About
We'll meet at Nuwara Eliya City Center and first get familiar with the bikes and some safety points.
We then start cycling out of town up to Nanu Oya, from where we get of the main road and start winding our way down to Hatton. The route is through the tea fields, so you can say what the life of a tea picker looks like.
We come out back on the main road at Talawalkelle and enjoy the gentle downhill roads to Hatton.
At Hatton we get on the train and enjoy the scenic ride back up to Nanu Oya.

- emmas2230 contributionsFantastic tour companyFantastic trip, well organised, our itinerary was customised to our interests, mainly wildlife. Wonderful driver/ guide Chamil, who was so knowledgeable, and made our holiday such a joy. Great variety of accommodation form a Plantation bungalow, Eco lodges in the rain forest and very smart hotel in Galle. The company were very helpful too we we had a medical issue that needed some alteration of accommodation and transfer. Highly recommended.Written 13 March 2025
- Hanna123456780 contributionsJoyful Road Trip with unforgettable impressions and moments and the best driverWe made an individual road trip with our wonderful driver Fazahier. Fazahier welcomed us and we drove straight from Colombo to Anuradhapura and had there a great tour with Ruan. On the next day we went to Jaffna for two days including Delft. The island Delft is beautiful and our tuk tuk driver was a wonderful young man which showed us the best places on the island. Then we went to Tincomalee and stayed in a beautiful boutique hotel "Amanta" and enjoyed one afternoon on the beach. Trinco has wonderful temples, which impressed us very much. The next stop was Polonnaruwa with a very good guide, Sigirya with the lovely Lions Rock and the beautiful temple in Dambulla. The whole tour was very nice and varied - we had a great time. Fazahier made our tour even better - he was a lovely companion. Thank you so much.Written 22 February 2025

The places we visited and stayed were so beautiful and it was organised to perfection without feeling too rushed. Our driver Chamil was unbelievably kind and went above and beyond to make our time amazing. He was so knowledgeable and feel I really learnt a lot about Sri Lanka. Hopefully will be back one day :)Written 26 May 2024
- S7325ZNdavidw0 contributionsBest holiday everThank you Jetwing and especially Chamil our guide who was absolutely fantastic and so knowledgable about his country in all aspects. It was my 60th birthday and my wife and 3 children joined me in Sri Lanka for a very varied holiday - temples and caves, Sigiriya Rock, elephant safari, trekking, cycling, village tour, amazing train journey, tea plantation and r&r on beach to name a few things we did. The five of us had an amazing time and I couldn't recommend Jetwing and Chamil highly enough. Thank you so much.Written 11 May 2024

- susandR31JE0 contributionsExcellent cycle trip and more of Sri LankaThis E-bike cycle tour of Sri Lanka was amazing. It was so well thought out. We cycled along back roads, sand roads and along lakes and canals. The last few days were cycling down through tea plantations from the plains. But what made this tour exceptional was all the extra things that were arranged from visiting well known and less well known historical sites ( accompanied by our well informed and experienced guide, Nish) , kayaking, village tour etc etc. The standard of the hotels was excellent and full of charm. Nearly all had swimming pools. We were led by an excellent cycle guide Rakitha who ensured our breaks etc always came at the right time! He was well assisted by the support of Sanjay who drove the support vehicle and looked after all the bikes. There was an excellent mini bus driven by Nish but in reality we hardly used the bus at all. Because we had E-bikes most days we could cycle from hotel to hotel. Nothing was too much bother for the 3 men who were with us. Also the preparation and communication that was done with Prateeque at Jetwings was first class. Again all worries etc were addressed very quickly. A truly wonderful experience.Written 20 February 2024

- MHdz0 contributionsAbove expectations!Despite scheduling this trip last minute. The team did an amazing job on this trip tailored specifically for us. tEverything went PERFECT and was better than we expected. We have soo many memories! Dilan was a great guide and very patient with us. Please pass our thanks to him, I felt at the end we were soo tired we did not thank him enough. We really loved the stays you found for us, Specially the last two, they were fantastic. I personally really enjoyed the combination of staying in the lake and then in the mountain. If anything the only thing we would change is perhaps the first stay. It was a beautiful place and we really enjoyed the pool but the bathroom needed a bit of an uplift. Also, perhaps some of the stopping points could have been chosen in even better scenic areas of which were many in this trip. Thanks a lot for organizing this trip last minute for us, we really loved Sri lanka and we are already planning to be back and explore the south :) We hope we can do it with your team as well. We for sure will be recommending your teamWritten 7 March 2023
- Inspire228957235140 contributionsCycling in Sri Lanka with friendsThis was an incredible cycling holiday in the beautiful and diverse country of Sri Lanka. We were 16 friends from UK who have cycled together in Burma, India and Costa Rica. We had an amazing time visiting so many beautiful places, eating delicious food and seeing lots of wildlife. I would recommend this holiday wholeheartedly. Prateeque at Jetwing was extremely helpful and knowledgable and we will definitely use his services again when we come back to Sri Lanka. The team looking after us were lovely and nothing was ever a problem. So many highlights but watching a green turtle lay her eggs on the beach one night was a privilege, singing songs with little 5 year old school children when we stopped for shade next to their school, drinking fresh coconut water from king coconuts and eating buffalo curd with “trickle”at roadside stalls, cooking delicious curries in local home stays, fishing with the fishermen, watching a family of elephants including a 2 week old baby, meeting friendly local people, eating divine food and enjoying the warm weather whilst getting a good dose of exercise every morning cycling 60-80 km a day!Written 22 February 2023
- 275crispind0 contributionsCycle tourWe arranged a cycle tour of Sri Lanka, taking in cultural highlights directly with Jetwing adventures. The organisation could not have been better. The cycling was good, the countryside and people wonderful. Our support team all experts. Highlights included cookery morning, Safari ( seeing Elephants, Crocodiles and many extraordinary birds), visits to Sigiriya and temples. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the food was delicious. It is of note that nobody in our party of 16 suffered any stomach problem. This was a wonderful holiday arranged by a wonderful team. I can throughly recommend holidaying in Sri Lanka. When I return I will wish to use the services of Jetwing adventures.Written 21 February 2023

- TheLoughs0 contributionsSri Lanka Cycle AdventureOur second 'swallows and amazons' cycling adventure for grown-ups with Kalypso/Jetwings (previously Kerala). 400 Kms of cycling through coconut plantations, across the central plains, up into the tea hills and, finally, back to the coast. Flawlessly organised by Jetwings and our cycling guide, Dilan could not have been better or nicer. Wild elephants and amazing birds: Lesser Adjutant, Painted Storks, Paradise flycatchers to name only 3 of 40+ new ones for us. Peaceful, beautiful and a deep-in-the-soul adventure.Written 23 January 2020
