adam was our guide and his knowledge and respect for the area made the trip most enjoyable!

My husband and I are in better than average shape in our 40s. Neither of us has had much experience with trips like this, with the exception of me doing outward bound many years ago, and my husband and I have both rappelled before but not to this extent. While this was a challenging trip, the sense of accomplishment was fantastic! We both did things by the end of the trip we would never have imagined at the beginning.

Adam took into consideration our fitness level and willingness to push our limits. We started on the “intermediate” canyon, and he brought us back through the most advanced as we were willing and able. And for us it was totally worth it!

We were glad to have pants and long sleeves, even though it got a little warm at the end, they helped protect us from major scratches. With all that we did, the fact we came out with just a few small scratches and bruises is impressive.

There were some very tight spaces, and the technical parts were a challenge. We loved every minute of it and would not hesitate to go again!

The company itself was easy to book, they reached out when they said they would, and every part of the trip went smoothly. Adam even wore and asked us to wear masks in the vehicle as he drove us to site. Which I appreciate very much.

If you are up for adventure and want to push your limits, I highly recommend this trip! But know they can accommodate those less adventurous too.

We had a fantastic day hiking the slot canyons with Adam F. In the words of my 16 year old, “Woah! I did not expect this! I didn’t even know something like this was possible. It was so cool! 12/10 I would recommend, 100%! That Adam guy totally rocks.”

Adam did a fabulous job keeping our group of people ages 12-46 years old engaged, challenged and safe. Adam is professional, contentious and an excellent canyoneering guide who is both approachable and laid back. At one point my 12 year old found himself wedged more tightly in the canyon than he was ok with while Adam was helping the rest of our group finish a repel. Quick as a mountain goat Adam was over to where my son was stuck in less than a minute and had him quickly back to where he felt more comfortable. I am so grateful for how relaxed and competent Adam was when helping my son stay chill in the slots.
Adam the pictures you took were amazing. Thanks for such a spectacular day!
      Warmly,
      Judi C.

Adam Flemming was our guide for Blue John Canyon. The canyon is a long drive from Moab but spectacular. This was our 3rd trip with Moab Canyon Tours and in the future I will always work to use them as my guides- everyone I have spoken with in the company have been outstanding- helpful, courteous, and accommodating.

If the person reading this wants a quality experience with extremely well qualified guides then Moab Canyon Tours is, IMHO, the best option.

My fiancé and I went to Moab in May and did a full day private tour. The morning of the adventure rain was in the forecast so we were offered a refund or a different canyon to hike. Our guide Sean was the absolute best we had so much fun hanging out and hiking with him. He took us to Rock of Ages and we were blown away. We still talk about this trip with him at least once a week!

We arrived at Moab on a 100 + degree day. We signed up for Rock of Ages but with the heat advisory our guide called to switch us to Zero Gravity tour. It was an amazing experience. These narrow water locked canyons! It was a true slot canyon experience. We had never experienced anything like it before. It was challenging maneuvering your body through these very narrow slots but they give you a butt pad and knee pads for protection. There are times you are attached to a rope and your guide will help lower you down into a hole or canyon but I imagine it’s quite different from repelling a 90 foot drop. It was a perfect tour for a hot day with the combo of water and shade in the canyon. Our tour guide Adam was awesome! He took the most amazing pictures of us the entire time!

We loved it- and had a wonderful morning in a canyon only a few people get the pleasure of exploring.

Dropping over the edge from 60 feet and 90 feet above the canyon and repelling down. My first time using ropes and no difficulty experienced. Had 2 guides for the 2 of us so it was one on one. Slot canyon was located about 140 miles away south of Hanksville so there was about 4 hours of travel involved. Would consider this a Bucket list type experience.

Canyoneering in the Irish Canyons zone was the highlight of our two-week trip in the southwest. Even after a week in the red desert we were still stunned by the beauty of being deep with the slots. Sean was an amazing guide! Both my wife and I are novices when it comes to climbing / repelling and Sean was able to accommodate our skill levels while also pushing us outside our comfort zone. He also made the long drive to / from engaging and enjoyable.

Highly recommend to anyone in decent hiking shape, this was truly a once in a lifetime experience!
