For those that love gangsters
Jun 2021
If you love gangsters this is for you. If you don't, you'll be a little lost. So much information on NYC criminals it can feel a little overwhelming. But the walking tour through Little Italy and Chinatown was great. A great chance to explore and learn about the neighborhoods. Joel provides a ton of information, plus recommendations on where to go and what to eat.

Be a tourist in your city

What a great way to learn about the history, tangle of webs and the crime in the city involving the mob.
All the names from the main five families, and their popular hangouts are discussed.
Our tour guide Joel was knowledgeable, entertaining and engaging! What a great way to be a tourist in your own city for a day!

Sooooo Worth It!!
Nov 2019 • Family
I don’t know where to begin! What an amazing experience for our family courtesy of Robin! This is not a rehearsed script kind of tour...she speaks from her heart and personal experience making you feel at home in Little Italy. We walked away with a genuine appreciation of the mob from its early beginnings, rise and fall. Absolutely worth it hands down!!

Can't fuhgeddaboudit! NYC Gangster and Mob walking tour - public
Oct 2019
This tour was something we looked foward to for a long time! I booked it as a birthday gift because this is such niche interest, especially so for mob movie lovers as ourselves. One complaint though: the guide spoke too fast, and the descriptions were so fast-paced that we could barely keep up with the names of one gangster to the next, and their relationships. Nevertheless, the guide kept us entertained and interested, and it was great to engage with our Little Italy surroundings one crisp New York morning. Our tour guide also gave us great recommendations for places to eat in the area too, much appreciated.

Very Detailed
Sep 2019
This tour was a good overview of Mafia history which was interesting. I thought we would see more sites about the Mafia, but that was not really the case. Very detailed information, would revise so that you see more of the sites related to the mafia to make it more interesting. Overall it was not bad and not great.

Thank you for leaving a review. I am sorry to hear you didn't think there were enough mafia places to show you. Please understand that just so many Mafia spots are on our route. The mob was all over the city and on a 2 hour walking tour you can just see what was in that specific neighborhood (which has been gentrified). We intertwine history and stories along with showing what was there and try to bring the past to life. Many sites from the past history are shown and that includes movie sites from mob movies. You get to see where Prohibition took over at the curb exchange and a corrupt police department right down the block. You walk the streets that The "Dapper Don" John Gotti walked and see where he was brought down in the Ravenite Social Club. His boss Aniello "Neil" Dellacroce lived across the street and ran a pizza shop connected to the Pizza Connection around the corner. You go inside The Old St. Patricks where scenes from the Godfather were filmed, and walk Black Hand Row where the Black Hand ruled in the 1880's. You venture into Little Italy where all the restaurants were ruled by Capos from the Five Families. In 1972 Joe Gallo is killed on Mulberry and Hester you are shown that spot and hear the demise of Crazy Joe Gallo. On our East Village Murder and Mayhem Tour, and on our vehcile tours you get to see other spots where the Mob ruled the streets. The 5 families ruled all over NYC in the 5 boroughs so to see them all you need to do it by vehicle. The Mob is past history and they no longer exist as they did that is why our tour is called The Rise and Fall of the New York Mafia.
