What to expect
  • North Park is one of San Diego’s hippest 'hoods for artsies, foodies, and shoppers. Follow your foodie guide through one of the oldest communities in San Diego on this 4-hour tasting tour. Start off the afternoon in a world of cheese, then get a lesson from the pretzel experts. Take a stroll along 30th Street and discover how North Park was once a wilting lemon grove and still home to the oldest “Chinese Laundry” in the city. Sample artisan cheeses before walking past the infamous North Park sign, and then gear up for the neighborhood's best-kept secret. You’ll savor bites of pub cuisine and craft burgers while marveling at the turn-of-the-century Craftsman bungalows that can sell for millions. As you pass through this quaint neighborhood, stop for a quick slice at San Diego's best Chicago-style pizzeria. Be sure to check out the huge beer list at a few of the featured stops. Wrap up the afternoon with a light feeding at North Park's best wine bar, where you can choose from more than 100 types of wines to sip, sample and enjoy.

Perfect date activity
Jan 2019 • Couples
Very pleasant experience. I highly recommend for San Diego locals especially. The tour guide had decent knowledge about the area and food. He probably was very aware that couples do this as a leisurely activity and didn't rush through things.

Berkeley pizza was our favorite stop along with the final stop at a very unique wine tasting bar.

Bonus - They accommodated request for Vegetarian as well which was great

A great way to be introduced to an area of san diego that enables you to try out a number of places. Our guide, Samantha, was very friendly and keep the tour to the time allocated. We toured 6 places all of which were short strolls from each other. A couple of places actually had the owner(s) talk to us about their places which was very nice. The tour lasted about 3 hours and when we were done, it felt as if we had a full meal. So go hungry as you wont be disappointed. There was only one place which was shorthanded and therefore didnt have their act together, but other than the one, it was a great day doing the tour
