Small-Group Tour
Small-group tour with transport by van
From US$200.00
Travel to the Arctic Circle from Fairbanks on a trip that follows the Dalton Highway across the Yukon River and beyond. You’ll see a rugged arctic landscape that's a dramatic contrast with Fairbanks, eat a hearty stew in the open air, and watch for wildlife in a natural environment. Group size is limited to eight travelers for a more personal experience as you explore Alaska’s extreme north.
What to Expect
Meet a driver at your Fairbanks hotel and then board a climate-controlled van for the 200-mile (322-kilometer) trip across the Arctic Circle.

You’ll be traveling the Dalton Highway, first built as a supply road for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, and you’ll sometimes see the massive pipeline system along the way. Snacks and drinks are provided on the road, and there’s lots to spot from the vehicle, including native wildlife and gorgeous scenery.

When you reach the Arctic Circle, stretch your legs, snap some photos, and enjoy an Arctic picnic of beef stew and a sandwich. Here, spend some time learning about indigenous Alaskan cultures, before returning to Fairbanks with an official Arctic Circle certificate.

Amazing day

Clark was an awesome guide for the Arctic Circle day trip. The tundra scenery is absolutely spectacular, and it was really interesting to learn more about the trans-Alaska pipeline. We didn't see any wildlife, but that isn't really the purpose of this tour. Highly recommend...More

Sorry, I just saw this. It's possible but in our van he had the back full with our drinks and meal for the day. We did have one with us that used a walker. I hope this helps!

Depends on the weather. If it's bad, then they may not go. Yes Aurora Borealis should be visible in March
