Tripadvisor gives a Travellers’ Choice award to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor.
Follow a professional historian, concerned about historical accuracy, able to address adults and children alike, in joy and good humor, to discuss the links between France and America. For example… What are the links and controversies between the history of Quebec and New England? Why was a young man of the French nobility, the Chevalier de Saint-Sauveur, assassinated by rebellious inhabitants? How did the “Yankees” overcome their intolerance towards the French to beat the English on their side? How did the Souvenir of the Marquis de La Fayette encourage Americans to fight and fall on the field of honor alongside the Poilus in 1917? How did the 1775 Revolution spread from America to France in 1789, and from France to Haiti, Vietnam, and other struggles for Freedom and Human Rights, and what their consequences today?

Time well spent on this tour! Highly recommend!
Incredible tour! My husband and I booked this tour eager to walk the city with a knowledgeable guide, experience the history of Boston, and not miss any of the important buildings. It checked all the boxes and we had a lot of fun along the way. Our tour guide Adam was personable, knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history of Boston, pointing out things we would have overlooked without his guidance. He dressed in a time period costume it was it fun to walk the Freedom Trail with him. Time well spent on this tour! Highly recommend!

Excellent guide! Very informative and accommodating.
Lovely walk through Bostons history! So much history and interesting places! Learned a lot! Wonderful sense of humor. Adam, gave us insights to the culture and practices of the Revolutionary times. And reminded us our basics civics lessons and why the Bill of Rights grew out out the problems citizens were having with British rule.

    Exceptional Tour and Tour Guide!
We could not have asked for a more knowledgeable, passionate, and entertaining tour guide! Adam was exceptionally engaging with our school-aged children, expertly weaving humor in with historical facts, and he patiently answered all of their questions. He made sure we saw all of the key stops on the Freedom Trail, while also showing us a few "off the beaten path" sites (including eateries) that were just as interesting. Adam's love for Boston and its history was contagious, and it made for a wonderful experience for our family. We highly recommend him!

AWESOME PRIVATE tour with ARBT Sydney!
Owner Adam Hodges St Claire helped us arrange a suitable date and time for a private tour, because our schedule was limited, and I did not want to be in a big group with other operators, nor end up having a canceled tour like I have read in other reviews of tour groups. Sydney was costumed (explained authentic features), funny, and shared facets of the colonists' life that I think might not be presented on other tours or websites. Sydney is a lifetime historian and current researcher. Our guide offered the option to customize our tour and was very flexible with the meeting time. We really liked the suggested meeting place which was different than most tours (since we could see the other groups traipsing below us). We learned so much about the realities for Bostonians and other colonists, and how events and pressures shaped their galvanized actions -- that we kept thinking about it all day! We loved our time with Sydney and would highly recommend Authentic Revolutionary Boston Tours for a private tour.

    Historic walking tour
I contacted Adam to provide a tailored walk for a work group. He was able to provide something specific for us. It was a great experience for those of us from out of Town. He gave us some historic highlights as well as some food insights to Boston too. He has a great sense of humor. We enjoyed the walk and would definitely recommend meeting him in the future. Thank you once again.

Just book the tour, you will not regret it!
Words can not begin to describe the awesomeness that is Adam. This tour was definitely tailored to my interests. We got to see soooo much and actually took our time as opposed to being stuck in a mid-large tour group. This truly was a private/ one-on-one tour, and best of all, it was affordable and family friendly. When it came time to part ways, it was for sure a little bitter sweet, especially for my 6 year old. We explored Boston for an entire week and this tour has been the highlight of our trip, hands down. I only wished that I had booked more "tours" with Adam throughout the week and this way have gotten to spend more time with him and all his lovely Dad jokes. I am looking to return in the fall and hopefully will have another opportunity then to tour together. Thanks again Adam for making this a one of a kind experience, and for helping to create some amazing memories for my daughter that are sure to last a lifetime ❤️
