          Amazing!
In November Roy showed me and my best friend the Bokor Mountain in Cambodia and it was more than just visiting Bokor Mountain. we learned a lot from Roy about Cambodia and life there, we saw the monkeys en the beautiful nature. With Roy as tour guide, Kampot was definitely one of my highlights of this trip because it is beautiful!

Good. Interesting tour with a very engaged guide. Despite being the dry season the falls was the highlight despite a tricky climb down and back

          The perfect day
After doing the countryside tour with the same company and having a great experience, we decided to book on to this tour for the next day! What a beautiful place with such a complex history! Once again, our tour guide (Chet) could answer any questions and was very engaging. A huge thank you to Roy and his lovely family :)

Interesting tuk tuk tour of the national park
A good day exploring - interesting to see the ruined building and hear the history. Roy was a knowledgable guide and our driver was helpful and kind too. Tasty lunch at a beautiful waterfall

          Interesting trek up the mountain
This tour is a fantastic trip up the mountain stopping at many interesting sites along the way. Our guide Mickey was fun, friendly and shared lots of local stories and history. He gave us plenty of time at each stop to explore, get photos & take in the sites. Lunch at the waterfall was beautiful. I highly recommend this tour

Knowledgeable guide with good spoken English.
Great knowledgeable guide with good English. We did all the spots on the list, plus a bbq duck at his place after it. I recommend it.

          Good tour - Worth doing!
This is a nice tour. Roy showed us around (an unfortunately very foggy) bokor mountain all morning and took us to an excellent hidden spot for lunch near the waterfall. We took him up on his offer to extend the tour with a visit to the secret lake and pepper plantation. Roy is a great guy, with a good sense of humour. We learned a lot about Cambodia from him. Highly recommend!

Phenomenal tour. Roy is the man 🙏🏻
We could not recommend this tour enough. Bokor National park is beautiful and Roy was such an amazing tour guide. Perfect English, very knowledgeable, funny and passionate about his country. It feels like more of a day out with a friend rather than just a simple tour. Being able to speak to someone like Roy while exploring the park allows you to have such a better understanding and appreciation of the area, and makes the trip all the more worthwhile. He was so good we went back for another tour with him the following day, where we went to see the salt fields, a cave temple, the secret lake, the pepper fields and then finished the day having lunch and coffee in Kep, another beautiful town. These were the best two days of our trip so far. Thank you Roy 🙏🏻

“Enchanting Bokor: A Must-Do Kampot Adventure”
If you’re visiting Kampot, the Bokor Mountain tour is an absolute must. The guide we had was simply exceptional. He provided detailed explanations about each location, sharing the historical background and stories with such kindness and a perfect English accent, making everything easy to understand. Bokor Mountain itself was stunning, with its expansive natural scenery and many monkeys to observe along the way. On the day we visited, a mist covered the mountain, adding a mysterious and cinematic atmosphere that was simply breathtaking. The higher altitude meant the air was pleasantly cool, allowing us to enjoy our time comfortably even at midday. Lunch by the serene lakeside was another highlight of the tour, offering a peaceful moment to unwind and take in the natural surroundings. The guide continuously paid attention to every detail, creating a joyful and memorable experience. If you’re considering a Bokor Mountain tour, I highly recommend doing it with this guide. He truly made the tour an unforgettable part of our trip.

          Bokor hill adventure
Bong Roy took us to Bokor Hill and all the amazing sites along the way. His English is great and he’s extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his country which gave us a deeper understanding of Cambodian history. We saw giant Buddha statues, old Catholic Churches, incredible temples and even fed monkies! My sons and I really enjoyed it. Totally recommend!!

          The true experience
I cannot recommend Roy more highly! He was the perfect tour guide and even took me on a private tour because it’s a quiet season🙏 His knowledge was outstanding and he was engaging and enthusiastic about all things! I learnt so much from him; not only about the fascinating sites we visited, but about the Cambodian culture, way of life, history, and general interesting conversation. The lunch cooked by his mother was so delicious and I found him so likeable and easy to spend the day with. These personal tours help every day Cambodians. Please don’t support big companies and corporations 🙏

Fantastic experience with Roy as our tuk tuk driver and guide! Thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to visit the pepper farm, enhanced by the dogs and kittens that were also there, as well as the salt lake and other wonderful sights. Roy was very hospitable and knowledgeable and would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to know more about the local area!

Lovely to experience a different, more relaxed side to the country. The pepper plantation tour is conducted by the plantation for free, but for the money it was definitely worth booking this as a tour to experience and learn about the rural area around Kampot in such a relaxed, informative way. Loved this tuk tuk trip and insight into Cambodia's rural areas

Roy was an excellent guide and we really enjoyed getting to see different aspects of Kampot! The temple in the cave was super interesting and we really loved the whole pepper farm experience. It was also interesting to learn about the salt production and some of Cambodia’s history during our stop at secret lake. Roy was friendly, knowledgeable, and open to any questions or requests for stops or photos. He even bought us a coffee on the way back. 100% recommend

FANTASTIC! Roy was a fabulous guide and driver, I went for a 1/2 tour, which turned into a longer time as I wanted to see a few more things in Kampot and surrounding areas, Roy said no problem for extra time. Roy was very knowledgeable on Cambodia's history and significant times over the last century. We went to one pepper plantation, and I didn't like it as the staff were hmm not too friendly, so Roy immediately said he'd take me to another one further up the road BoTree, which was fabulous! Roy also invited me to join him and his family for a late lunch! I met his Mum, wife, and daughter, and had some delicious Cambodian food. Roy is the kindest, most helpful, respectful person with amazing stories! I HIGHLY recommend you get Roy to drive you, share his stories and show you around his part of the country, you won't be disappointed! I've travelled around the globe and done a lot of tours, walks etc., and there's only a few I remember with fondness, Roy's was one of those. Enjoy!

Roy is a delightful, entirely reliable and knowledgeable tour guide who speaks English clearly and fluently and enters into informative, intelligent conversation over a range of subjects and matters you may wish to raise.

He is as honest as the day is long and offers his services at a very reasonable rate.

A bonus, if you are lucky, is to meet his beautiful and charming little daughter, Freya, who is 5 years of age.

We spent 2 days with Roy.

The first at Bokor mountain and Kep, where Roy took us to a seafood restaurant, right on the sea, and which was very reasonably priced - local knowledge! The trip to the mountain was really worthwhile.

The second day was an informative tour of the salt fields and a Kampot pepper farm ( included was the mountain cave which we couldn’t get to because of the weather).

Roy also met us at our incoming train from Phnom Penh and delivered us to our outgoing train to Sihanoukville. Roy is entirety reliable time wise.

We highly recommend Roy to you.
