Lipton's Seat, the famous viewpoint where Sir Thomas Lipton used to sit and contemplate his plantation with its stony landscape and green tea bushes. The Lipton’s Seat lies about 18 km off Haputale Town. Take Haputale Dambetanne Road for about 9.5 km to reach the Dambetanne Tea Factory. The road is narrow and a hike would take about 2.5 hours. Lipton’s Seat can be categorized as one of the ideal places where you can go to get away from the tension of everyday life. Stop At: St Benedict's Monastery - Adisham, Haputale Sri Lanka
Adisham is a stately stone mansion built in 1931 by Sir Thomas Lister Villers, an English planter. Adisham bungalow is a masterpiece of architecture in the mountains and visited by a large number of travellers every year. Adisham bungalow is the living memory and life story of Sir Thomas. Today it is a monastery run by the benedict’s type of monks of Roman Catholic Church. Beautifully situated, in tranquil surroundings, Adisham is certainly a “must see” for those holidaymakers or chance visitors, who haunt the hills from time to time in search of a peaceful resorts, far from the madding crowd and the heat of the city.

A picturesque church, and is perhaps the oldest in the district of Badulla. Consecrated in 1869 the Anglican church unfolds a story of its own. A feature of this church is its grave stones that provides useful insight of the selected lives of a colonial past.

Day 2: Haputale - Ella
Stop At: Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, Gotuwala, Ella 90090 Sri Lanka
The Nine Arch Bridge is probably the most iconic sight in all of Ella. The beautiful stone structure crosses tea fields and forest and offers spectacular views of the area. Come when the famous blue train crosses in the morning or for a fun photo shoot.

Stop At: Little Adam's Peak, Passara Road, Ella 90090 Sri Lanka
Little Adam’s peak is one of the most popular hikes in Ella. Not to be confused with the larger more difficult hike Adam’s Peak in the nearby city of Hatton, Little Adam’s is perfect for even beginner hikers. About an hour each way plus time for photos, hiking Little Adam’s doesn’t require much time and effort.

The Ceylon Tea Factory is built as a scale model of the award winning Uva Halpewatte Tea Factory, one of the largest producers of tea in the Uva region. The restaurant has been created to give an ambiance of an actual tea factory rather than a conventional tea house.
