Not school but dog mushing college. This difficult sport and lifestyle requires a lot of knowledge that will be past on to you durning your visit. In-depth information on dog mushing history, different breeding types over the years, understanding how thousand mile long distance races are run, see and try on arctic survival clothes, see and handle the necessary equipment used, play with our 36 huskies there all stars, watch an actual Iditarod campout demonstration, sit back and enjoy racing and museum footage, plenty of time for questions and answers, private 90 minute husky bonding sessions (just you and the dog), hike on our scenic trails picking blueberries and raspberries with views of the Alaska range and the white mountains, only 25 minutes from town, beautiful scenic drive, an afternoon you’ll never forget.

The worse thing about the whole experience was the drive. I believe Kaila? I may have her name wrong, she was awesome. very knowledgeable and very down to earth. this is a "real" Alaskan dog kennel not a "staged" kennel for looks. learned a lot...More
