New Orleans Fun Education
I traveled to New Orleans with my 20-something daughters. We were there for a quick weekend, and during our visit we wanted to experience a little history, a little architecture, a little music and a lot of fun. We booked this tour for the history portion and not only got a great overview of New Orleans history, but some architectural knowledge, plenty of fun and good recommendations too. We left with a much better understanding of New Orleans place in history, as well as a good sense of place and culture. As a native to the area, Renee is a wealth of information about the city, can answer questions on a myriad of topics and give great recommendations to help you make the most of your time there. Totally worth the time and money spent!

Fabulous introduction to French Quarter
Oct 2021
Our guide Josh was super knowledgeable and able to answer every question we threw at him! He asked us at the beginning what we were most interested to see and it felt like the tour was tailor-made for our needs and not just a repetition of the same material that had been used a thousand times already. Good to understand the range of historical events from the original settlers through to recent hurricanes and their impact on the development of the city. Also the various local cultures and how they evolved eg the origins of Cajun and Creole and how each is unique. Tour was well paced - it was a hot day and Josh was sympathetic to a need to sit down occasionally, buy a bottle of water etc. Didn't feel rushed but still covered a lot of material in the time we were together. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome Tour with Josh!
Oct 2021 • Couples
This walking tour of the French Quarter was awesome! Our guide, Josh, did an amazing job with answering our questions and being mindful about addressing topics relating to the interests of the group. We stopped for water, got a chance to sit, and got several restaurant/sightseeing recommendations. This was the perfect way to start our visit to New Orleans. I would 100% recommend—thank you, Josh!

Josh was a fantastic guide. He shared so many aspects of the city, from the history of the French and Spanish ownership to the architecture, food, voodoo, and mix of cultures, all in a way that was factual and respectful. His sense of humor added fun throughout the tour. I learned a lot and had a good time. Highly recommend this tour with Josh.

Best Tour with the Best Guide
Oct 2021 • Family
Josh was an INCREDIBLE tour guide! I went with my mom and the booking process was extremely simple. We arrived at the obvious meeting place and were blown away for two hours with the knowledge and consideration of our guide. He kept us in the shade, offered access to water (for purchase), and gave tons of personal recommendations. His love for his job (as a full time tour guide) was extremely apparent. I would 10/10 recommend this tour to anyone, and ask for JOSH!!!

Lucky Bean Tours and Guide Josh Wowed Out-of-Towners AND Locals
This experience was awesome from booking until the finish of the tour. Website was easy to navigate, and communication from the tour guide followed soon after booking. Great value for the money. Tour guide Josh is passionate, knowledgeable about his adopted home. He did a great job of adapting his tour to the individual interests of our group while turning our attention to details about the city we might have otherwise missed. Recommend highly!
