Highlights
  • Explore New Orleans’ sights and history on a small-group bike tour
  • Venture beyond the French Quarter to less touristy parts of the city
  • Leisurely pace and flat route is suitable for most riders
  • Cover more ground than a walking tour with the flexibility to stop often
What to expect
  • Pick up your bike and meet your guide in the French Quarter, and begin with a ride through this famously funky neighborhood, plus the historic districts of Faubourg Marigny and Faubourg Tremé. Then go beyond the touristy boundaries to explore more of the city, following leafy Esplanade Avenue to the green expanse of City Park, passing St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. Pay tribute to the city’s jazz heritage in Louis Armstrong Park and Congo Square, and pedal to the shores of Bayou St. John, a critical waterway used by Native Americans, early settlers, voodoo practitioners, and even pirates. Expect to cover a total distance of about 10 miles (16 kilometers) at a leisurely pace before finishing the tour back in the French Quarter.

Awesome way to explore the city!
Fantastic way to view the city from a different perspective. Our guide Eric was funny and knowledgeable. It was just the perfect mix of biking and history. The route was flat and easy. The guide’s pride and extensive knowledge of his hometown really shows and makes the trip special. Even though I lived in the city years ago and visit often, I learned so many new things. A true treat in a beautiful day. The stop at Cafe du Monde in City Park was a plus. Highly recommend this tour!

A great time!

I had a great time on the bike tour! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. On the tour, we saw many different sites and I learned a lot of New Orleans' history. Our tour guide was very entertaining and engaging. We did the Creole Odyssey - mid-city bike tour which is about 9 miles total but you don't notice that it is that long. We rode at a leisure pace that allowed for everyone to keep up and you make several stops along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

A wonderful tour!
May 2021
Our group of five friends loved this tour! Eric is such a nice guy, and he is incredibly knowledgeable about everything in the city from its history and folklore to its drainage systems and its burial customs. You will be amazed at all that you learn. Plus, he has the most charming way of starting a story, veering off to what you think might be a tangent, and then circling back to tie all the threads of his story together. We all loved listening to him. The bikes are comfortable, the route is totally flat and not strenuous, and it was just a great way to see the city.

Great way to see different parts of the city. Easy, flat 3 hour tour that gets you out of the French Quarter through neighborhoods to the beautiful City Park. Bike lanes out and a dedicated bike path back make the ride easy in the city traffic. Learned lots of interesting history.
