About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- carriesU6643JU0 contributionsMust experience! Then tour was one of the main goals of our NYC trip. The actress giving the tour did not disappoint! We got to visit SJP shoe store, Carrie Bradshaw stoop, Aiden and Steve’s bar, and the list goes on! I have included pictures. Thank you for life long memories, definitely worth the money!Written 3 October 2024
- 529reenau0 contributionsThank you for the great " Breakfast at Tiffany's"movie tour experience!I had the best quality time with tour guide Adam! As I am a passionate movie and acting lover, I was amazed over his capability to show new details of the movie world and real life connections. The organisational side of the tour was smooth and positive, Adam operated with timetable, itinerary, weather and transport issues very cooperatively. Thank you for the best "Breakfast at Tiffany's" experience! Reena from EstoniaWritten 10 September 2024
- K9276AWmariac0 contributionsNOT a Sex and the City tourMy tour was absolutely horrid. Worst experience of my life. This was not a Sex and the City tour. Tour guide and only referenced the show a little bit and kept talking about Trump. This was not a Trump tour. You should not over charge people for matching the person with a tour guide that know absolute zero about the tour. We ended up cutting the tour short and the guide had the audacity to ask for a tip.Written 25 May 2024
- olisa0 contributionsFabulous visitGreat tour with Monia a great guide Very friendly visit very informative about history and places Made us discover areas we didn t know and put them in historical and architectural context End of visit at a great Italian cafe where they serve the best espressos of NYC Totally recommend Pierre SWritten 16 May 2024
- kristinross310 contributionsFaux foodie experienceThis was a terrible food tour that lacked actual food samples as advertised. The tour guide expected tour attendees (just me) to pay for his train fair and any food or beverage items that I paid for at venues along the way.Written 5 February 2024
- Brian H0 contributionsWalking through nyc metro historyI met John in lower Manhattan and he was very knowledgeable about the history of new york and new jersey. As we walked around we actively discussed details around the revolutionary War up through the events around 9/11 and how the area has changed over time. I learned a great deal and would recommend to anybody interested in the new york metro history and architectureWritten 22 January 2024
- Q5644GGkennethb0 contributionsA FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE THAT I ENJOYED TREMENDOUSLYFOR THJE FIRST TIME I VISITED A BREWERY IN FREEHOLD New Jersey. IT WAS A QUAINT PLACE WITH UPSTAIRS AND DOWNSTAIRS SEATING. YOU COULD ORDER YOUR BEER AND THEN IF YOU WANTED FOOD YOU ORDERED IT BY PHONE. RESTAURANTS ARE NEAR THE BREWERY. ENTERTAINMENT WAS PROVIDED AT THE ARTIS BREWERY. THE ENTERTAINER, BRYAN BREATHES WAS PERFORMING. A VERY TALENTED YOUNG MAN WHO PLAYS THE PIANO, GUITAR AND HARMONICA CAPTURED THE AUDIENCE WITH HIS UNIQUE TALENTS OF THE MUSIC WORLD. HE TAKES REQUESTS AND PLAYS HIS OWN SONGS FOR THE EVENING. AT ONE POINT IN THE EVENING HE HAD ENGAGED 4 MEN IN ILLUSTRATING THEIR TALENTS ON THE MICROPHONE. THE AUDIENCE ENJOYED THAT SIDE SHOW WITH THE ENTERTAINER ACCOMPANY THEM ON HIS GUITAR. IT WAS A REQUEST MADE BY THEM AND BRYAN ENGAGED HIMSELF IN HELPING MAKE THE SHOW A SUCCESS. WHAT A EVENING THIS WAS! IF YOU GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT ARTIS BREWERY AT 36 SOUTH STREET IN FREEHOLD New Jersey YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. NOT ONLY ARE THE DRINKS WORTH WHILE BUT THE ENTERTAINMENT IS A REAL TREAT. YOU CAN EVEN BRING IN YOUR FOOD OR ORDER FROM NEARBY RESTAURANTS.Written 30 September 2023
- 694RobertM6940 contributionsNot what we expectedOn August 29th, we met our guide, Adam, at the appointed location in Brooklyn and began our 3-hour walking tour. We were the only two people on the tour; we couldn't help wondering if this was good or bad. We proceeded up one ordinary street where Adam pointed out several different ethnic restaurants (a few closed or under renovations), pointing out that 7 different nationalities were represented. I guess this would be fascinating to some, but we are from Vancouver and here we have every conceivable ethnic restaurant you can name. So, mildly interesting. At the end of the first block we came to a Japanese Ice Cream shop. Adam suggested we go in for a sample ... one of the "tastings' referred to in the tour description. Let's just say the lady behind the counter was less than happy about giving out a free sample. If looks could kill ... we left quickly feeling quite embarrassed that Adam had not introduced himself, "Oh hi, I'm Adam with Viator ... I spoke with someone here the other day who said it would be OK for us to try a taste" ... nothing like that. His response was "well I spoke to someone here the other day and she said it would be OK". Problem, THAT person wasn't in on the day we visited and nobody else knew anything about any free tastings. So, when Adam next suggested we head out to an area where there were 40 different restaurants, and presumably a few more tastings, we were doubtful. Especially when he told us the restaurants were located 16 blocks away. It was hot and muggy and we had our overnight bags with us. Not Adam's fault of course, but the reality of walking 16 blocks just to find restaurants where "maybe" we would enjoy a tasting seemed unappealing. And Adam did not say "gee I'm sorry the ice cream place didn't work out but I promise the other restaurants know we're coming and it's all set up." In fact, we don't think these tastings were formally arranged at all. Since we were the only two on this tour, we asked if he could just take us to see some of the sights we'd heard about such as Washington Street, the Manhattan Bridge. He seemed tentative and said he wasn't familiar with the area and hadn't done any tour prep on that area. Earlier we had noted that the tour was to end in DUMBO - Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass - which is a charming and chic neighbourhood. We were hoping to find the famed old Fulton Ferry Building and Grimaldi's Pizza. We found the pizza place. But no tastings arranged there. After about an hour and a half of walking without having seen much of what we'd expected, we called an end to it. The cost of the tour for the two of us was $280 US - to us Canadians with our bad exchange rate, that's $390 Cdn. Regardless of which currency is used, we didn't feel this tour delivered the value we expected for that outlay, especially when the word 'FOOD' is first in the tour description. It would be wrong to leave the impression that Adam was not a friendly, local guide - he was a nice man. But this tour seemed ill-prepared.Written 8 September 2023
- tarock550 contributionsNot worth it!Tour did not focus on the tour we paid for. He expected us to pay for his train ride to the locations we were going to. He talked about every building we passed which had nothing to do with our tour. I was very unsatisfied with this tour guide. I would suggest you use your own city map app and do it yourself.Written 13 July 2023
- Z9450ZOlorib0 contributionsDisappointing toueWe go on lots of tours in US and abroad. Sadly this is one of the most disappointing tours we have ever been on. We rode the subway to Brooklyn and then walked across the Brooklyn Bridge in the rain. The weather is what it is but the guide while nice enough hardly spoke and didn’t teach us much about the bridge or historic buildings on the tour. We knew more about the landmarks and events than he did, we eventually just wound up reading the placards on the Brooklyn Bridge to learn things. For such an expensive private tour we felt that our guide was not a professional guide and shared too little information with us and also didn’t pace the walking tour very well.Written 5 October 2022
- azzure0 contributionsFast-paced tour.Robert was fine, and very well informed about NYC architecture. He is also a very fast walker, so be prepared, but this may have been because he misunderstood the amount of time we had for the tour. I would have liked to be able to find all the buildings we saw on a map for later reference, but this didn't seem possible given the pace of the tour.Written 1 October 2022
- justinbC4992LD0 contributionsWorst Tour in 8+ yearsThe guide didn’t speak English half of the time, they were late and quit on us 20 minutes into t he tour. Also they could not find Lombardi’s Pizzeria which was ON THE LIST of stops. They also changed the time of the tour and the location. We asked for a refund and we’re denied. It also came up under food tours in the search, but that was our fault for not reading that in the detailed information. I’ve been booking tours all the time for 8+ years and have never had an experience half this bad. I’ll make sure to never use this company again and tell everyone I know who travels to make sure they never use them in the future. This company has very few reviews and now I know why, STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!Written 19 September 2022

- Rebecca1975G0 contributionsFabulous Sex in the City TourThis tour was fabulous! Our tour guide told us not just sex in the city facts but facts about the city of New York too! The highlight of the trip was definitely seeing the New York public library where Carrie and Big almost got married. Then learning about how the idea of rubber sneakers were made right there in the by library. Our tour guide, Moniane, was extremely knowledgeable and asked us if there was any places we wanted to go, she was very flexible! Definitely a highlight of our week in New York!Written 23 March 2022
