    Great tour of The Met!
We're so glad we booked this tour. Robin was an excellent guide. Her vast knowledge and clear passion for art and antiquities really enhanced our knowledge and enjoyment of the museum.

    Met Museum
Tour guide Charlie gave us a fantastic tour with tons of insight into exhibits plus the history behind the museum itself. So much to see but it looks like he gave us a great background

    Charlie was AMAZING!
Charlie was knowledgeable, engaging and brought history and the life experience of the artist to understand the nuance of the pieces we saw. He was very respectful of people such as I whose knowledge of Art is sketchy at best.

Informative and enjoyable! Our tour, with Cherie, was fantastic!
Our tour of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island with Cherie was nothing short of fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and full of interesting information. She knew exactly where to take the best pictures, sit on the boat for the best views, and the photographs she brought along with her to describe Ellis Island were great. My family enjoyed this tour and would definitely recommend Cherie.

    Took great care of us!
After going to the wrong museum to start (my fault) we had to rush over. Cherie was fantastic and flexible. Her knowledge was exciting to listen to and she had great insight on things we would have never known. She toured us through the museum comfortably and was very enjoyable to interact with. Request Cherie when booking if you can!

    Great experience
My husband and I really enjoyed our tour with Cherie. She shared informative, interesting information, but didn't overwhelm us with too many facts or stories about Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. She did a great job of balancing the amount of time talking, walking, listening and time to explore on our own. She had good suggestions for the best photo spots and knew to get the better seats on the ferry to get those. She led you to the best spot to get on the ferry without waiting in a long line! Overall, we had a great experience and would happily take another tour with her and Babylon Tours.

    Fun and factual
Rob was very a very informative and entertaining guide. Very knowledgeable and flexible. He tailored the tour to our interests and kept us mostly away from the scrum of tourists. I’d use him again in a heartbeat.

Why’d I wait so long to try a private tour?
This was our first time doing a private tour, based on the recommendation of a friend. The Met in NYC is so overwhelming that this seemed like a good idea. Well, it was a great idea! Now, i could be. Oases because our tour guide Charlie was unbelievably amazing. We legitimately got more out of each piece he showed us than we would’ve gotten from the whole visit on our own. He knew so much about the art, this history behind how it got to the Met, and the context of its creation, way more than the audio guides or “normal” tours. We talked about it for the rest of the evening. Additionally, we had 2 children with us, which was not easy, but he handled it incredibly well. Highly recommend a private tour for the Met. And double highly recommend Charlie, who was just amazing!

    Don’t miss it
Amazing tour! Kevin was our guide, he’s very knowledgeable on the areas we were shown (and more)… but what we enjoyed the most was that he transmitted his passion for art through his interactions with the group. Will definitely book it again on my next visit!

    Great tour with teens
Just spent a great 2 1/2 hours in the Metropolitan Museum of Art with a fabulous tour guy named Kevin Lawrence. He created a fast moving informative tour with plenty of stories to keep the teenagers interested. We will definitely need to return for more!

Kevin was awesome. Learnt quite a lot, highly recommend. The Met is massive and no tour is comprehensive but Kevin captured many of the highlights.

    Great Tour with Local Insights
After another guide canceled due to rain and parade staging, we were able to rebook on Thanksgiving afternoon. Mark, an accomplished artist and NYC local, was an excellent guide. We moved the starting point from the southern end to the Met and my wife, teenage daughter and I were treated to a 2-hour 15-minute tour of some of the Park’s most treasured highlights, including Belvedere Castle, the Whispering Bench, Strawberry Fields, the Lake and the Literary Walk. Mark clearly treasures NYC and CP and provided the great insight, some inside info and just the right amount of snark. Highly recommend!

    So worth it!
Amazing tour with Mark of the Met's treasures! Great knowledge and tailored to must see pieces for all of us in the tour. The Met is overwhelming, so this tour was a great way to see the works without getting lost.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour experience . We hope to be able to get into the city again for another tour with Mark. We will look at the city differently on subsequent visits thanks to Mark and the knowledge he passed on to us. It was indeed a pleasure. His enthusiasm and love for this amazing city is contagious! Mark exceeded our expectations! We learned so much and genuinely enjoyed his company. He is a rock star and will have our vote for Mayor should he decide to throw his hat in the ring!

When we first booked our trip for this tour, we looked forward to an informative and insightful walking tour to learn about midtown Manhattan, perhaps sharing the experience with a handful of other visitors.

We were, of course, delighted to discover that we were the only people on the tour that day. As a result, we got to enjoy two hours of quality and insightful 1:1 time with our guide, Jonathan, as he regaled us with knowledge about the architecture and history of midtown. Jonathan clearly had and has a passion for this region of Manhattan and that was particularly exemplified when we did an end-of-tour walk through the New York Public Library special exhibition at the end of the tour.

Katherine was an awesome tour guide. She was interesting, well prepared and guided us through some amazing buildings and architecture. She personalized the tour and provided us with excellent visuals and really fun facts. We worked and lived in Manhattan and thought we “knew it all” and we were so mistaken. We really did not the tour to end. I highly recommend this tour.

I was blown away with how wonderful this was! I was sure I could enjoy the architecture just walking around in my own. I’m so glad I didn’t. Our guide Katherine was absolutely incredible. She went above and beyond answering all our questions. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of nyc. I couldn’t recommend her tours more.
