          Wonderful day trip, great guide.
I took this tour as a solo traveller and can highly recommend it. It is a small group tour and I made friends with other people on the tour who were great company. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was great with a wonderful sense of humour. She immediately established a good rapport with all the passengers. She was very informative and went the extra mile to make sure everyone was well looked after. She made you feel you were in safe hands. The trip itself was wonderful. Lots of places of interest to visit including the very picturesque wooden houses of Oak Bluffs. I had stopped off in Boston for a long weekend en route to the UK after a short trip to Canada so was short on time. This day tour, with the ferry out to Martha's Vineyard was perfect. What a great memory! Thank you.

          Great Tour
We were excited to see the historical sites and were greatly rewarded by the depth of historical knowledge shared by our guide. He was fun and kept us captivated as we traveled to each site. Great tour

Well worth the visit AND the island tour!
Fantastic guides and well worth doing. We had Timmy who drove us on the Boston side to Cape Cod and back, then Jeff, who picked us up for the island tour once off the ferry. Both were super informative, and I would 100% recommend this if you are visiting Martha's Vineyard. We would not have got half way round the island nor heard all of the interesting and quirky facts we learnt along the way.

          Best Money Spent
This was the best tour ever! Rory was an awesome tour guide and showed us all the most beautiful sites to see all the beautiful, colorful leaves. Highly recommend this tour. They pick you up and drop you off from where you started. Money well spent, I'd love to come back and book the same tour again, highlight of my trip! Thank you!

Fantastic day trip tour. Highly recommend.
Fabulous tour! Dave was so knowledgeable and detailed that at times it was like listening to a great story. Great explanation of everything. The Plymouth Plantation and Mayflower were done really well. Such an enjoyable day and we were so glad we chose this as a day trip. What a fantastic tour of our American History! Highly recommend!!!

          Excellent day trip
Long day starting at 6am and back in Boston for about 7pm. Nice drive to the ferry and only a short 30 minutes or so across to the Island. We didn't book the Island tour but used the public busses to get around. We went to Edgartown, Vineyard Haven and back to Oak Bluffs on the busses and they were easy to find and use. Their website gives you loads of info and the prices were around $2-3 a ticket. It was throwing it down all day when we went but there were plenty of lovely local shops at each town to have a look in and we bought some really nice souvenirs. Our driver was very knowledgeable and told us everything we needed to know and there were toilet stops to and from Boston at a services that also sold food and drinks; although there was bottled water, breakfast bars, crisps and kit-kats and some other snacks on the bus for anyone who wanted them which was very nice! All in all a brilliant day trip!

          Beautiful island.
It's off season so not a lot of places open but the houses and beaches were beautiful. I enjoyed the tour. I would recommend it!

          Not a Fall Foliage trip
Nothing great about this tour - its called "Fall Foliage" but the experience was far from anything close - just driving all day and making pit stops here and there random places. Some history but nothing fascinating - not much fall foliage to see on this trip (the main purpose of our trip)

Best way to see the island
The tour was informative and fun. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The stops were the perfect amount of time to see everything. The only problem is that only one real restaurant was open after the tour and everyone from the ferry was there trying to get a table.

Our 50th Anniversary trip to Martha's Vineyard
We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and we enjoyed this tour so much. The tour was organized and being out first time to Martha's Vineyard, it was very interesting and educational. The guides were full of information and humor. It made it very enjoyable. We would do it again!

Great tour of the history of the Mayflower and the area
Great tour. Dave is a wealth of knowledge on the history snd trivia of all the towns along our way to Mayflower and Plimoth museums. As well as all the info on the Mayflower. Very enjoyable.

We are so pleased we did this
Jennifer was our driver. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. I felt this excursion was worth the money. We didn't do the tour on the island so I cannot rate that but instead took the bus from tow to town. For an $8 day pass it is a bargain.

          Unhappy Traveler
My two adult daughters and I were very disappointed in this tour. Because the tour info included 30 minutes at the Lexington Green, we were looking forward to a bit of history there. We never stopped at the Lexington Green -- just drove by it and our female tour guide (on October 9) said that's the Green. She pointed out a few historic houses along the way. Would stop long enough for us to take a picture from the bus, so if we were on the wrong side, forget about it. There is absolutely no point in going to the North Bridge right now. It's got some type of construction going on, and you can't get near it. We saw it from afar, from one vantage point. The Wayside Inn was the only place we really liked, and would have loved to have a nice lunch there. They were getting ready. Sturbridge Village is great if you have kids. Otherwise, very unimpressed with spending several hours at a place that isn't real. Just built for tourists and like I said, families. I prefer seeing the places that really existed in the early days. Our driver had told us our last stop would be at a farm for cinnamon apple doughnuts, so we were rather looking forward to that. Come to find out we had to pay for our doughnuts, and the people in the shop acted like they weren't expecting us and had to go to the back to see if we could have any! Our driver ("tour guide") wasn't interested in any of this. And I was sitting right behind her and saw her speedometer at 70 mph. Made me a bit nervous! A waste of time altogether.

Great trip, Anthony our Tour guide was vey informative and entertaining also. Oak’s bluff and Edgartown are lovely places to ramble around with beautifully designed ‘gingerbread’ styled residences.

          Charming and beautiful
The most charming place I have visited. Loved the ferry trip over which I thought was value for money. Loved the quaint shops and all the beautiful houses. Of course we had to try the famous lobster roll $40 but didn’t mind paying that.the harbour was great and we took the us to the next town and crossed over the jaws bridge . We had the Boston cream donuts too.definitely recommended and I would say you only need a full day there.

The itinerary was excellent and we were given ample time at each stop to explore properly. Our tour guide was also awesome. He provided lots of great information and commentary. Our only criticism is that the bus was not overly comfortable. You spend a lot of time driving and a bit more room and a smoother ride would have been nice.

Our driver for this excursion was Tim. He was informative, cheerful and patient. He brought cold water and snacks (as we left early in the morning) . He resupplied them for the trip back to Boston. He made sure that everyone was comfortable as we came back to Boston during rush hour traffic. And he returned us to our hotel.
He knew so much about Newport and the area around it. We had enough time to enjoy both the 'Breakers' and 'Marble House'. It is a long day, but so worth it!

The trip was very well timed and organized. Our guide and driver, Lucia, provided many interesting details about sites along the way as well as history of Newport and owners of the mansions. We felt very safe with her as she negotiated traffic, and she was very patient and courteous about a health issue my husband encountered on the trip. The mansions themselves are icons of the Gilded Age with furnishings and decor that rival the finest palaces in Europe. This tour is well worth the money.

Tim was a wonderful guide- telling stories and displaying a great sense of humor. We were picked up @7:45am at the Renaissance, and returned there @7:30pm. Our group was 18 psgrs in a comfortable mini bus. It’s a long day, but so worth it! We toured Marble House, the Breakers, walked the Cliff Walk- and still had 3 hrs free time in Newport. We were lucky to be there during the International Yacht Show. Lunch @ Lobster Bar on the water, and snacks @ Brick Alley Pub- delicious!

Lucia was great! Along with the beautiful weather came beautiful homes with beautiful views of the ocean. Lucia was filled so much imformation regarding the history and also fun facts about the other stops along the way. Her upbeat attitude and jokes made the tour ride seem shorter. Her food recommendations didn't disappoint. Oh and did I mention the homes were beautiful! This is one tour I'll definitely do again.

Pick up at the hotel. The tour guide and bus driver Tim had many interesting anecdotes to share during the trip to Newport, so the trip was very entertaining. After a walk (Cliff Walk), the first mansion (The Breakers) was visited. Then we went to Newport (leisure, lunch break, city walk). Then in the afternoon visit the Marble House. Both mansions are just great. Return then around 4.30pm. Tour was very well organized, there were drinks (water) as well as smaller snacks for free on the bus.

This one of my most favorite trips. Our tour guide Tim was very knowledgeable and funny as well. The only bad thing to report was one of our fellow passengers was constantly late getting back on the bus. 15 minutes late. Which then made us later getting back
to Boston at the end of the day. She had no regards for others time. Tim was very patient with that. Hats off to him.

A rewarding tour. The driver/tour leader was highly competent, friendly and helpful. We toured 2 homes and had enough time in each to explore the rooms. A very handy app provided lots of information in each house. We also had the chance to explore Newport town. For lunch.

Steve and his crew were excellent. The tour was fantastic. Amazing sites. You can trust these guys. Our bus broke down and they paid for Uber to get us back to Boston. Chris was our guide, very knowledgeable. Definately worth the money. Im 6'4" so the seats were too small for me on the bus or id have given it a 10 of 10 rating). Definitely a reliable company.

Thank you for taking the time to write this 5 star review of our Newport day trip. I guess you can say our bus broke down. What actually happened was the fuel module in the rear of the bus got water in it during the pouring rain. This was really a freak thing that happened. That happens to be a brand new 2022 vehicle. It certainly was unfortunate, but things happen sometime and all you can do is your best to try to rectify the situation. These are standard size mini-coach buses and they can be tight for taller guests (6-3 and above I'd say). I'm 6-1 and have no problems in our buses. Thanks again for your understanding as this was the first time I've had to have a vehicle towed since we began our operation in 2011. I'm glad that you enjoyed your day and I really appreciate your review!. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
