          Comfortable and incredible!
Saw the Aurora last night while at the Aurora Husky Lodge. Michi & Keiko were excellent hosts. The space was warm and inviting with a wood stove and blankets and an indoor toilet. Great viewing area, they really looked like the ones in the picture.

          Amazing Northern lights viewing experience
We visited the lodge in November, and Michi and his wife were great hosts! The lodge normally shuts at 2 am, but the lights hadnt apperead yet, so Michi insisted that we stay a bit longer if we'd like to try our luck, we stayed until 3 and just when we were about to leave, the lights appeared! We would have totally missed it if he and his wife were not constantly on the look out Through out the 5+ hrs we were there, they entertained us with stories, conversations, and home made food. Felt like I was at my grand parents home again Would highly recommend them!!

Awesome place to view northern lights!!
The lodge was located in the top of the mountain and the best spot to observe northern lights. The owner Michi has been in Alaska over 20 years and was the world champion of Dog Sledding Race. He has a lot of knowledge about not only northern light and dog sledding, but also good place to visit in Alaska. He was used to be a tour guide in Alaska. They are really passionate to make guests happy. They helped us a lot when we can see the Northern lights. At the end, they took our pictures with Northern lights in the background. That's also amazing. That was the most precious tour we had in our Alaska Trip

          Good location!!
It's a huge expanse of sky, and we got to see the beautiful aurora borealis fill the sky! It was also very interesting to listen to the owner's stories over a cup of coffee in the warm lodge. 空が広い広大な敷地で、綺麗なオーロラを空いっぱいに見ることができました! 暖かいロッジでコーヒーを飲みながら聞く、オーナーの話もとても面白かったです。

We visited the lodge in early February. Michi was very clear when booking that he would send out a detailed text with the time of pick up from our hotel, which he did around 5pm. The drive up was comfortable, he was constantly checking if all passengers were warm enough and telling us about the lights and the probability of seeing them for that night. Michi and his wife Keiko were very welcoming and once everyone was settled there was coffee, tea, snacks, and enough chairs to lounge around while you waited for the lights. Michi participated in the Iditarod Trail sled dog race and tells you of his experience, which was very interesting to hear. Around midnight the lights started to appear, which you may not be able to see with your naked eye at first. Michi was great and super optimistic that the lights would appear more and they did late into the night. Even though our tour ended at 2am, Michi allowed us to view the lights until after 2am since they had appeared later, which was very nice. We enjoyed this lodge experience so much that we booked again the second to last night before we left Fairbanks, AK. The chances were slim again but around 1am Lady Aurora made her appearance and again Michi allowed us to stay past the tour end time to experience the beautiful show. Michi’s optimism was so motivating, and he assured us not to lose hope in seeing the lights one more time before we left Alaska. Throughout our entire trip, we would recommend anyone and everyone on other tours to use Aurora Husky Lodge to catch Lady Aurora. Thank you Michi and Keiko for a wonderful experience.

Michi was a great host. He communicated ahead of time for the exact pickup schedule, was very informative about the Northern Lights, and monitored their activity so he could let us know when it was worthwhile to go outside and see a good display. We were glad to be able to go inside when needed as it was very cold and breezy. Our night ended with an extra stop along the road when returning to Fairbanks. We were rewarded with a showy display of lights.

Despite not getting to experience the aurora borealis, Michi, made the time pleasant, We were disappointed not to see the show, but mother nature controls that.
The lodge is comfortable for the small group and he provides hot drinks, water and snacks. Michi was constantly checking the aurora app and even communicated with other tour operators while keeping us up to date. He has comfortable chairs and sofas for the wait. The lodge also has large viewing decks to see the night sky. We got to see the stars and Milky Way while waiting. Michi was alert on our trip back to the hotel to see if the borealis showed up.

Michi is a former Iditarod musher and can tell you about that which adds to the excursion. It was a good time despite not getting to see the aurora borealis. I highly recommend Michi.

OK, so you book this experience and pay in advance. Then there are no circumstances under which you get a refund. I understand that the Northern Lights cannot be guaranteed to appear. But the entire experience consists of sitting in this man's lodge waiting to see if the lights would appear. Another review talked about how knowledgeable he is and how much they learned. For us, he played a video about the lights, which was interesting and informational, then another video about the Iditarod. There was hot water, styrofoam cups and instant coffee and hot chocolate, and store bought cookies to serve ourselves. I think for $111 each, he should have had some sort of a program, lecture, discussion planned for the downtime, which consisted of about 4 hours. Very disappointing. By the way, the lights did not appear that night.

Great value. Michi provided round trip transportation, a warm cabin, refreshments, and camera pointers. We went to several other viewing spots during the trip but Michi stood out as the expert in predicting when we could expect the big shows within a few minutes. We highly recommend Aurura Husky.

Great Experience. Our host picked us up at our Hotel and drove our group to his Husky Lodge out of town, outside of all the modern lights. He was extremely knowledgeable and kept track of when the aurora borealis was at it's best. This made it easier for us to stay inside, out of the cold, yet see all the beautiful northern lights. He has a computer system that tracks the lights all throughout the night. It's small enough to feel like you have access to the host to ask questions at any time. He helps with the best camera or cell phone settings to photograph the lights. Just a great experience!

It's my first time in Fairbanks to see the North light. Because we leave the next day, our chance to see the Aurora isn’t high. (we are also Mitchi’s first group tho year/season.) nobody knows what to expect.

Hitachi picked us up at our hotel as he promised. We arrived at his cabin around 10:50 (about an hour from the Hyatt hotel). He quickly showed us the facility, the restroom, drawing room and balcony where we can see the Aurora. Once we settled, he introduced himself, a champion of the Sled Dog Race (how fascinating!). Over the past 30 years, he has competed in many national/international championships. He showed us a few chairmanship videos and other videos he made around Alaska while we are waiting for the Aurora.

Around 12:30am, we started to see some bright green light from the east side. Then, here we go. A bright skinny Aurora slowly moved around his cabin. We are SUPER LUCKY 🍀! Most people stay 3-4 nights to see the light. We saw it on the first try!

Mitchi offered professional photography and showed us a few tips on how to take amazing photos. Guess what, our photos turned out AMAZING❤️.

Overall, it was a remarkable trip. Not only because of the Aurora but also his hospitality and knowledge about Sled Dog Race. I experienced and learned a lot from him.

Cabin was a great cozy place to see views both outside and inside. Michi takes the greatest pictures on his camera and is very skillful on the Aurora Lights. Although the lights were very faint in person, on camera they shine beautifully. This experience is perfect for anyone who wants to sit back and watch the light or run around his cabin capture every angle. We took my senior mother who relies on her cane and she had a great time.

Mich is great host. Clouds were not letting have a great view from the lodge. He ask us if we wanted to chase the Aurora lights and sure enough he found two beautiful spots with great view. He went the extra mile to satisfy his customers. Great experience we will recommend him to anyone who wants to live the experience of the Aurora Lights. Carmen and José.

We booked this activity last minute (same day of the tour) so did not have a lot to go by other than comments left by others, I am very glad we chose to do this!!! Michi of Aurora Husky Lodge (and his wife) were very good hosts whom provided a very nice environment at their cabin /lodge in which to experience the aurora. Michi is a very interesting individual whom has participated in the Iditarod several times over the years. He is very knowledgeable about the aurora and happily shares his knowledge with others. He also helped us ( my wife and I) set up our iphone settings to take the best pictures of the aurora, with his help we were able to get some very good pictures. He shows great interest in giving you the best opportunity to see the aurora, even extending our tour time slightly to help enable to see the aurora better as the clouds that moved in began to thin out. Thank you Michi for a fantastic evening!!!
