    Rich History and Culture experience
John our guide absolutely made this tour! He was engaging and very knowledgeable about the history, architecture, and culture of the French Quarter. It was obvious he loves the rich history here and helped my sister and I really appreciate it too! Cafe du Monde was everything we expected and a must do, so the fact it’s included is an awesome bonus to a great tour.

    Fun and yummy tour
The food and drinks were really good. A nice representation of culture and history. The food/drink selections and restaurants were well curated. We did not have one single bad thing. Plus a bonus bubbly and desert. Craig was super knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely would do again. Price point is also reasonable for what you get served.

Craig was a knowledgeable and personable tour guide! He gave many historic facts about the history of New Orleans as well as the history of the food and cocktails that we had in each place. It was a wonderful tour and I would recommend it. 🥳

Delicious and refreshing way to spend the evening!
This was by far coolest, most original, comfortable, interesting and fun thing we did in NOLA! Laurent was so knowledgeable, so accommodating, amazingly interesting and professional. This was not a storytelling tour with a lot of dumb jokes and questionable accuracy, this guy knows his stuff and presents it in a manner that makes it fascinating. The cocktails were amazing and the food delicious- very generous sizes, making this tour a real value!! Would do it again!

    Fantastic food tour
Susan our guide was amazing - not only did she introduce us to the food and flavor of New Orleans but she answered a myriad of general and specific questions about the history and best places in town to visit - She kept the tour at an achievable pace for the whole group, provided AC breaks regularly ( the northerners especially appreciated that) and was just so knowledgable and friendly that it was an excellent experience. Family friendly and libations available.

    Enjoyable Adventure
Great event with guide that has a lot of knowledge. Good size portions on food tastings. Very hot day but there was ample stops in the shade and restaurants with plenty of air conditioning and restrooms.

    MUST DO IN NOLA
My mother and I went to New Orleans this past weekend 6/7-6/9 and we decided to book the Destination Kitchen Walking Food Tour through the French Quarter. I will start with how surprised I was that my mother suggested this tour since she is not an adventurous eater, and she has MS, so a walking tour seemed like a bit of a stretch. That being said, our tour guide (I believe her name was Kristi) was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Having had a bad experience the night before with another tour we were a bit nervous about how this one would pan out and we are so happy that we went. Our guide greeted us with a smile and a face full of glitter at the meeting spot. I explained that while my mother could walk just fine, she could not go at the pace that most of us walk at in a city... a slight jog 🙂. She reassured us that she would be taking the tour at a leisurely pace and that it had a number of spots where we would be reviewing the history of food in the city, have the opportunity to sit in the restaurants, grab drinks and use the restroom if needed and we did just that. Everyone in the group was so wonderful and had such a great time enjoying the food on the tour and better yet learning about the history of this amazing city. We started with the Beignet and some other delightful treat that I can only compare to a cider donut made with rice... (YUM) then we moved on to the French Market (a must see) to enjoy alligator and a po'boy. Everyone in the market was so amazing and our server at stop three Brian was efficient and friendly despite our time constraints. As we moved on the food got even better and the restaurants more elegant. I will not spoil the surprise with everything else we tasted (what's the fun of that)! This tour and more importantly this guide (Kristi...???) is a MUST DO when you are in New Orleans. 10 out of 10. Thank you for the wonderful experience. - Coming in Hot from Boston loaded up on Espresso.

Food, cocktails and history with Jack
Jack was an excellent guide for the food and cocktail tour. He informed us of the history of New Orleans and the food culture here as he safely maneuvered us through the streets. The food and the cocktails were superb. Make sure to have an empty stomach because the food is ample and delicious. The cocktails were handmade and potent, no watered down, sugary well drinks on this tour.

    Laurent is the best guide
Delicious choices. Only six people on the tour. Great historical perspective on the city and cuisines. Plenty of tasty food and drinks. Laurent was a charming, knowledgeable guide that felt like an old friend.

Kristi was a wonderful and flexible guide who transitioned well between historic sites and delicious eateries despite challenges of sudden closures due to COVID regulations. She was fun and accommodating and willing to help and give the best suggestions for experiences in the city even if they weren't directly related to the booked tour. You've got a gem in her!

The value of this tour was incredible. A full experience with a marvelous introduction to New Orleans was provided for less than what one could pay sitting down for dinner and drinks at most local restaurants.

Wanda was our guide. She was so knowledgeable about New Orleans food, culture and history and was entertaining on top of it all. We had a great time, tasted good food and enjoyed the company of the other members of our group who hailed from across the U.S. Recommend this tour.

The tour was very educational and enjoyable, and Chef Laurent Guerin went out of his way to be friendly and extremely accommodating to all those in attendance (late arrivals, extra time at a location, etc.). The food choices were varied and quite tasty, and you'll definitely get your money's worth. The weather was a bit warm for some but I found it to be perfect in mid March. Water was offered with a lot of the stops, so that was definitely a plus for those who did not bring anything to drink. Overall, it was an excellent experience and everything I enjoy about doing food tours such as these. I would highly recommend taking this tour and, if you can afford it, would suggest doing the private tour, as there aren't as many people and there are less distractions.

We did more walking than tasting on this food tour. It was over an hour before we actually tried any food, we spent on hour listening to our guide about non-food related history. We went to 3 places in total for the whole tour (one of those being a candy shop). We were mostly disappointed with the fact that 4 of the tastings were at the same location and they were not impressive. Not a great value for the money.

Hands down the best part of this tour was our guide Laurant. He is a (semi) retired French chef, with 8 of his 27 year career spent at a Brennan restaurant. And if you know anything about NOLA, you know Laurant is a definite cut above your typical tour guide. We visited several food and beverage establishments and it was clear our guide was well respected by the owner/managers. This man knows his food and we visited and tasted the best of NOLA. Roast Beef Po Boys at Tujague's, muffulettas at Alberto's in the FQ, spicy Boudin Balls, creole jambalaya, Pimm's Cup, pork rinds, warm pralines... you don't get any better taste of NOLA. This is well worth the price!

We did the food walking tour with Wanda and it was amazing! We booked it like 20 minutes before it started on a whim and are so glad we did. Wanda was so fun and entertaining and told us some history along the way too. The food choices were excellent and very local and some famous places and every restaurant was perfectly set up and expecting us so no waiting or confusion at all. A very well organized food tour and we even continued to explore the area with another couple we met during the tour. Highly recommend!

We had an interesting and delicious tour with Nate. He had a lot of stories about the history of New Orleans and took us to several places to try the cuisine. We did the 10:30 tour and were glad we didn’t eat breakfast as there was plenty of food to fill us up! Would recommend this tour to anyone who hasn’t tried some of the local favorites. Nate made it very interesting and really tried to make sure the whole group could hear what he was saying,

I went with 4 of my friends, 2 showed up late, and were still able to join the group. The small group consisted of 13-15 people. The group meets at a gift shop and because we are on the food tour we get a small discount. Our tour guide was Chris, he was very pleasant. The 1st tasting is at the gift shop it’s a sweet treat, then there are 5 more food/treat stops for. The samples were good and tasty. The walk isn’t bad, the only thing was the heat, so I recommend going during the cooler times of the year, but there are stops at air conditioned places, so you do get breaks from the heat.

Charles, our tour guide was welcoming and the tour was well planned to feature food in relation to the history of the city starting from early colonial through more modern times.

At our first stop we sampled and learned about Calas, and had a water / rest break before the French Market. Along the way, we heard some history of Jackson square and St Louis Cathedral.

Alligator sausage was definitely not a food I planned to try, but one bite and I was hooked! So juicy and full of flavor! There was time to enjoy the food and the surroundings before our next stop which was close by.

We were seated quickly had option of ordering a drink (at our own expense) and if you’re a Bloody Mary connoisseur this is where to order. I had a mimosa but wouldn’t recommend it. By this time our group is making conversation over drinks and shrimp po’boys!

Next location gave option to order drinks (at our own expense— would recommend both drinks I tasted, the bananas foster and original hurricane. The gumbo and grilled oyster (of which I’m not fond of) were both delicious!

Fittingly we ended with pralines in front of the New Orleans school of cooking and it’s a great place to find food to take home.
Easily the best tour during our stay

We learned a lot of history and about the food of the French Quarter. It was a large group and Susan did an amazing job of moving a lot of people around and also spending time with each person to make sure they got any questions they had answered and provide recommendations based on their interests.
I've been a tour guide for 10 years and I was impressed with her skills! She also kept it fun and thoroughly entertaining. I had some food restrictions she made sure were addressed. The tour company was very professional and provide great contact also before the tour to make it easy. Highly recommend the tour was well run, fun and educational!!
