Keith is a tour guide like no other. I went on a music history tour with him back in March. Since that time, whenever I thought about my visit to New Orleans, my next thought has been Keith's tour was an absolute highlight. I have been fortunate to do a lot of travel and have taken many small group walking tours. This tour was one of the most memorable I have ever participated in. Keith brings alive the musical history of New Orleans in a way that feels like time travel.

Fun and perfect for my husband and I. Lots of good info and back stories on NO fooderies. Keith was very knowledgeable on the food scene.

We booked for the evening tour which was great given the heat during the day. Keith was a delightful and very knowledgeable leader who toured us through the French Quarter telling us stories of musicians and music styles. A bonus was Keith’s selection of music to play at key points as we walked. Very cool! We started and ended in Frenchman Street which was buzzing when we returned just after 8pm. We also picked up some info on gigs to check out while we are here. Thanks Keith and if we come back we’ll check out your food tour that you are looking at setting up.

My son (21) and I (60) where due to take this tour with three other guys but they never showed up...hey ho. We had the coolest morning with Keith, a N’Awlins gentleman who gives the best introduction to blues, jazz and rock’n’roll, We covered ethnography, geograppghy and a little sociology to find out what makes New Orleans so cool. It was fabulous...both my son and I felt we could have walked around in Keith’s company all day. Thanks man, it was great.

Keith entertained us for the entire two hours! What a pleasure learning about New Orleans and the legends and history! It made me happy!

Anybody that follows my reviews of these walking tours knows that the make or break moment comes when you meet your guide. Keith was outstanding. We learned a lot on this tour and the two hours breezed by. Highly recommend it.

Second time around as good as the first. A year ago I did this tour with 18 others from New Zealand on a business tour. As a fellow music lover my wife was so jealous that I had been to New Orleans with out her,that I had to come back. This time with Nicky my wife. Keith is so knowledgeable regarding the history of the music scene in New Orleans,he takes you on a journey that simply takes you back in time. When Keith found out I had booked the same tour he kindly changed the tour with the permission of the others in the group. This time he included not only the foundation of the Jazz and blues scene but also he ipulled in the Rock n Roll era too. Thank you so much Abel tours for providing such an amazing experience, yet again. Credit to Keith for being Able to hold it together with the distractions on Bourbon street and also the fact we had 3 children on the tour under 5. Keep on heralding the story of music of New Orleans

Keith is insanely knowledgeable and fun. He knows his stuff and you'll probably want to taker the tour a couple of times to retain everything. Highly highly recommended!

We had a fantastic time with Keith. His knowledge of the area and the history of music is phenomenal. We learned so much and saw places we never would have seen without Keith because we didn’t know the history and culture surrounding blues and jazz music. Plus, Keith is very cultured himself. They were filming NCIS New Orleans while we were there and we found out that much of the food you see in the show is Keith’s! Our tour with Keith was beyond awesome! He is extremely knowledgeable and humorous. He made the history of Jazz and music come to life in our two hours with him. He is absolutely a hidden gem 😁

Keith is amazing! So real and knowledgeable. Money well spent, encore!! My fiancé and I got learn all about NOla’s 300 yrs of musical history in such a short period of time. We also loved the CC coffee break 😊

We loved this tour! If you came to NOLA for the jazz then this is a must do tour.Keith, our guide, was over the top with the history which spans the old world and the new to get us to where we are today...he introduced to the jazz, the blues and to rock and roll .... hope in the future he does a rock n roll tour as I would be up for that!

Keith has done his research and written his talk is a very painterly way. Very enjoyable and super informative tour!

Took the morning tour before leaving for the airport. Lots of info and Keith tells it all with great passion. A very worthwhile tour, especially at $25!! Book it!

My husband and I were a bit hesitant when we were the only two people on the tour. But we quickly realized this was to stand by legendary homes, bars, and studios without disrupting the normal flow of people. Also, we quickly became friends with Carlo, who is an excellent historian and story teller. We had a wonderful time and got great pictures!
