Explore the famed French Quarter and beyond to see areas, like Audubon Park and the mansions of the Garden District, that many visitors miss. Then venture outside city limits onboard an authentic riverboat while live jazz or calliope music (seasonal) and an optional Creole meal add to the ambiance. We were so lucky with the weather in winter! Beautiful blue skies and to be in shorts! We did the afternoon 2.30pm departure and surprised how busy and how many people this boat took. The queues were long! I’d bought tickets online but you had to still show the email at the ticket office to get paper tickets which seemed pointless to me in todays digital world. We sat up on the top deck with the jazz band and still managed to get chairs on the edge so a great view all the way up the Mississippi. We were sat on the right side too as most of the cruise is going downstream so looking forward sit on the left as the commentary mainly relates to what you see on the New Orleans city side and not the Algiers side. It was a very pleasant 2hrs but lucky we had the sun!!

Our guide Susan made it great! With a History degree, as well as being born and raised in NO, she was very informative, and FUNNY! Our driver, Vanessa, was also top notch. Great tour.

Booked on TA, but there was no place to order the buffet lunch on the cruise. Bought the lunch separately the day before the cruise and it cost an extra $4 (for a total of $17 per). The morning City was OK but rather hurried since three people were more than 15 minutes late and we had to wait for them. We were supposed to be back in time for the cruise at 11 but didn't get back till 11:25. By the time we boarded the vessel it was 11:30. We were then informed that we had 30 minutes to eat in the supposedly all you can eat buffet. Felt like I was back in the military trying to wolf down my food before I got booted out of the dining hall. The food was mediocre at best. The catfish was tough as shoe leather - how can you get make catfish that tough?? The only decent things were the rice and beans and the bread pudding.

The vessel was extremely crowded and it was next to impossible to get a good seat on deck unless you went down to the lowest deck. Even then it was a bit crowded.

The whole thing was stressful and unfulfilling. 😐

The city tour was an excellent way to get a feel for the great city that is New Orleans in just 2 hours. If you’re not used to all the walking a city offers then I highly recommend. You get several chances to get off the bus an explore a graveyard, experience the local vegetation and grab a beignet at the famous Cafe Du Monde. There is no way to see everything this tour offers if you opt to explore on your own. Our guide Liz was extremely informative and knowledgeable on the area and you couldn’t ask for a better driver then Duane. We highly recommend!

This four-hour tour is a great way to see a lot of New Orleans including the river in a short time. Our guide was knowledgeable and provided many tidbits that piqued our interest for further exploration. The first two hours were on land, then we boarded the steamboat for the last two hours. I wish we could have had a bit longer on land and a bit shorter time on the river, but enjoyed the whole experience regardless.

I took tour and was nervous on first day in town. Took tour with guide (KEN) with grayline made that tour 110% better and awesome n he was very knowledgeable and told us the truth of the government cover up and truth facts of New Orleans. So make sure you get (KEN) as your tour guide you will not be disappointed believe me.

Loved the history on the city tour, and relaxed so well on the riverboat! I recommend this for anyone! I didnt have the indoor luncheon on the riverboat, rather I ate roast beef sandwich from their snack bar--AWESOME! We will do this one again!

I very much enjoyed this combination tour. The Super City part of the tour was interesting and informative. I had been expecting a lot of overlap from a similar tour we had taken, but the route and information varied from the other. I really enjoyed the cemetery stop, especially since another tour we had hoped to take fell through.

The Natchez part of the expedition was also very good. We didn't eat on board, but the drink menu was extensive. The narration was informative here also, but at times was a little difficult to hear (my only complaint). They also offered the opportunity to view the engine room. The jazz part of the cruise added to the relaxation of being on the river.

City tour guide was very informative and interacted with all of us. We enjoyed the cruise and the historical information from the guide. The buffet was good--especially the fish! Do recommend bringing a hat and water as the weather is very warm and humid!
