Overview
This downtown Asheville brewery tour takes the guesswork out of finding a great beer in the North Carolina mountain town. On this walking tour, led by a certified cicerone, you stop at three top Asheville breweries. At each brewery, learn about the specific brewing processes and get to taste up to four 6-ounce samples.
What to Expect
Meets at Hi-Wire Brewing (Thursday, Saturday, Sunday) or Asheville Brewing (Friday) to start your downtown Asheville brewery tour.
Your guide, a certified cicerone, tells you all about this brewery, including its history, beers, and brewing process before you get to taste some for yourself. Sample up to four 6-ounce tastings before moving on to one or two more breweries in Asheville.
Along the walk to each brewery, your guide tells you a little bit about the city’s history and explains what makes this North Carolina city unique. Your guide encourages questions, so feel free to chime in.
Your tour ends at an Asheville brewery where you can stay if you like.

There were no pets on the tour I took. That does not mean no of course, but I assume it’s dependent on which breweries you visit. I distinctly recall at least one facing dogs while we were there.

Asheville Brewing, Twin Leaf and Catawba. Other tours may visit others but our particular tour visited these 3.
