Terrific museum and a customer service experience worth telling
The Museum Of Broadway did not disappoint. The visuals are fantastic, the chronological story is masterfully told. This review however is more about a specific customer experience that needs to be told. Someone in our party required the use the elevator and to no fault of the museum, the elevators were down for repair when we arrived. Long story short, Whitney Hudson, Site Supervisor, stepped in immediately and showed my group of 4 what true customer service excellence is. Knowing time was limited for us, she invited us back the next day and had us ask for her. Everything went smoothly and above enjoying the museum immensely, we were incredibly impressed with Whitney's incredible customer service acumen.

Totally awesome show with an interesting storyline, excellent vocals and a talented ensemble. Well-deserving of the 13 Tony nominations.

Neil Diamond on Broadway …. A beautiful choice!
Didn’t know what to expect on my first visit to Broadway. Had a crap cold and wasn’t in the mood but hey how that changed. Wowwww. The way the show was laid out was thoughtful, true to his feelings and……. Absolutely immense. The cast were fantastic. Music spot on. Singing amazing…. Mega. Loved it. Alcohol was extortionate but you have to find the money somehow!

A standing ovation for this museum!
This museum was not yet open when we visited NYC in 2021 but we heard about it via a documentary on Broadway during COVID and decided to add it to our itinerary on our 2023 trip to NYC. I was a bit apprehensive about the admission cost but we love the theater and thought we'd go ahead. Great investment: this museum was so good! It traces the history of Broadway, highlights some major shows that have played here and takes you through a comprehensive view of Broadway. It's not a complete history of every major show or actor to ever hit the stage (that would take twice the space they have here!) but it does showcase a sizable number of plays. We spent four hours there and could have used another hour to go through the basement section that shows the behind-the-scenes work of putting a play together, but we had to leave in order to get to another commitment on time. We would visit this museum again if/when we travel to NYC. Very impressive work!

    Give My Regards to Broadway!
A perfect way to spend an hour or two, especially on a rainy day in the theatre district/Times Square, NYC! Lots of costumes, picktures playbills, interactive areas all laid out in an easy to follow timeline. Start on the third floor and work your way down to the different levels/eras. A bit too much to read and I would have like to have see a few more screens showing bits of the actual plays, but it was an interesting and enternaining museum. A bit pricy for less than two hours, but still something fun to do while waiting for the evenings play.

Loved it from start to finish
A fantastic show from start to finish. i loved every minute of it. The storyline accompanying his music was excellent. Would recommend going to see this show before it leaves Broadway for the USA tour. One of the best Broadway shows i have seen. Wish it would come to London.

The Go To Place for Theatre Fans
If you love Broadway, then you need to visit this museum. Lots of information about the history of 'the great white way' and the shows, stars, producers, etc. I highly recommend to any fan of live theatre.

Families -- Go see Suffs the Musical!
AMAZING! Already planning another trip. My family said it was the best show they have ever seen, and we live in NY, so we have seen a LOT of shows. The singing/acting was award-worthy and in fact it is nominated for Best Musical -- rightly so! The story is about much more than the feminist movement, delving deeply into human rights in general and what it means for everyone. The staging was artfully done, really supported the show. The action is front and center the whole time, so I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The theater is on the smaller side, actually perfect for this style of show. Maybe most importantly, for a change it was completely family friendly without being at all Disney. About time Broadway had something you could bring the kids to that was inspiring real life and not complete fantasy! Highly recommend for all ages and sexes!!!

More fun than at most museums.
Okay, I’m a Broadway baby, and so I was expecting to enjoy this museum… but I really loved it because it allowed me to interact with sets, props, and costumes from so many of my favorite shows. One can gain an education into theater by watching all the videos and studying all the exhibits. One might take hours doing so. But it was the immersive experiences that really made my day at the museum.

    Wonderful (!) Broadway Show
LOVED it! And was not familiar with the music, which did not matter at all. A complete delight. Would recommend to anyone who loves musicals. Especially anyone who is familiar with the music of Brittney Spears, Katy Perry, etc.

    Good seats, smooth entry
We had a city pass and gate 4 was where we needed to be. Very reasonable seats, good game. Subway easy and straightforward to the game. We left before the end and all was busy, but straightforward, heading home.

We chose the mezzanine but the company where we bought the tickets online (headout) gave us the worst seats A18 and A20 located in the corner. When we got there we barely could see the stage. Luckily, the theatre wasn't full, so we changed the seats. The play was fine. I had expectations of more dances but the actors have incredible voices.

It's a fun play, but seriously, see it once her run is over. Shockingly enough, the reality tv star can't dance. Or act. Or sing. I love this play, but I wish I'd checked the cast list before buying. The finale of this dance-centric production was her and Velma Kelly awkwardly shaking their boobs at each other for an excruciatingly long time. It's the worst performance I've seen on broadway.

The performers were very talented! Also the singing was outstanding. We just wanted to state that before saying why we put 3/5.

Personally we found the storyline a bit strange and a bit boring. The term “yawn fest” was used.
We sat there wanting it to end unfortunately. £120+ per ticket for nothing really.

We were also exceptionally disappointed that they were only serving $6 water and $31 wine in a PLASTIC beaker 😟!

People seemed to enjoy it though so this is just our personal take on it… also we don’t really understand why the set had to be the same nearly the whole time. I’d understand the musicians being featured for a few minutes or so but for the whole 2 hours was a bit much.

I really wanted to love this show. This was our 2nd valentines days as husband and wife and the trip to NYC was also an anniversary gift from my husband. We currently live in MIami and I personally have never been to a Broadway show. The show was amazing, at least the first half of it. The theater is very old, the seats were so uncomfortable. I am not a tall woman or have long legs but I felt like my knees were hitting the seat in front of me the whole time; much worse that in a tight flight. During intermission every woman in the entire theater needed to use the restrooms; this theater was so old that only had one restroom with 5 stalls to serve the 15 minutes intermission. The line was huge, but the time I got to the stalls the orchestra had started the second half. Needless to say but the time I got out all the lights were off because the show had already began. I was so upset that we had spent so much money on these tickets to get uncomfortable seats, which seem to be the case of ALL of them, the usher moving us from the original seat she told us to seat down out, and we were not the only ones she had to move multiple times because she want familiar with the seating arrangements, as well as the over 15 minutes line for the lady’s restrooms. Me and my husband left right after the break due to the frustration and the uncomfortable of this place. I want to believe that CHICAGO had not always been at this theater because the reason why we went to watch it was due to its great reviews. Too bad we couldn’t withstand the place or the long restroom lines. It was really hard to believe that a place of that magnitude only had 5 stalls to serve all the ladies attending the event. What a disappointment !!

Exceptionally good show, top music and dance numbers. Seating a bit cramped, but overall truly unique musical. And a very strong message too!

However bitterly disappointed with ticket sales rip off. Booked from UK before travel 4 weeks ago, at the time venue was showing only 8 tkta left, bought ticekts for $100. Yesterday same ticjet was available at door for $69! Just a rip off...sad to see. Been to dozens of musicals in London, never had this experience.

So anyone reading this, suggest buy Broadway tickets at door on the day. The demand is nowhere like London.

I watched Chicago on Broadway a few days ago and was very dissapointed. As someone who watches shows in the theatre often, I feel that Broadway is definitely not at a ‘broadway standard’. The dancing is amateur and not polished, the characters dont even change outfits once throughout and theres no set! No backgrounds no colours no life just an orchestra plonked in the whole stage so leaves the performers a tiny space in front of them. I think the whole show needs a reboot and update and definitely not worth paying $80! I have seen better quality shows on much smaller stages.

Provider did not deliver tickets. They were not available to help on the day of the show to get out tickets. They didn't answer email, text, regular number, or their emergency line. On their emergency line it went to voicemail and the voicemail box was full.

The show itself was good. The venue was shockingly outdated. I guess I just expected more for Broadway in NYC. I couldn’t see much of the performance because the seats are barely staggered. The people in front of me had trouble seeing as well as the people in front of them.

Also the average sized man to my left was pouring into my seat as well since the seats aren’t very wide. Sad that show is good, but venue is not so good. I paid full price for tickets and that made this worse.

I now will appreciate my local venue seeing the Broadway across America Shows so much more!

Although I enjoyed the show, I wish they would have used more colorful wardrobe similar to the costumes of the original show. Just putting everybody in black is boring. The original, as in pictures I saw online, were so much more creative and adventurous. Also, the orchestra takes up so much space on the stage taking away from what could be some really awesome dance scenes and scenery changes. I wish they would follow more of the original images. I’ll be taking my mother in March to see it at the Pantages in Hollywood and am dreading sitting through the darkness and black costumes, again. Please, Chicago directors and choreographers: add some flair and color and personality to this show!

Firstly the staff are rude and obnoxious, they have no care for anyone other than themselves. Seats are small and uncomfortable, theatre is seriously outdated and cold. Needless to say we got a refund for the complete lack of respect from staff. Will not be returning!
